Located in Boston's historic North End, Aria Trattoria features a mix of modern and old world Italian cuisine while paying homage to Massimo family roots from abruzzi influences. The menu is built on a foundation of simple, fresh pastas and antipasti, as well as a healthy dose of grilled meats, fish, and poultry dishes. Well-loved favorites like limoncello marinated shrimp, Cavetelli con Agnello, and massimo's grandmother's Porchetta
"A welcome spot to the neighborhood and a step above most of the typical Italian American restaurants. If you want a more traditional Italian meal with a touch of Greek influences (actually similar to what you would find in some southern Italian regions) this is it - simply delicious. Thanks Massimo!"

"My husband and I were celebrating a special occasion recently and had a wonderful dinner at Aria. Their featured wine was from a winery we had just visited and was a perfect match for our dinner. The Amatriciana was perfectly al dente and was very similar to the one we had in Rome. Our porchetta and veal second courses were excellent and the accompanying broccoli rabe was delicious. Our service was also flawless. We would highly recommend Aria Trattoria!"

"I truly hope that this restaurant can rise to the occasion. Visited on first day and it was outstanding
. Visited the other night and was very disappointed with food. Way over seasoned with garlic, etc. Lamb was old and inedible. Chicken had too much spicing - again garlic and other things going on. Left with overpowering spices in our bellies - not in a good way.
This was so much better the first visit! Italian food in Italy is much more subtle. Did the the kitchen staff change? I write this review with love and hope - please - this restaurant can be great!"

"Great for people with gluten free requirements. Owner and waiter were very friendly. Went back the next night for a second round. Same great experience all over again."

"Excellent service, and the food was good. The shrimp with the risotto were a little overcooked, but the meal was tasty overall. Fish special was good but not brilliant. The bolognese was excellent. A very nice evening out - thank you."
