"We definitely enjoyed ourselves, but they were a little skimpy on the food. The appetizers had only 3 spring rolls, and the sandwiches were small. The food overall was very good. I wouldn't go running back."

"Went for the first time Saturday night with a small group. The food was good, but pricey for the kind of restaurant it was. The waiter was friendly but needs more training in service. He was nowhere to be seen for periods of time and did not check to see how things were. With the prices they were charging, would expect better service. Think the owner needs to decide what kind of restaurant this should be. It has an atmosphere and service of a casual bar with food and prices of a nice restaurant."

"Had dinner on a Saturday night recently. Restaurant is attractive with lots of help. Loved the tin ceilings. We both ordered fillet mignon. My rare order was done to perfection but my husband's request for well done had to be sent back. But it was back quickly. Waiter was attentive. Only downside was noise level. But we will be back."

"I had been to this restaurant two times prior, one of which I was at the bar and the other having the same experience with a overcrowded table. What is the point of making a reservation and having them confirm it for you if they can not give you a table that accommodates your large party. They gave us a table set for 7 at a table for 5 evidenced by the fact that the two tables next to us were setup for 5. We asked to be moved and got a little too much flack for my liking. Especially since the restaurant was empty at 5:15. No apologies were offered and we felt that we were hassling them by asking. This place is off our list."

"We were upset there were no specials. We ordered the seafood tower and the lobster roll. After taking our order the waiter cam back and informed us that they were out of lobster at 4 o'clock on Easter Sunday. We also ordered the blondie dessert that they were also out of. We weren't given any plates with our shared appetizers. I was very upset because we had been there before and were very happy with the service. The food that we did get was very good."

"Visited Park West Tavern on a busy Saturday night. Nice, energetic atmosphere. Our waiter had too many tables-service was slow, noise was too loud-made it hard to hold a conversation. Food was good. If I go again, I'd try a week night to see if service improves and if the noise is less!"

"The service was great, the food was very good however, when you are having a "girl's night out" and you are seated next to a 4 year old who bounces on her seat near the window and stares at you while having a conversation and trying to eat, is quite disturbing! A parent who doesn't seem to think this is NOT a problem is even worse and I have kids and I took my kids out to dinner and they NEVER were allowed to behave like that. I will definitely go back, however, I will be sure to ask for a table NO WHERE NEAR kids, your restaurant is not exactly for kids but great for adults."

"We have been to the Park West Tavern a few times and we were not disappointed. The food is great and the wait staff is very knowlegable. Many unique menu items, and something for everyone. Best to make reservations. It is always crowded.
By the way, The Park Steakhouse in Park Ridge NJ is their parent establishment holds the same standards with less casual feel."

"Went during restaurant week in Ridgewood...a way I like to sample a new restaurant. Prix-fixe menu looked good:but..... Spinach salad good but no fresh pepper offered;"chicken pot pie" was really creamed chicken with more mushrooms than chicken and "puff pastry" was a mass-produced puff on top of dish, (although mushrooms were good not what I expected);they were out of desert I had ordered and substitute, altho tasty, was much too sweet for me to finish at once...there was no option to take any home (told no containers).No coffee was offered at end of meal. They were quite busy, I was seated promptly by seating person who was pleasant and solicitous, but I would think this would have been anticipated. Not planning to return."

"I have been at Park West Tavern before. This time the food and service was just ok. One of the entrees was so bad the person couldn't even eat it. When asked if we should just order another steak, the comment from the manager was, no go with something else. Our feelings were manger knew not a very good cut of beef and or too many people complained.
Also I would like to know why, when I place reservations through Open Table, at the bottome of the email it says "no points" with this restaurant? I thought if Open Table is offered you get points for booking."
