Papapavlo's Bistro & Bar
Established in 1989, Papapavlo’s began, and still is, a family owned business. The restaurant came into existence with a menu that consisted of our family recipes, originating from our Greek heritage.
Papapavlo's quickly became a popular restaurant and we began to cater, do deliveries & take out.
About 7 years into Papapavlo's existence, we realized that not everyone might enjoy experiencing Greek food, so we expanded our menu to include many other entrees that were not Greek, because we want EVERYONE to enjoy Papapavlo's.
We added fabulous pastas (ex: seafood pasta), fresh entree salads (ex: charbroiled chicken), pizzas (ex: chicken & pesto), fish specials (ex: pistachio crusted salmon). We have an extensive children's menu, as we love when families dine here.
Papapavlo's is locally owned and the owners are involved with all day to day operations. Seeing Papapavlo's flourish and continue as a positive contributor to our community means everything to us.

"2nd it to dine here using up my Costco purchsed gift cards. Both times dining here have been inside where the noise level is so high, I can't hear my spouse speak to me across the table. Flaming cheese appitizer was fun but, waitress with a very unique name forgot our Hummos order. Overall service was good but, would not return unless guaranteed to seat outdoors patio area."

"Food was par at best. The calamari steak appetizer was the best part of the meal. Rack of lamb was good. The seafood pasta was horrible, I've had frozen dinners that were better. Hummus was bland. Wait in between courses took too long. Server was nice and attentive. Overpriced for the quality of food."

"I took my parents here for an anniversary lunch. The service was great and we all enjoyed our meals. The menu is BIG with something for everyone. Our waiter was a doll and took wonderful care of us! Do make a reservation...... The place is BUSY!!"

"I made my reservation on Open Table for 4:45 p.m. When I got there, we realized we would be eating outside in the 90+ degree weather. It was never mentioned through Open Table or when they called to confirm the reservation that we would be outside. My 90 year old grandma, parents, husband and toddler were with me and when I voiced my concern about the heat, the hostess said the tables were "full" and she blamed Open Table for it. She said there are fans in the patio (didn't help) and they would refill my water repeatedly to keep us cool. It was a very uncomfortable, unpleasant meal. When we left, some of the same tables that were unoccupied at 4:45 were still unoccupied at 6:00."

"We had dinner there the other night with a friend who was in Stockton for a brief time. I found Papavalo's on Open Table and made a reservation. We live some distance away so I was totally unfamiliar with Stockton area restaurants. I can't say enough how wonderful our dinner was from the flaming cheese appetizer to the pistachio coated salmon to the baklava cheesecake everything was perfect. Our server Jenny and her assistant met our every request with a smile and both were extremely efficient. We already have plans to return as soon as possible."

"The food and the atmosphere are its strong points. I always recommend starting everything off with the saganaki "flaming cheese." The casseroles are excellent and there are different varieties. If you are not sure which one to get, go for the combination plate. Lastly, the restaurant has a good selection of Greek desserts. I will definitely be coming back."

"We definitely enjoyed everything about the restaurant from the high level of service and the excellent food selection. My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and it was nice that the staff acknowledged our special night. We will definitely be returning and referring other's to enjoy the restaurant as much as we did.Excellent food & fine selection and the entire staff was truly amazing!"

"As always wonderful, tenative wait staff and wonderful gyros salad and gyros pita sandwich. Could use a little more olives, and they have really cut their portion size of gyros on the salad. The gyros pita had plenty gyros on it but not the salad. But overall, the best around."

"My husband and I made reservations for Valentines dinner. We got right in and ate on the patio which I personally like better than the restaurant because there are less people and not as busy. I had resisted going to this restaurant before because I am not really fond of Greek food, but I heard that they also serve steaks and seafood. I ordered a Rib Eye steak with the blue cheese garlic butter and it was wonderful!! I even ate the leftovers cold the next day and it was still great! By far, the best steaks in town!!"

"We had reservations, but waited 20 minutes to be seated, when others who came in after us without reservations were seated inside, we were seated outside on a code night. The waitress came to our table about 3 times during the whole evening, the waitress next to us took better care of us than who was assigned to our table. The area was very cold, although they had heaters, it didn't go any good. The food was overpriced, food was ok, but nothing to note the high prices. I will not go back."
