"I was disappointed with our steaks, I do not believe that they were USDA choice, and in fact our waiter did not say they were as I have heard many time I have when I have been to Ruth's before. I am not sure if it is because it is in Hawaii, and they are limited. It was also very warm in the dining room and there was a comment made by another guest to the staff. The Drinks were every good and the staff was very very good, and would be the only reason I would give this location a return visit if I was in the area. I do a lot of business dinners and Ruth's Chris has always been a known good place to take our guest, I hope this is not the effects of high beef prices."

"My husband and I went to Ruth's Chris Steak House after our wedding in Maui. Our personal waiter, Jared, was very knowledgable, attentive (although not terribly!) and just an excellent waiter The manager, Mike, was the kindest man, and made sure that we were well taken care of.n
I have eaten at, and worked for, some of the greatest restaurants in the world, but this was the best possible service and the most delicious food that anyone could possibly ever desire.
We will definitely be back!"

"Dinner at Ruth's Wailea is always a treat, however we usually go for their Prime Time special and noticed the price keeps going up, and often. It was $39.95 for a long time, then increased to $42.95 and suddenly it's $45.95. Not too happy about that. Also the calamari appetizer we $18, way too expensive. Will consider going again but taking a break for now. The service is excellent."

"Excellent dinner on a busy Easter holiday. Service is always fantastic, rarely have to ask for drink refills or clean flatware. Food is always perfect, fabulous steaks. Steven has been on our waiter on several occasions and he's just wonderful. This is our go-to special occasion restaurant."

"I don't usually comment on dining places, but I have to make an exception here. Located in the "Shop of Wailea" - Ruth's Chris is one of the better steak places on Maui, however, it is 5 Star dining at 5 Star prices. Unfortunately, you won't find too many deals here, but if you buy your Ruth's Chris gift certificates at Costco you can save 20%, in addition, there is a coupon for a free appetizer in "Maui Dining" magazine with the purchase of two entree's ($17.00 value). In summary, make sure you put this place on your dining list - you won't be dissappointed - it will be a great fine dining experience for couples or families.

"The best part was the friendly hostesses. Food was fair, steaks weren't juicy, cheese on the sides were burnt. We sat at a table in the middle of the room when all window tables and both tables were open, many tables were still open when we left. Had to ask for refilled water and bread. Overall a fair experience. I'd recommend a Ruth Chris in Honolulu or Duo at The Four Seasons. Just not an experience I'd like to pay $200+ for again."

"I've been to a few Ruth's Chris restaurants. Minor complaints about this one: Steak came underdone, but since I ordered "medium" expecting "rare", it met my expectations, second, servers, in general, seemed to be less polished and competent, and finally a bottle on the wine list was out. We heard the table next to us order a different bottle -- out of that one, too. This Ruth's Chris should manage their wine list a bit better, so it seems that the priority of the wine served in Wailea is lower than at other Ruth's. Also, the manager came around to see how we were doing, which is nice, but he was dressed so casually that my wife thought he was a random stranger approaching the table. He really should have introduced himself to us."

"I am one of those who really, really likes a rare steak. Hard to get that at Ruth's Chris, because the plates are so hot, they continue to cook the steak while it is coming to the table. The staff was very gracious about redoing it, when I sent the first one back - and the second was just perfect. That makes the last three times this has happened, even with a subtle warning to the waiter when we first ordered. The appetizer, salad, and side were excellent, and the service was, too."
