"been coming to prime for 14 years.. we try to save it for some kind of special occasion so usually when we're there we're celebrating some kind of life event. they never let us down. great steaks, the sushi is good the service is always on point and the consistency is key."

"Went for my partner's 37th Birthday. We were greeted by the hostess who immediately said Happy Birthday! Our server was very good and knowledgeable of the menu. I would recommend against ordering the lobster bisque...while it had GREAT flavor, it just seemed a little overpriced at $9 for an incredibly meager portion. We ordered the crab-stuffed lobster tail and the braised short ribs and both were fantastic! Our waiter surprised my partner with a birthday dessert that was very tasty but then lost its luster when I received the bill and found out that I actually had to pay for it and it wasn't on the house when I never asked for the dessert. This is something I didn't fuss about but just thought it to be kinda tacky. I would recommend a try!"

"I have dined at Prime many times and have always found it to be a very pleasant event. The food is great -- with very clever adaptations of sometimes ordinary things, such as grits. The sushi and sashimi are top of the line, and the steaks are as good as any in Atlanta. My only mild complaint is that, at times, the noise levels can be too high."

"Love to bring groups here because the menu is broad. Everyone can find something they really enjoy. I find myself coming here every time I crave sea bass. No one makes it like Prime. This is a great location for special occasions. They bring out a dessert plate with "Congratulations" written in chocolate. Celebrate promotions, anniversaries, birthdays, etc. One down side is that it is in the Lenox Mall and the front entrance is under construction."

"I frequently have lunch at Prime and always enjoy the experience. The food is normally very good (their salmon and sauteed spinach are always delicious); however, I decided to venture out and have something different and ordered the specialty sushi. Unfortunately, this particular day, the sushi wasn't as good as it is normally. I shared with a friend, and they agreed. I still recommend Prime and will definitely go again (and again), but I will likely avoid the sushi, or at least avoid any specialty sushi."

"Me and my family went here for Mother's Day. We arrived right at the start of dinner service so while it was relatively empty at first, it filled up within an hour. Even so, our server (Todd) remained extremely attentive to our table. Even when the sun was shining to brightly on our direction, he ask for our window's curtains to be clipped. The food was delicious, the servings were generous (everyone at the table took something home), and the pricing was more than reasonable given the quality of the meal. Overall, it was a very enjoyable dining experience. I would go again."

"I selected Prime based on numerous on-line reviews for our special dinner (party of 6). We selected a broad range of entrees, all of which were quite good. And our server was attentive, but not over-bearing. So, from a 'pure food' perspective, the meal was a success.
However, we weren't fans of Prime's location - essentially connected to and (depending on where you were seated) IN the mall. In addition, the room's acoustics result in a fairly loud dining experience - not at all what we expected based on the on-line food reviews and, quite frankly, moderate-to-high menu prices. Prime might be a terrific dining option for those already in the mall, but from an 'outside' perspective, there are many better options."

"Our group of 4 came to Prime to celebrate a wedding anniversary. The drinks and food were great. Service was a bit slow as one persons dinner did not come out until almost everyone else at the table was done with their food. The location is in the mall but it is at the end so you really do not have to go to far into the mall to get to it. It is a nice restaurant but be prepared to be seated next to people who just came from shopping that may be in regular clothes and shopping bags."

"Great steaks! I came in thinking that the 1/2 price steaks would be average, but when I asked the server if they served different steaks after the special they said they were the same. I have been one before and had the NY Strip. It was the same steak. Best strip in town. The truffled cream corn, wow! Cottage fries with Bernaise OMG. The calories were worth the trip. I'm hooked. Ask for Steve, you won't be disappointed."

"I wasn't really impressed by Prime.I didn't realize that the restaurant was located in the mall until we go there. I should have looked at the map more closely. A mall restaurant wasn't very appealing and the view was of the parking lot. My boyfriend enjoyed the oysters, but his steak wasn't anything special. And when you spend $50 for the steak plus the oscar you want it to taste great! We were also a little rushed through dinner. We wanted to enjoy our time, but we were constantly eating and out the door in an hour. It was nice that they brought out a birthday cake for my boyfriend. It was quite delicious too. I wouldn't go back, but I wouldn't tell people to avoid it."

"We picked this restaurant for Saturday night dinner because of location and reviews -- had family in staying at the Ritz across the street. We sat at a big table within the mall which was fine because we had an energetic 2 year old and a fussy infant. Where Prime fell short was the service. We had to ask for napkins, had to ask for enough silverware, had to ask to have specials repeated twice, then when the waitress moved to our end of the table, we had to ask again for specials. The food was okay -- veggies were delicious but steak was just there which was surprising because there are tons of steakhouses in that area to compete with and this is no competition. Next time we're in this situation, in this area, we'll hit another place."

"While Prime is usually right on point, and the service is usually impeccable, tonight an apparently new waitress with a serious attitude knew just how to spoil a perfectly great meal. She was brusk right from the start, acting as though she were doing us a favor to serve us. The check was literally "thrown" onto the table..the water remained empty most of the evening...and she MIA throughout most of the meal, not bothering to check on our table. When she did check on us, her curt manner was apparent to all. I am unaccustomed to this kind of service and attitude at a place that usually excels in service and has generally has wonderful food. I hope Prime will rectify the problem."

"A group of friends have dined at Prime several times and always found it to be an outstanding meal for a bargain of a price. We arrive early enough for the half price steaks md always take the filet mignon. It's absolutely delicious! Cooked to perfection, a nice thick piece and very juicy. "Surprisingly good (but not very good), high-end restaurant available to shoppers and others at Lenox Square. Food and service are mediocre for the price range, except for prime filet steaks (hence the name). Prime steaks come from excellent meat but are blandly prepared under the broiler--the ones from my wife's kitchen are tastier. Servers make an effort but are not adequately trained. Very easy to get a last-second reservation at prime-time on a Friday night (main reason we ever eat there). If not for the captive traffic of Lenox, Prime would quickly fold. In need of new management."

"The server was nice. The sashimi which my husband had on a previous visit was not as good as the first time he came with a group of coworkers. The other sushi roll he ordered was good though. I had the special which consisted of a mix of veggies, scallops, and pan roasted monk fish. The monk fish seemed a little tough, but I'm not sure if that's the texture it should have or not since it was my first time trying it. The scallops were delicious and perfectly cooked, as were the assorted veggies. It ended on a high note when, to celebrate my husband's birthday, and our wedding anniversary, Todd (our server) presented us with two cheesecake desserts with Happy Birthday & Happy Anniversary on the plate. All in all, it was a good experience."

"The food there is outstanding and the staff and management goes the extra mile for your comfort and to give you the best dining experience. Their prices are reasonable and the menu variety makes true "foodies" bubble with joy. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, even Heads of State."

"Had a reservation at Modern restaurant for a birthday celebration and the restaurant called and left a message that they were closing and had to cancel our reservation 6 hours before. I called to find out what happened but no one would return my calls so we needed to relocate on short notice. We were able to get in at Prime and the meal was excellent. They even brought us a free desert for the Birthday Girl. The steaks here are really delicious and so are the cheese grits. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxing. I will be returning to Prime but not to Modern."

"I went with a friend for Buckhead Restaurant Week. We both enjoyed our selections. I had the salmon with cheese grits and sweet chili spinach. It was DELICIOUS!! The salmon was perfectly cooked. The grits were cheesy and creamy. The spinach was excellent with the sweet chili cooked in it. Our waiter was quite attentive and helpful with suggestions. I will definitely be back"

"I visited for Buckhead Restaurant Week and also arrived before 6pm for the half off steak. My server was lacked manners, was cold and rude. He int tell us of the specials and walked away before a guest could put a wine order in. And to top it off, he gave us the same order as my friend clearly ordered the 12oz NY Strip. Instead he gave him the cut up restaurant week special menu item. And to too it off, my bill was charged twice because he got my bill an another African-American bill mixed up. I will not try Prime again . I hope that my Visa returns accurate. Oh and don't ask to substitute a dessert on the restaurant week menu - he will become angry."

"I love this restaurant! I came here a few months ago for a birthday and had the salmon and orka fries! Perfectly cooked! Yesterday I took my friends there to experience the good food. They loved it also. Friendly staff member April overheard us say that we were very hungry and made sure our salads and appetizers came out back to back but let our dinner come as normal! Please go but set a reservation. They stay busy!!!"
