"We got a little lost because the restaurant is tucked in a shopping center. Well worth it though. Nice portions, very tasty. The server was very friendly. Good choice of kids meals. My daughter loved the spaghetti!! Mint/basil leamonade was great for a hot day. Would highy recommend to anyone looking for casual dining with a bit of flair."

"We went for Restaurant Week and were not impressed. Our waiter was very perky but was borderline creepy. Our salads were ok, small but ok. Entrees were so small that we thought there was an error. The filet was approx 3" x 3". And about 3/4" thick. I ordered mines medium and it came out well done. My friend ordered hers rare and it came out medium. The 2 shrimp accompanying the filets were so cute. The fish portion was small too. Dessert was ok. After dinner, we headed to Pizza Hut since were were all so hungry."

"Though our food was very good--crabcake appetizer, Bungalow Salad, short ribs and Thai Shrimp/scallops--the service needed improvement from the hostess who couldn't find our Open Table reservation (I showed the confirmation to her on my phone) to the server who did well until she got overly involved in a large table. At the time of payment, we were told their computers were down and they apologized for the payment delay. Previously, we have had a very nice dinner there so we have to hope that this experience was caused by the staff being thrown off by the computers being down. The live music was very pleasant, perfect Hawaiian background music."

"I enjoy Tommy Bahamas a lot. It has a very relaxed, comfortable feel with reasonable prices and great service. The only downside on this visit was that two of our meals were a bit undercooked. Mine was manageable and I ate it anyway, but my friends had to be sent back because it was pork and it was pink/red in the middle, very red. The service was the best I've had and the music is often very appealing and enjoyable. The atmosphere at the restaurant is probably the best you can get at the Shops at Wailea and I always recommend Tommy's first before the other 4 restaurants at the Shops..."

"We have been to TB many time in different cities. We know we can count on a good meal and we were not disappointed. The Piña Colada was the best we've had on the island. The dinners were large - we took some home and enjoyed them for lunch the next day. Definitely a great choice for a family or large groups. We sat outdoors and enjoyed the ambiance."

"Arrived with reservation. Informed there was no outside seating. Why make a reservation? It was crowded. Seated at a table in a hallway right at the exit of the kitchen. I wanted to walkout. My wife and son wanted to stay. It felt as if our table was at the exit from the trains at Grand Central Station. I ordered wine. It was not chilled properly. They ordered the daily fish special and said it was very good. I ordered scallops and shrimp grilled and served over rice. The scallops were perfect, the shrimp over cooked and the rice cold, due obviously a lack of experience in the kitchen when it comes to plating a dish. One would think that at $40/plate they could get it right. With all the other great choices in Wailea, I'll never be back."

"We have always enjoyed Tommy Bahamas over the years and had a very nice lunch the day before, but this evening was veer disappointing. The special (recommended) was a 6oz filet with crab and lobster fondue topping. The topping was a gimmick at best with little flavor and so over-beaten that if there was crab or lobster present it wasn't identifiable. My son and I both requested medium rare and received medium instead which didn't improve the otherwise forgettable filet.
The mashed potatoes were dry and lukewarm. The vegetables were horrible combining stringy, tuff, bitter broccoli rabe with heirloom tomato quarters.
On the plus side, the service was great, the atmosphere was very comfortable and the live music was excellent."

"We went to Tommy Bahamas for lunch. Chicken Lollipops were outstanding. The crab cakes were very tastey. The desserts is what we really went for. Their butterscotch pudding is the best. We also had key lime pie, that was good. Overall, we were very satisified with our outting there."

"A great place on Maui for lunch or dinner. Everything is delicious and well prepared. For dinner, we had filet mignon and a pan roasted local fish. Both were some of the best I've ever tried: sumptuous! We also tried the cocoanut shrimp, and the Hawaiian slaw that comes with those really make the dish. Yum! We stopped in for a late lunch one time and enjoyed the best fish tacos in the world. I mean it. And of course, the cocktails and the service were great as well. Wish I didn't have to go al the way to Wailea to enjoy their food!!"

"This is our favorite restaurant when we go to Wailea every year. The food is always great and the prices are much less than the hotels. The selection is so good that we can go several times each visit and always love it. (Compared to the hotel restaurants where I can find only one thing I want on their menu!).

"Arrived at the restaurant a few minutes early and had a chance to get a drink before being seated. The bartenders were busy and I thought the service was a little slow, but once the drinks arrived, and we got seated, the service was outstanding.
The food was well prepared. I had scallops that were very fresh and perfectly cooked.
The ambiance was typical Tommy Bahama - relaxed, yet with an air of class. Specialty drinks were definitely on the menu when you're in a setting like this. The place is not cheap, but well worth the money for a special occasion."

"We ate here twice the week of March 29th. Everything was fantastic, from the service to food, that we could have eaten here every night. However, it is PRICEY!! The bartenders are fantastic. Kai (I know this is not his full name) was outstanding, he tweaked our mojitos at our request and they were fantastic. The next night we were sat at a table in a very loud section and the server had our table moved to a more quiet location, without us asking, AND provided my husband and I each a glass of champagne to aplogize for the bad table. WOW! The food was excellent; I had the catch of the day both times and it was delicious - this from a person who never eats fish unless in Hawaii. I would highy recommend eating here."

"Overall, a very good restaurant. Food is good, but not great (overcooked fish in my opinion, always knocks down a food rating and the snapper was definitely overcooked). Staff is well trained and efficient. But the real issue that would keep this restaurant from a "great" rating is the noise level. Tables are very close together and even being open to the outside, the noise level is way up there. We had to shout across a table for two to be heard. At an adjoining table of 5, one of the diners had to ask the waiter to repeat because he couldn't be heard across the table. Best food is definitely the deserts. Bottom line, we'd probably make the drive to Mama's Fish House for a better overall dinner experience at the same price point."

"Dinner for 6 was a fabulous meal and they were so considerate to put us as requested on the patio but even better put us at the end away from all the children and families. It was very nice to have an adult evening and hear yourselves. We enjoyed a couple of bottles of petite syrah and the food was delicious. Friends had the Short Ribs and loved them and others had the special fish entre which was excellent.

"We have eaten at TB before and had a great experience. It was raining and our table was partly exposed for half of our six diners. My wife and daughter don't complain much and if not for knowing one of the bartenders who kindly organized a better spot we would have left.
It seemed the waitstaff were either oblivious or forced by management to leave it alone. We were not the only tables involved."

"Tommy Bahama's has always been a favorite of ours when visiting the island! Our meal was great, i enjoyed the Ahi tuna, which was done to perfection,my wife's crab stuffed shrimp was also a delite! Our reservation was for 7 pm, which was delayed due to seating problems caused by a weather disturbance, no fault of the restaurant staff, they were great at a time which seemed chaotic for most."

"We often have lunch with business clients at Tommy Bahama's while on Maui. The menu has a nice range of choices and the food is always very good, if not particularly inventive. If you have someone in your group who does not eat fish or seafood, this restaurant is a good choice. As always, the best dishes rely on locally sourced ingredients, and specials are often the way to go. The patio is a nice place to sit, even without the spectacular views you find at many Maui restaurants."

"Although I am a devoted fan of their clothes I am taking Tommy Bahama Maui off my list. For the second time I have not gotten requested seating from them even though I have a reservation. The front desk staff is just rude and uninterested. The indoor dining experience is really loud with unpleasant music blaring. It was really hard to even hold a conversation with my father. The waiter debated my wine order with me even though I told him I was familiar with the wine in question. The place was extremely crowded, good for them, but that made me feel like I was eating at the train station instead of fine dining. Note that even if you do get a seat on the balcony there is no ocean view.
On the other hand, everyone liked their food."
