"I've celebrated 2 out of my last 3 birthdays at The Twisted Fork. Both times, we were seated at one of their small outdoor patios. The noise level was minimal and the service and food were great. Their selection of locally brewed beers on tap is outstanding."

"My husband and I went out an a date...the food was good. We had to ask our server for bread, not due since it was our first time if you should get it automatically. But there were bread plates. The bread was just ok but the meal was very good. I had the chop steak. My hubby had ribeye, portion needs to be larger. Save room for dessert. I would like to try it for brunch, seems like that is their prime time."

"The waiter noticed and respected our private conversation and timed himself appropriately with checking in on us, and served us with few interruptions. I had the blackened Tilapia, browned. moist and flavorful, with black beans/corn and a side of rice which are favorites of mine. My guest had a ribeye with grits, and absolutely loved them both. I must admit I tasted the grits, and they were the best I've ever had! For dessert I had Creme brule which was smooth, creamy, tasted of fresh vanilla and had a perfect sugar glaze. I was so engrossed in my dessert, I didn't even notice what my guest had, only that it was devoured and left a smiling face. The special that Monday was $20 for an entree, salad bar and dessert per person."

"When reservation was made, it was not specified that it was brunch buffet only. We expected to be able to order off menu as well as buffet option. Food was just okay...grits were very clumpy, gravy and biscuit was cold and price for buffet was too high for what was offered and price was not given at time of reservation nor at the time of sitting. No personal touch from server just dropping off plates and re-filling drink glasses. I usually enjoy Twisted Fork but will not go back for the brunch and especially on Mother's Day."

"We were happy to get a reservation on Mother's Day, and then found out why there were tables available. They were having a brunch buffet, but we did not find out until we were seated that there were no other options, no menu, just the buffet. The price was also completely unadvertised. It turned out to be $26 per person. This is not an abnormal price for brunch, but I would have thought the food would be more high-end, or at least better, for that money. It was mostly cheap items except for crab cakes which were just okay and roast beef that the table knives could not cut. Nothing stood out. The website advertised $3 bloody marys and mimosas, for which we were charged $6 apiece and waited entirely too long for. Won't be going back."

"Twisted Fork has been one of our favorites. I scheduled reservations for us for Mother's Day thinking it would be a treat for my wife. I was not aware that the service was going to be buffet only, as we have our favorites on their regular menu. We were not offered menus, just given plates. The breakfast food on the buffet was good, however, the lunch food was terrible. Most food that I got was cold or lukewarm at best. Given the price for the buffet, I expected better. Actually, if I had known the full price before going in, we would have gone somewhere else.
I do not intend to try their buffet again, but will give the restaurant one more chance."

"......no carving station. For the price, there should have been a carving station. We've gone to the Twisted Fork for the last few Mother's Day brunches, and this year they extended the buffet quite a bit. Although they had more items, I don't think the elevated price was worth it. For $25 a person, they should at least have a carving station. Sliced roast beef, sitting in a chafing dish.....not so appetizing. The chafing dish marked "Shrimp Creole" contained gravy and vegetables but no shrimp. Also, there were not enough dessert choices, and not one chocolate item (isn't a chocolate dessert a staple in a dessert buffet?). Our party of six was disappointed. Not sure we'll be going back there for a buffet service."

"We tried the Twisted Fork for Easter Brunch. They were a little slow out of the gate but redeemed themselves very quickly. Mostly with the waiter he was excellent. Buffet was organized and everything I had was delicious. I would go again, accept I might move my brunch time back a bit to 12:30. The 11:00/11:45 time slot was pretty busy. If you can be patient then the earlier time is fine."

"I've been to the Twisted Fork a number of times and have enjoyed it every time. We went to brunch on Easter Sunda and the food was delicious as usual. Because it was Easter Sunday though...the restaurant was extremely busy. The buffet areas was very very crowded and the servers were constantly cutting through the line to get to theirtables and the kitchen. Maybe a rework of the design for the buffet would be good to avoid that. Food was very good!"

"We went to the Twisted Fork for the Easter Sunday brunch. It was extremely crowded. The food was very good, the service was OK (I think the staff was sort of overwhelmed by the crowds), and the actual set up of the buffet tables was very awkward and inefficient. The restaurant is a multi-level place with stairs and a ramp between each level. The buffet was set up on the bottom level mainly as one long set-up. So, customers waited in line for some 10 minutes to get to the beginning of the buffet then moved through the whole thing. I'd have set it up in sections, but since they do this every Sunday, no one must complain! We'd go back... just not on a holiday!"

"Loved it. It was my birthday so I wanted my husband to take me to some place we hadn't been. We will definitely be back! Loved the salad bar. My only suggestion is that you should consider offering half portions on your entrees. I ordered the pork medallions. I got 2 huge portions of pork. I could hardly eat the first piece. Thank you for a wonderful birthday dinner!"

"Service was poor. Food took over 30 minutes to come out. I had to ask for bread to be brought out. Kids got dessert, and since the waitress had to get that, she grabbed a bowl for herself, and went around the corner to eat it, neglecting other patrons. Empty plates left on the table...where were the bussers.
Registered on Open Table that I was celebrating my birthday. What was the point of telling them that before hand. No wishes at the front desk. No acknowledgement from the waitress.

"I enjoy dining at Twisted Fork. Although this visit wasn't the best experience I've had, it was still okay. There were no extras or any perks to make it special. Typically, the restaurant offers bread or other nibble while waiting, but not this time. This "just okay" visit won't keep me from returning, but I might consider other restaurants first for my next dining experience. And, for a Friday night, it was not very busy."

"Me and my fiancée had an amazing valentines dinner. Neither of us had ever been or heard of the twisted fork. I didn't tell her where we were going that evening. The smile that lit up her face when we arrived and the fact that she stayed amazed the entire night made my evening perfect! The service was phenomenal! Our waiter had an extensive knowledge of every meal and drinks. He was an extreme help to the choices we made that evening. Our experience there has to be, by far, the best we've had anywhere. It has become our favorite restaurant and we plan on visiting much more in the future. Keep up the great work guys!!!"

"We had a reservation for Valentine's day and we were seated right away. We decided against the prix fixe menu and went with some comfort food instead. The lobster mac and cheese was amazing. Also, they have a great selection of locally brewed beers. We love the Twisted Fork, we come often for special occasions or if we have friends coming from out of town, and we will keep coming back. Keep up the good work."

"This was our first time at this restaurant and if our food and service are typical, this is a great find. Our waiter was excellent. He took time to answer our questions about the menu and made suggestions about what we might like. We had been to Tribeca Tavern a few days before and several items on the menu looked like Tribeca's. Apparently there is some relationship there. The blackened tilapia was delicious and it made the drive from Cary to Triangle Town Center worthwhile. The tomato bisque soup was good but not outstanding. Overall, the experience was very good and we will definitely go back. I want to try the salmon next time. It sounds great!"

--Bread no longer brought to the table. The new secret is that you can get break if you know to ask for it.
--Menu does not match the menu on their www.
--Potentially good dishes are jazzed up with accessories sot he dishes are no longer good. For example, their formerly simple and good Grilled Salmon is now BBQ Grilled Salmon. Their formerly good classic Shrimp and Grits is now shrimp warped in bacon along with the grits.
--Order Risotto and Shrimp but did not welcome the game of trying to find a few shrimp in a lot of Risotto.
--Excellent service.

"Our first visit to this restaurant; won't go again. Arrived at 6:30p.m. Made a reservation and was seated by kitchen, next to a party of 22 - 1/2 of which was children under 10. There were plenty of emplty tables in the room. Had a trainee waitress, which is not a problem, but neither she nor regular staff person was knowledgeabl. Salad bar greens were limp, mixed salad items were dried over and potato salad had turned a grayish color. Ordered the creamy tomato soup with my salad. The liquid smoke was so strong, one could not even tell it was tomato soup. I was given alternate of crab/corn chowder; boy, was it salty and one would have to have a magnifying glass to find the crab lightly sprinkled on top. Drinks were terrible."

"Noise level was fine - couldn't hear one table's conversation more loud than another's. Our waiter, Chris, provided the worst dining experience which we will never return to. He messed up drink orders, forgot food, and surely showed no care for our table. He gave off a rude vibe, almost as though he did not like us and we were an annoyance to him. The food was average; nothing I would go out of my way to obtain, nor would it be my first choice if I was in the area."
