"Had a great meal. Very busy for a Wednesday night, but it was almost the end of Restaurant week so that could have been it. The main course and dessert were a little slow to arrive, but our group of 6 was having fun talking so it wasn't a major deal. We all got the $52.80 four course meal and it was very good. It was my first time for sushi, so it was fun to do it with family helping me!"

"We were at Japon for 5280 and to celebrate a family birthday. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious and so much I had to take 1/2 home. The waiter was very friendly and compitent. It was busy so we had to wait a bit, but that was understandable and the waiter apologized and gave us extra saki. The bar area was vibrant. The noise level was a bit high, there were 5 of us trying to talk and it was a bit hard to hear one another.

"The 5280 menu was incredible the fish was so fresh and cut quite thick verrrry good. The only draw back was the table are verrry close together so if you are trying to go on a romatic or private date/conversation I would not suggest this place. Otherwise, it's a very cute and fun atmosphere and the food is outstanding."

"It was a good experience. I used to live in neighborhood and went to Japon often. But since moving out of the area, it's easy to forget that it was there. It was great to get re-acquainted with the restaurant. Thank you Restaurant week for giving this opportunity.
By the way, when I checked in at the hostess table. They did not have the reservations. Luckily I did have the computer generated confirmation. I don't think they were able to give me credit for Open Table. They said they would look into it and for me to also mention it to Open Table."

"The sushi was fishy and our server acted as if she was too busy to take care of us. She didn't smile once and didn't check on us once we got our food. Finally, when we ordered the Creme Brulee for dessert, there was no burnt or crispy top. It was all soft custard."

"Nice place to have sushi. The night my wife and I went to dinner it was really buisy and took us about 15 minutes past our reservation to get seated. While we waited we had to listen to the loud bar that meets you in the front. After we got seated, we were quickly taken care of. The diablo roll was excellent and the sushi was also very nice. Had a great dinner and if we want sushi again I will go back."

"We attended via 52.80 and not only did we get plenty of delicious food but plenty of it. The house wine, sauvigon blanc, was recommended and was very goood. We enjoyed the wall that was, basically like an aquariam, without the fish. It was beautiful to watch because it bubbled the entire time. This wall was behind the sushi chefs... we could watch them and the peaceful water works."

"Table seating can be somewhat tight in some areas but the food choices, presentation and value are excellent. Parking can be difficult but valet is available and complimentary. Servers are friendly but when a very busy night, bring your conversation to help fill in the gaps. HIghly recommended as a less expensive sushi experience with no drop in quality."

"Great sushi in a bright and energetic atmosphere. Great for casual group dining or a romantic dinner for two. A staple in the Wash Park neighborhood for the last two decades, there's a reason this place has been going strong for so many years. Do yourself a favor and try the specials from the sushi bar like a plate of sashimi or one of their non-traditional creations."
