Chimayo at the Beach offers a beachside dining experience filled with endless summer ocean views at the foot of the Huntington Beach Pier. We feature Southern California Coastal Cuisine with local favorites such as Ceviche, Crispy Calamari, "Street Style" Tacos along with vibrant south of the border inspired preparations of fresh seafood and premium steaks. Our full service bar is the perfect spot to take in a fiery sunset while sipping an exotic cocktail or to enjoy an ice cold beer after a day on the beach. "Disappointed to learn the restaurant was bought out by the same company that owns Duke's, a less than average restaurant located above Chimoya, also in a terrific location. Please, if you're going to take up such incredible space, offer a better quality of food. We go for the atmosphere and the grilled romain salad."

"I made a reservation and was told to wait by the bar while my table was set up. I waited nearly half an hour before I realized they had forgotten about me and went up to the hostess desk."

"My previous experiences at this restaurant have always been outstanding. The service this time was not what I expected. I got conflicting information about valet parking. The restaurant said it was taken care of and valet charged $ 6.00, which we had to pay."

"We enjoyed drinks at the bar prior to being seated. Bar service was attentive but the service went downhill after we left the bar. We rarely saw our server and had to almost "capture" her to get help. This was the only lowlight. The food was delicious (shrimp enchiladas and filet mignon were ordered) and reasonably priced. Overall we did enjoy Chimayo and will very likely return despite the crummy server."

"It was Thanksgiving, so, to be fair, what do you expect on a day when most of the regular staff was probably not there? The food was edible but I wouldn't rate it as even good. Service was great, though. Even though it was an absolutely beautiful day, the view was covered up with plastic. Will find another beach option next year, as a long walk on the beach was the best part of the afternoon."

"I just moved to Southern California and went to Chimayo for Thanksgiving and this is not the place to go for a holiday/ special occasion. The food was horrible. I got the traditional Thanksgiving dinner and the turkey and stuffing was as dry as saw dust. My friend got the lobster 3 ways and it was chewy and flavorless. The food ruined the experience for me."

"Nice restaurant with new ownership. Servers were all friendly and attentive. Food was great; we ordered mahi mahi tacos, chicken tortilla soup, and the salmon, which was excellent. Brought out the wrong appetizer and comped us for the correct one, which was very nice of them.

The group behind us was a bit loud but not the restaurant's fault. Great place to eat on the patio for the view!"
