"We ordered the porterhouse for 3, medium rare. It was juicy and tender and absolutely wonderful. For sides we got the creamed spinach, german potatoes and sauteed onions. All 3 paired very well with the steak. I've been to Wolfgang's at other locations and I have never been disappointed."

"Wolfgang's in Tribeca gets my vote as the best of the four Wolfgang's in Manhattan and the best steakhouse I've been to. The quality of the side dishes, the savor of the steaks -- even the quality of the martinis -- beats all rivals (and I've tried a lot of them). Prices aren't cheap, and food arrives so quickly that dinner won't fill your evening. But such glorious dining!"

"I have eaten at Wolgang's and Peter Luger's on multiple occasions. If you want a nicer looking restaurant, with better service and excellent food, Wolfgang's is the place. If you want a tourist attraction and want to brag to your friends where you ate, I suppose Peter Lugers is better."

"I'm a serious steak eater and I loved going to Peter Luger's for years. Once I found out about Wolfgang's I switched and have yet to go back. They serve the best porterhouse in New York and they do it with class and sophistication just like steak should be served. It's the same meat you get at Luger's, but with table clothes, no attitude when you ask for a menu, and you can even use your credit card. I go to the Tribeca location when with family or any group which requires a little less noise but when out with the guys and men want to act like men, the original location on 33rd street is classic. Can't wait to come back soon."

"Best steak I can remember. We had steak for four and it was perfect--cooked exactly how we asked, tender, juicy, full of flavor, no gristle--I can't say enough about how good this steak was. We also had the bacon appetizer, that was surprisingly delicious and I recommend it for sharing. The desserts were fine, nothing to comment on. Wolfgang's is worth it, but it is expensive."

"My steak was medium rare in the center, but it was semi-charred on the outside. Some people like it that way; I do not. Also, and this is a little weird, all of the steak knives were dull. I asked our waiter about it, and he said that someone had tried to sharpen the serrated steak knives and had ruined them. That makes sense, but why wouldn't they get new knives. It was definitely odd to be eat a $50 steak with what was essentially a butter knife. I wouldn't go back."

"If you love the food at Peter Luger in Williamsburg, but hate the ambiance and unfriendly staff, then this is the place for you. Food is top notch and on par with Luger. I have been to Luger many times and can definitely say the food is a match. The only unfortunate part is that it's a match on the price as well. But then again....food is fantastic."

The cuts are first quality, the sides are delicious and after dozens and dozens of meals, I have never had anything less than a first rate meal. "Excellent , If the plate could sizzle like that steak house in Brooklyn I would of given it 5 stars . Brought my business customer from out of town and of course the four of us had the Porter House ( impressed by Steak) and one had the Seabase (he stated it was exceptional ) . You cannot go wrong , the waiter was attentive perfect , and never hovering, which does bother me at some restaurants at this level ."

We celebrated my mother's birthday (surprised one) and I requested for the candles for dessert when I booked this restaurant.
They did it beautifully with cheerful BD song!

"Me and my wife went to Wolfgang's Tribeca recently and although we showed up a little early, the hostess had a big smile and welcomed us to the restaurant and sat us immediately. The wine list is extensive, the food is amazing. Get the porterhouse for 2, you can't go wrong. The side dishes are terrific as well, especially the sauteed spinach! Finally the wait staff were friendly and checked up on us frequently without being intrusive. Will definitely be going back."

"Everything we ordered was extraordinarily good. Highly recommend the Thick cut canadian bacon and the crab cake appetizers. We enjoyed the porterhouse for two and creamed spinach for our main course. Our server was helpful in recommending dishes and the wine selection. The noise level did increase with a table of rowdy finance guys but overall a very good experience - we'll definitely be back."

"We were greeted immediately by the hostess and sat even though we had arrived early. We ordered drinks and they were promptly served. Wine selection was decent. We had a table towards the back and it was quiet and cozy. Our order was take. By a friendly yet extremely professional waiter. He seemed to always be around just when we needed something. Excellent service! We ordered the rib eye steak and baked potato and broccoli. House salad to start. Salad was very fresh greens with a tasty tomato tossed in a light vinegrette. Lovely. Our steak was superb (as always) . Herb encrusted on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. And incredibly huge! We ate a 1/3 and took the rest home. The rolls could have been warm when served though."
