"Five in our party of six had the prime rib special. It was excellently prepared and attractively served. My wife, however, had the ahi. Althought it was also well prepared, the piece she was served contained a lot of gristle/connective tissue that was inedible. This piece of tuna should never have been prepared as an entree, and that should have been obvious to the chef. When the server cleared our table, she did not inquire about the considerable amount of gristle my wife had pushed off to the side. In my opinion, the restaurant erred twice - once when this piece of tuna was selected for cooking, and once when the amount of gristle on the plate did not raise a question. At $35 a serving, someone should have noticed ..."

"Nice second floor setting in a resort area shopping mall. Tropical setting in keeping with retail clothing store located below. This is a local meeting place judging from the activity and noise level--could be a little too noisy for some.

Our food was delicious and well prepared. Our server was friendly and attentive. Leisurely pace made for an enjoyable evening overall."

"Our party of six had an excellent meal. No adverse comment necessary.
Would like to suggest that younger staff not feel the need to fire off with machine gun rapidity comments on the menu. Dining should in most cases be leisurely and while wait staff might be busy they should not speak so rapidly that it's hard to follow. Not all of us are in our 20's---many are 60+ and a an unrushed address would be appreciated.
I would think it was the purview of management to correctly instruct staff in the manner in which they approach the restaurant's guest for the night. A quick turn over should NOT be the aim of wait staff and guests should feel comfortable relaxing during their dining experience at TB's."

"Food was delicious Mary did an excellent job on serving us. My mojito was spot on from a bartenders point of view. I was disappointed w the host. I had a reservation checked in and I watched 2 people walkin after us and get seated before us. I sat down 8 min after my reservation and was there about 12 min early."

"This turned out to be a non-memorable experience. Two of the party had dinner salads as entrees; 1 had the special entree of the day (excellent); and I had ahi tuna appetizer as an entree (very good). We were greeted with a "You can have this table if you are finished by 7:30."(Reason for overall good.) Not the correct message to customers."

"Been here before many times but this visit the service was poor and the main course sat under the heat lamp for so long the juices were dried on the plate. Service on other occasions during the holiday season has been slow but the server notified us in advance and the food was always very good. Looks like this time the restaurant was not staffed to meet the demand. Would not go here again during busy times."

"Food quality was very good and the portions were very adequate. For a small eater, it was more that I could finish. The menu provided a good selection of fish and meats.

Everyone was in the holiday spirit so it was rather noisy, but it was evident that everyone was enjoying themselves.

Service was good, and food preparation was speedy and timely.

I would go back again, and wish that they would also consider opening for lunch again."

"The food and presentation were excellent. The table was ready when we arrived. The hostess was very friendly while taking us to our table.Melia was our server and she was superb!
