"My husband just fell in LOVE with the steak! Never had a better steak before! And the pork chops I ordered were great!! Loved the sauce it came with. Waiter was very energetic and friendly and mood of the restaurant was perfect. It was a great way to celebrate our anniversary! Thank you!"

"First time at this Ruths Chris. Service, food & ambiance was largely what I expected, but I was modestly disappointed in the delay between ordering & receiving food. The server apologized for the delay, but I didn't quite catch what the reason was. Also am pretty sure my fillet was closer to well done than medium, as I had ordered it. It was still quite tasty, but I'd have preferred some pink in the middle. They were kind to give a complimentary strawberry flambé desert to our guest of honor, who would graduate HPU the next evening, as well as a gift card. Overall a very nice experience, with the only exceptions noted above."

My wife and I was celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary and we both were amazed with the service that was provided. From the moment that we had first entered to the end of dinner. Our waiter (forgot his name) took care of our every needs. We have gone to other establishments to celebrate our anniversaries, and this was our first experience at Ruth Chris (won't be our last) and this is hands down the best. The food was "EXCELLENT" from the appetizers (crab cakes) to the Rib-eye steak (cooked to perfection).
I would like to thank the staff at the downtown location mahalo and keep up the GOOD SERVICE.

"My husband took me to Ruth Chris to celebrate my birthday. We've eaten there before and enjoyed the food and wine. My husband likes the selection of wines that they have to offer and the taste with red wine and steak is heavenly. Then with dessert he tops it off with a port wine. The service is excellent and our waitress was informative when it came to the meal selections and the specials of the night. Overall my husband and I enjoyed everything."

"Everything was great. Starting with the ease of making reservations through Open Table. The restaurant called me that morning to confirm the reservation. We were seated promptly and the service was top notch! Our waiter, Chad, was awesome! He was very friendly and attentive. He accommodated my 4-year old with a kid's cup (instead of a heavy glass) which I very much appreciated. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and seasoned just right! And the desserts...OMG! I loved, loved, loved our dinner at Ruth's Chris!"

"We went on Saturday, April 13 at 5 pm and had a wonderful experience at Ruth Chris and as usual the food / drinks was fantastic.
Would like to thank our Waiter, Chad who made our dining experience very memorable - he is a gem and he is part of the reason our dinner was enjoyable. Thank you also to his associates who helped serve the food, etc. Their attention to serving us also added to our great evening.

"I live in Woodland Hills, California and the Ruth Chris doesn't compare. The food wasn't cooked as well the Ruth Chris back home. Meat tough ! The waiter did not make eye contact with us and talked to us looking at us from the side. Just not polished and first rate. We had drinks at the bar before dinner and they were very friendly and nice."

"The hostess in the front was extremely rude as soon as we walked in. It seemed as if the servers and waiter weren't communicating in the beginning and we could sense frustration from one. Our food took a lot longer to come out than we have previously experienced. Overall we were not impressed as we have been every time before."

"The service was excellent. Although the food tasted great, its presentation was very disappointing. I had the filet w/ grilled shrimp sitting on a plain plate. I took a photo of it to post on FB but it lacked color and therefore made my dinner look downright boring! In fact, it really didn't look appetizing at all!
I would recommend this restaurant for its good food but not for anything else . . .like celebrating a special occasion. It lacks ambiance, it was way too dark, and worse, the presentation of the various dishes did not meet my expectations of a fine dining experience."

"We received email asking us to celebrate Valentine's at Ruth's Chris which would be from Monday, February 13- Sunday, February 17 and Valentine's would receive a special gift. We made our reservation for Saturday the 16th, 5PM. We were seated at a table with a speaker right above us and the most annoying, very loud music. Our waiter was very busy, but he did try and turn it down every so often. The food was well prepared. There was no special gift as advertised."

The only dipping sauce was the cocktail sauce with the shrimp. Nothing for the oysters and other shellfish. The steak, while tender, was simply cooked and sitting in a sea of butter. They brought us share plates also coated with a layer of butter. The options for the steak wasn't extensive. They had basic cuts (no kobe at all) and no choice of sauces, except I guess for butter! The side vegetables we got were also mediocre. The corn tasted good because of all the butter. The spinach was very garlicky. This restaurant reminded me of somewhere I'd eat in the 1970's"

"We were there for Valentines Day and it was going really well, the appetizers were wonderful. We ordered the rockafellers and stuffed mushrooms. The ribeye was wonderful, but the crabcakes were a complete dissapointment. It reminded me of a tuna salad, very mushy and tasted more like canned crab rather than fresh crab meat. It really took a tow and made the night one that we weren't really keen to want to remember."

Food was served flaming HOT and delicious. Can't think of anything bad to say except that they put us right by the door to the outside at 5:15pm so the sun kept shining in my face everytime they opened the door...that table might be better to seat the 6:30 guests since the sun would be down by then."
