"We made a reservation for a party of 7. When we got there, on time, we were squizzed into a 6 persons table and were told nobody could seat at the end table, although it wasn't obstructing...Totally rude girl at the entrance.
The meal was quickly served, which we appreciated, but almost cold for everybody.

"This was a cute place with outdoor seating on the UWS I had never been to before. I was looking forward to it, and it started off great w warm tortilla chips and hot sauce.
3/4 entrees came out at once, and my friend had to ask where hers was, then ask for a fork twice in order to start eating. A bit later, we asked to order more drinks: 1st disappearing act. 10 min later she came back and took our drink order.
We ordered "the dessert with the cajeta", but she didn't understand which we were referring to, dropped the dessert menu on our table then: disappearing act #2.

"Our service during this visit was horrible. The waiter rushed our table to order and once he delivered our entrees never came back. He was very interested in another table and seemed to linger near that particular table the entire time we ate our dinner. We asked other servers for additional drinks and even for our check."

"Great place with excellent margaritas! Had a good time and there are regulars at the bar that are great characters and fun for conversation. The only negative about this place is that I had to increase my reservation from 2 to 3 people at the last minute and was bumped into the standby list which was a 35 minute wait."

"A group of us meet here often for special occasions -- it's conveniently located for most of us, and some of us are "regulars." The food is consistently good for the price, and the staff members are courteous, cheerful and accommodating. Sometimes a little noisy, because it's a good place for families, but always a pleasant experience overall."

"I initially came to Gabriela's because of an ad I saw on Facebook in 2010. They were offering free drinks, and it was just a few blocks from my boyfriend's job, so I made a reservation for us. Little did I know that my boyfriend would propose! So, this year, another couple that we're friends with wanted to double date on Valentine's Day, and the first place I thought of was Gabriela's! When I posted a question on their Facebook page, the Admin remembered me, and replied, "We always have room for you, Eva! After all, you got engaged here!"
That kind of personal connection is rare, not only in restaurants, but in NYC period. Once we got there, service was impeccable. You have a lifelong customer, all because of Facebook!"
