"The concepts are much better than the execution. Everything was just a bit too much, from the sauces to the amount of ginger used in one of the dishes. Bloody Mary menu looks great, but the drinks were watery, and we needed to order a glass of tomato juice to compensate. The waitress did not comp the juice either; it showed up on our bill."

"I needed to make a reservation for 13, and was able to do so through OpenTable, which is great. 13 is too large for most, but too small to be a party-size group, so this added convenience is huge. Everyone enjoyed their food, we were able to get great wine for $20/bottle and we all left stuffed and happy. Of the four places this group went over the weekend, easily the best."

"I always like going to Logan Tavern. We had a delicious meal and great service. "Energetic" does not accurately capture the noise level, though. "Overwhelming" would be more accurate, but that is probably because it was a very busy evening on one of the first warm weekends of the year. We will be back for dinner and for lunch in the future."

"The menu has changed somewhat. A few of the old staples, such as the boneless fried chicken breast is still available, but the selection of dishes seems very limited lately. Worse, the prices have risen to the point where Logan Tavern is no longer an option for weekly get togethers. It's still nice to go there once in a while, but with the pricey and very limited menu, it's no longer the great neighborhood spot that it once was."

"Went for dinner before a performance at the studio theater. have been here many times but tonight it was a disappointment. The food was below average. My chicken was over cooked and the meat loaf had very little taste. The service was hectic and not very attentive. there was no follow up on our dinner. There are too many new places to go, so probably will not be back."

"First of all, they let me push my reservation by thirty minutes because my boyfriend was running late and still seated me at the table even though he hadn't shown up yet. That was great. Thank you! Our server was training, so there were some minor bumps, but as someone who used to wait tables, this is never a problem. The food was delicious. I had the chopped salad, but it was exactly what I was looking for and it really hit the spot. My boyfriend ate every bite of the bacon-wrapped meatloaf. If I had one complaint it would be that the bar is just too small. It doesn't seat many people, so the leftovers end up bunching up in that area - and subsequently the two tables crammed into the front corner by the windows, where we sat."

"It was a good thing we came in early because we were planning to see a play after our meal. The service was slow because it seemed that the restaurant was understaffed and our server was running around like a chicken with her head cut off. It took longer to get our food. But the food was very good and it was a comfortable restaurant. The noise level made it hard to hear conversations. All in all, it was a good experience but would have been terrible if we were on a rushed schedule."

"I found the Logan Tavern to be a very comfortable restaurant with a nice friendly atmosphere. The staff were helpful and accommodating. I found the bill of fair covered a wide range of tastes and appetites Our waitress was informative and helpful in selecting out entrees as well as a good recommendation in our beverages. The meal was excellent and the bill was well below that expected. If I am ever back in Washington I will endeavour to eat at this establishment again."

"Went with a group of 6-there were many large groups at brunch on a Sunday afternoon. Even with a reservation we had to wait a little while for a table, but that was not a problem for our group. Our waiter was friendly and informative. I asked to sub out the meat for one dish, but they weren't able to do it without subbing out the entire sauce, so I got it with the dish and it was good. Great mimosas (you pick your "mixer"). Overall a brunch spot I would return to!"

"As this restaurant is in a prime location, it is a hot spot! If you are going for Sunday Brunch/lunch, make a reservation! It was packed until about 2pm, when it started to wind down and clear out. If you are driving, arrive at least 15-20 minutes prior so that you can find a parking spot. Also, make sure that your entire party is present because they will not seat incomplete parties. Other than the aforementioned, the Brunch food was very good and reasonably priced."

"Always a terrific spot for pre-theatre at Studio Theatre. Wonderful in Summer and Winter. Outdoor seating in Summer, and at the big table with candles in the middle of the restaurant in Winter, while you wait for the rest of your party to join. Great inexpensive wines by the glass - always wonderful vegetarian options. Had the fried brussel sprouts this time - very yummy!"

"I ate dinner there with a friend. The bacon-wrapped dates continue to be "last-meal" worthy - the standard by which I judge all other such snacks. But the dinners were good, too - I had scallops with greens that were awesome, and my friend had a fried chicken dish with totally yummy grits."

"My friends and I had a reservation at Logan's during restaurant week. Half of my party was late and they were nice enough to hold our table for 30 min for us. We were allowed to order anything off the menu for restaurant week with minimal extra fees added on. Most of the girls at my table ordered steak with mushrooms and they all enjoyed it. For starters I had the brussel sprouts, we also ordered the oysters and calamari. All of the starters were great and fit for 1-2 people. For the main entree I ordered the veggie pasta and didn't like the flavoring. I was also disappointed that the dish was the only veggie option for an entree. The desserts were limited by the time we had ordered. But we all recommend the health cheesecake."

"Had a very nice pre-theater dinner. The food was well-prepared, and the restaurant staff were very accommodating. We called ahead to tell them that we would be 15 minutes late for our reservation, and when we arrived they were able to seat us quickly even though others were on a waiting list and we were late. Our server was very attentive to the dietary restrictions for my dining partner and made sure the food conformed to her needs, plus she made sure we were done in time to make our show."

"This was my first visit to Logan Tavern, but I'd definitely come back. The location is perfect for grabbing dinner and heading to the theater, and the food was terrific! I really loved the brussel sprout opener and my scallop and roasted butternut squash entree. Great flavors and portion size."

"Logan Tavern is part of a chain that includes 'The Pig', 'Grillfish', 'The Commissary' and others. Logan is a bit more upscale, and serves competent middlebrow cuisine. Not disappointing, not inspiring, good food in decent proportions. A good place for a business dinner or for a group where you don't know everyone's preferences well, because the menu is varied and pleasant."

"The food here is mediocre at best, it is tasteless and dry. I've eaten here several times and try new stuff each time, but have never came out impressed. I always feel like I've wasted my money. The main reason we go is because it's right across the street from Whole Foods which makes it convenient when shopping there. The only saving grace is the service; Everyone is always nice and you don't have to wait long for anything. If it wasn't for the service I would never spend my money at Logan Tavern again."

"One of my newest fav resturants. Logan's offers everything I enjoy about a resturant. Local and comfortable setting. I had a large group and needed to add some additional seats. Not a problem. I had called 90 minutes prior. Very helpful. Waited for friends at bar, great drinks and beers.
Dinner was started with a bunch of apps: dates and bacon, go figure, awesome. Veggie typle spring rolls and we had plates of brussels sprounts are a MUST! Dinner was a vary or items from my friends: salmon, pork chops, meatloaf and burgers are also a MUST. Everything was great! Service Awesome."
