Hollywood has a new leading lady and her name is Sadie. With a hint of the Depression Era and all the glamour of the Forties, this restaurant, mixology bar and lounge is full of life. Serving a New American menu with a local feel; a spirits selection that celebrates Hollywood during Prohibition; and a courtyard dining space like no other in LA, Sadie is destined to be a star.
When guests arrive at Sadie, we feel as though we are welcoming them into our home. Sadie achieves a warm, inviting, and surprisingly unpretentious, "at-home" atmosphere. The open layout is wrapped in deep neutral tones, with details such as reclaimed brick and wood, vintage light fixtures, and antique photographs certain to strike up conversation.
Sadie Kitchen & Lounge represents a new era of eating and drinking that combines the best of Hollywood's chic past with its provocative present. We welcome you to join us.
"A wonderful find. Very cool space and large outdoor space. Nice variety on the menu and I believe it was the owner, a very kind woman, who greeted me by name, graciously checked in during dinner, and gave a very sincere thank you when we left. It was nice to feel a genuine heartfelt appreciation as a diner in a restaurant in LA."

"This place didn't blow me away, but I'd definitely like to try it again and work my way through more of the cocktail list (plus get more of the amazing complimentary biscuits with bacon/coffee butter!). I recommend the flatiron steak, which was surprisingly tender, with no fat or gristle, so they must have a quality meat supplier, and also the malbec by-the-glass. A lovely dinner, and I'm looking forward to returning, and especially thank the staff for the wonderful, friendly and informal service."

"Attended the restaurant on 4/20/13 for my Mother's Birthday. Selected this restaurant due to being highly recommended via Yelp and on restaurants to try while in the area.
Locating the restart was a bite difficult due to the extremely small sign located on the street.
The inside: Very nice set up. We arrived at 7:30pm, they candles were lite. It became dark soon after and there were not additional lighting. If you have a hard time seeing maybe arriving earlier would be better for you. Nice place for a date.
Order the fried chicken with mash potatoes and carrot. Order a spirit: spring fling. If you are accustomed to southern fries chicken, you will not be please with this. He chicken appears to be skinless and is bland. Coming fr"

"Exquisite experience. Pleasant indoor dining and lovely landscaped garden al fresco dining area as well. Adventurous and delicious cruise and terrific service. Just be careful of drinks' charges. A Belvedere Martini, about normal size, cost $22. Ridiculous!"

"The warm biscuits with bacon butter were so good, crunchy on the outside soft in the middle. Fried chicken with saracha butter was crunchy and delicious to. My date had the grilled chicken with vegetables-a great health alternative. We sat on the beautiful patio. I almost dropped my purse in the water feature. It was a great time. The service was great too!"

"Another amazing dinner at Sadie! The outdoor seating is like nothing you can find in Hollywood. I took my parents as a treat and the food, ambiance, and cocktail list blew everyone away as always."

"The ambiance was amazing. I loved the outdoor patio area. It's a great place for a date or a ace to come with a group of friends. I was with my boyfriend and best friend. We received impeccable service. The staff were all very welcoming and were constantly making sure that we were enjoying ourselves. The drink list was great and the food was amazing. I would definitely recommend the shrimp and grits as well as the mussels. I will definitely be back in the near future."

"A lovely space and excellent food. It was quite busy when we were there and the food took a while to arrive (I think the waitress messed up) but the manager was extremely charming and sent us a dessert on the house. It ended up being a great meal..the salmon was delicious and the brussels sprouts are a perfect side dish. The biscuits are just too good. I run a guesthouse and often send my guests to restaurants that are worthy of recommending...Sadie is smart to do the open table points since that inspired me to try a new place and now I'll be sending guests there!"

"Their in-out patio was lovely. Food was pretty good, but our waiter was terrible and food took a long time to come out because of him (he admitted he only "fired" it after about 20 minutes after our appetizers came. The bar looked nice too. Cocktails were good."

"Where to begin....... first off, they said we never confirmed our party of 9 reservation for Valentine's. I never received a call. They did seat us... but instead of placing us outside in the beautiful ambient area, we got schlepped in a corner by the bar. The manager was rude until he realized my friend works for a well-loved celebrity. Unbeknownst to him? We all work at high levels of the entertainment industry with talent. I will not be referring any of my clients here. A $60 three course meal with basically a $2 green salad means I paid $40 for salmon and $18 for a bland dessert. I should've just gone to Providence if I wanted to pay $40 for salmon. Upside? The lobster risotto was good."

"This is a nice little gem right off of the Hollywood cacophony. Parking is very easy and you immediately step into a welcoming, vintage charm as you enter the bar. We were a group of 8 late20s/early30s friends meeting on a Friday night for a birthday. We enjoyed prohibition era cocktails from the bar as we waited for our friends to arrive. I'd definitely come back for happy hour, but we were there for dinner. The hostess and manager were extremely accommodating for our group and we never felt crowded in their spacious, airy dining room. Everyone enjoyed their apps and entrees. The waitress recommended excellent wines to pair with our tasty food and I was thrilled she had "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate on the dessert plate we ordered"

"Nice Hollywood find with easy valet parking for $5 and nice casual friendly ambiance. The key is to not let the waiters influence you too much. I normally never eat fried chicken, but I took a shot and I still don't like it. The mussels, flatbread were all first rate. The salads, excellent. People rave about the drinks but to me the southern take was boring, not mind blowing as say Rivera. But still it's a thumbs up for Sadie."

"The Valentine's Day menu was a set menu with very few choices. The appetizers were poor and consisted of an asparagus tart, tuna tartare (both were not good) and a third item. The main courses were steak, which was decent, mushroom ravioli which were average and a salmon which we did not have. The desert options were an inedible chocolate trio and terrible lemon tart. There was no price printed on the menu, so the $60 per person was a shock. Perhaps the regular menu is better. I was surprised at the very low quality of food (except for the steak) at the given price. The whole experience made my girlfriend think I had made a last-minute reservation on opentable with whatever restaurant was still available without much thought, she was right."

"My son and I did the dine LA menu. His portion of the pizza and fried chicken was huge. He took leftovers home. I thoroughly enjoyed my kale salad starter and my shrimp and grits were delightful. My chocolate dessert was very good didn't need the pudding portion. Service is ok. The main servers need to have their private conversations away from tables. The bus staff there works very hard."

"Went there for restaurant week. Food was great, but our server was slammed. We don't blame her, but our very nice waitress disappeared for most of the night and there were 20-30 mins. between courses. Seems the kitchen was backed up and they were understaffed. We didn't mind because we like taking our time and enjoying the evening. We were, however, at the restaurant for about 2 hours 45 mins. Keep that in mind if you have after-dinner plans.
I went to the bar before dinner while waiting for my date, and the guy making drinks was VERY on top of his game. They had two drinks for $6 happy hour- Moscow Mule and whiskey old fashioned. I had the old fashioned and it was well made."

"Place looks great, service was acceptional. They forgot about the food though. I hate to say it, but from the salad and deviled eggs, to the steak and the salmon, the food was not up to par. It's a shame because everything else was fantastic. If the core experience is still what your looking for in dining out (the food), I would not recommend Sadie's."

"I wasn't intend on trying this restaurant. The link that directed me to OpenTable provided by LA Restaurant Week is incorrect. The restaurant I was interested is called "Seta Dine : Lounge at Whitter, CA" not "Sadie at Los Angeles, CA." The whole time I made a reservation to the wrong restaurant. No wonder when I arrived to my restaurant, I was informed there is no reservation made."

"Booked for Dine LA after reading over menu online. All expectations were exceeded and then some. 1. The staff was amazing. They did an excellent job being attentive without being overbearing. Great communication between the entire wait staff & I really do appreciate all of the employees acknowledging us when we made eye contact - whether they were our waiter or not. 2. Time between courses was well managed. The meal was well paced, I never felt rushed & never waited too long for anything either. The entire setting was very comfortable. 3. The food was also great. The biscuits are a must, delicious. Shrimp and grits were great, I'm from Virginia & qualified to judge such things. Salmon over Kale with mash potatoes also excellent!"

"I went for my birthday. We had a 9pm reservation but we were not seated until 950pm. The waiter seemed more concerned with every table but ours, he only checked on us once. However the food came out fast and was delicious. After we paid for our bill of about $130, my friend asked the waiter on the side if they had some kind of dessert they can give me for my birthday. They came out with half melted ice cream. We eat the ice cream and about ten minutes later the waiter never come back so we assumed it was free like most decent restaurants would do. As we were leaving the waiter yelled at us to paid for the like $5 ice cream which was extremely embarrassing. You would think after making us wait almost a hour to sit they would give it to us."
