"Great little spot with a fun tapas menu and excellent food.Wine list by the glass was light and I would have liked to see an oakey Chardonnay on the list. Location is not great as there is alot of construction in the area and it's not very easy to find."

"This was a pleasant surprise. The food was outstanding - I enjoy the "small plate concept" The wine I found a little pricey but very good. I will return"

"Went here for winterlicious. The portions are extremely small even for a kids menu. Expected a bit more if not for size than taste and selection. Don't think I'll be going back here again for winterlicious or not."

"Came for a winterlicious dinner, great value for $25. Knowing The Wine Bar typically specializes in small plates, the three course meal was done well. Probably the highlights were the appetizers, since they're closest to the sharing plate size. The chowder looked very good (I didn't have any) and the desserts were fairly good. Good wine service and fair service. A few large groups who seemed well looked after. A good standby in the area."

"This was our first time at Wine Bar and we went for lunch during Winterlicious. Everything was perfect. The food was great (the white truffle macaroni and cheese was phenomenal) and for just $15, it was amazing to have such a great 3-course meal, for such a cheap price. The food was so good that we promptly booked ourselves a reservation for the Valentine's Day 7-course dinner and are really looking forward to going back. My only complaint would be that our server wasn't really friendly. However, this is a spot that I can see my husband and I returning to often, we just loved how great the food was without there being a pretentious atmosphere."

"We discovered this gem due to Winterlicious and will go back any time that we are in Toronto. This service was exceptional, the food was divine, and the bartender was not cheap on the amount of wine he poured. Don't miss out."

"The service was excellent and because we had a fairly large group, the tabla at the back was perfect! The food was fantastic (for Winterlicious) and it was just a great ambience overall."

"Neither of us had visited The Wine Bar before and went for Winterlicious. We were very satisfied with the food quality (couldn't agree which was better - the truffle mac&cheese or chicken on focaccia or beet salad with candied walnuts) and excellent, attentive service. Desserts were out of this world - espresso creme brulee (it coverted a firm non-brulee eater)& a duo of chocolate mousse w/macerated raspberries. We were told that the winterlicious menu is different than the regular tapas menu which changes daily. We can't wait to go back again & this time sit at the bar/kitchen so we can watch the chef prepare the food and enjoy the great view of the walls of wine and interesting pickled food."

"Not a very good selection of Pino Noir, all 3 bottles of affordable Pino's were sold out. At one point our server stood by the chef, at the wine bar, and blew his nose - gross. Also, the server didnt know what cheese was on our cheese tray, he just read them off the menu to us (we could have done that)."
