"Beautiful space and atmosphere, good service, excellent appetizers and interesting drinks - love the champagne cart! Some mains a bit dull - small piece of salmon on a small plate with a few pieces of asparagus....doesn't look elegant, looks like a lack of effort, but other food delicious and clever - crab bites, escargot, croque madame. Overall it is just great. We visit every time we are in Chicago and enjoy soaking up the vibe of the place."

"The food was delicious, the mixed drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere was upscale yet comfortable, but what blew me away about Paris Club was the staff. I made dinner reservations for myself and three of my friends for my birthday, and we started with drinks and appetizers. Our entrees hadn't come out for about 40 minutes after we had ordered them, so I asked the waitress if she wouldn't mind double checking to make sure our food had been ordered. I wasn't in a rush or angry or even annoyed (my friends and I were enjoying good conversation), but our waitress was very apologetic, reassured us our food had been ordered, then had the manager come speak to us. Paris Club did everything right to ensure that we had an enjoyable experience."

"We arrived on time but had to wait over 30 minutes for our reservation, but in spite of that, we left with smiles on our faces!
It was crowded and pretty loud on a Friday night, which was to be expected, and although the hostesses were poilte, we were pretty peeved by the time we finally sat down. Manager Torie more than made up for it with some yummy complimentary appetizers and very gracious apologies. We stuck to appetizers and dessert, and although everything was tasty, the standouts were definitely the lobster crostini and the mussels. Paris Club was not a Top 10 Ever dining experience, but definitely a good place to go when you want someplace fun, with nightlife, good people-watching and good food at not-too expensive prices!"

"Took two of my best friends for graduation + noted so in the OpenTable reservation & they started our evening with an appetizer on the house. Really great gesture to begin the night. We went on Friday so it was very busy + thriving, which was a great atmosphere. The beet salad, macaroni, and lobster crostini were amazing! Wasn't all that impressed with the short rib dish. I would return to try other items on the menu, however."

"I love lemon and have eaten many Lemon Tarts in my lifetime! The Lemon Tart at Paris Cafe is the best I have ever eaten; the taste is tart, not too sweet and very lemony! The very BEST. My server was delightful and the service was excellent and my dinner was delicious too."

"Bar scene is young and crowded - everyone having a great time. The menu is creative and very french bistro. I had the pate which came with big slices of crusty bread and two dijon mustards and pickles - yum. The short rib entre is a big block of short rib meat with al dente vegetables - sauce is tasty and not too salty like some other restaurants serve. Save room for dessert - lots of options and all big enough to share."

"This place looks impressive when you walk in. We came a bit early (7:00 or so on a Friday) and the noise level was just fine. By the time we left, though, it was almost too loud to hear across the table. The waitress was polite and knowledgeable. She did, however, end up naming off the entire menu when making recommendations (not much of a help there). The pretzel croissant appetizer sounded really cool but ended up being... a croissant. Maybe it was made out of pretzel dough. Whatever. I seriously can't remember what we ordered for the entrees. The timing was all off - the drinks came quick and then a long wait for the appetizer. Entrees came out right on the heels of the appetizer so we felt rushed. Lemon dessert was excellent."

"Disappointed. Bread was not offered before the meal. I had a late lunch so I only ordered a crab leg appetizer and a salad. I did not receive any utensils to help me crack or get the meat out of the crab legs. Our server said the kitchen prepared them so you could easily pull the crab meat out. It was not the case, so I had to work with my serving fork and knife because our server was nowhere to be found and we had to make a play."

"Here's the bad thing. We had a reservation, dining room not crowded. With my daughter for a girls' weekend of fun, dining, theater and shopping before her upcoming wedding. We were seated at a dark table, next to the kitchen. I mean, practically in the hallway. We were dressed very nicely, and we are nice loking people. But I think a mother and daughter got shoved to a lousy table. Not cool. Food was great, but we were made to feel uncomfortable. Server fawning over table next to us, two women and one man, ordering lobster cocktails. Bar was hopping as we left, and we would have stayed for an after dinner drink, but we did not feel welcome."

"Claims to be an American take on a classic French bistro and this is an accurate statement. As someone who spent 3 years in Paris I am a fair judge! Dishes were perhaps less rich (read:drowned in butter) than you would get in Paris but still had flavour. Wine list was a nice balance of old and new world plus a range of price points. We were an early Tuesday dinner seating but the place was loud and vibrant and full of people. I've heard it's well-known for the Bar/Club side of the business so will have to go back and see for myself!"

"We hit up Paris Club for a late dinner after seeing Book of Mormon.
It was a little louder than I expected when we first went in but found it fine to talk casually once we were seated in the dining area. Manhattan's were top notch (exceptional cherry selection), oysters were good, and we were all insisting our main courses were better than each others.
Our server was beyond exceptional. She answered every question about the food with precise knowledge and passion, she was accurate in everything she said and was very straight forward about what the best items were (my girlfriend can never make up her mind). She appeared every time we had a question or needed another round but never seemed to hover or interrupt us mid sentence. A+."

"This was our first time at Paris Club. We were early, 5:30 attending after a play on Saturday so the wait staff had plenty of time to take care of us but they did a great job. The manager Josh came to our table and when learned we were celebrating our 35th anniversary promptly brought over glasses of champagne for us and added an appetizer on the house at his request. Good food, nice place and good service, we will return.

"So glad to find a gluten free menu at an excellent restaurant. We arrived for an early after work dinner (5:45) and ate in the beautiful, sleek, dimly lit bar area. Baked brie, salad, potatoes, fish and custard were excellent. Everything is a la carte. My husband and I shared 1 of each and it was just the right amount of food."

"Food was over salted, a common mistake by chef's who want to enhance the flavor, so they way over do it on the salt. We are not on a sodium restricted diet, but you over did it and if you can taste the salt then you way over did it.
Service was good, but clearly rushed because we had an early reservation and the wait staff was overly eager to turn the table.
Bar staff (had a drink before the meal) was outstanding!"

"The Plat du Jour of lobster frites was very disappointing. The lobster wasn't at all sweet, had almost no taste. The food was overpriced, especially given the quality. We had a reservation for 5:30 on a Tuesday and the dining room was almost empty when we arrived (not surprising, given the hour and the day of week). So I found it very surprising and extremeley annoying when the table we were shown to was in the middle of the room (rather than along the wall where there was more privacy) and was very close to the service station and a door to the back kitchen(where there's of course more traffic and noise). We asked for, and were given, another table along the wall, but that set the stage for low expectations. Which were met."

"This restaurant was a huge disappointment. The noise was unbearable and we were sitting in a front area near a window away from the main room. It was so loud we had to shout to hear each other. I've been to Paris and this restaurant in no way resembles a French bistro. I ordered grilled herb chicken that was nothing more than a pounded down chicken breast like I could get at any American family restaurant. It had no flavor. The Nutella crepes dessert was not memorable. The waitress was disinterested. We ate at 9:00, so she had been working for a few hours, but on a Sat. night she'd get a better tip with more attention. Overall, the experience wasn't worth the expense or the time. I'll never go back there or recommend it to anyone else"

"Overall the restaurant experience was great but don't expect the same service at the lounge. Was told we were on the lounge list, turned out our names never made it on there even though I had called to confirm. Lounge manager keeps you waiting even though it's no where near busy. Somewhat disappointing experience after spending $800 between bar and dinner with a group of 4 and can't get into lounge for few drink (perhaps a bottle service) if we would have gotten in and would have been happy to pay the cover."

"Great food and service. We were greeted with a free appetizer as we had been dining there many a time and that set the stage for an excellent meal. Skatewing excellent as usual and the salmon was great. The lemon tart was sublime. Thanks for a great dinner to end a hectic week."

"We were happy not to be seated in the front room, near the bar, which was extremely noisy--both music and people. We did notice that the high tables there were mostly filled with people considerably younger than we are. The rest of the restaurant was not so loud, but, at least where our table for 2 was, against a wall, the tables were VERY close together. When the table next to ours was seated, we could hear every word, and could have easily joined in their conversation. Some of the larger tables away from the walls seemed to have more room around them, but our section would have benefited from at least 1 less table. That said, the food was really good, and our waitress was excellent."

"I had been to Paris Club once previously for a business function/dinner, so this was the first time in the spacious dining room. Our reservations were fairly early, but there were mostly groups of 4 or larger already seated and arriving as we dined. Our server, I believe Rebecca, was attentive, helpful, and there when we needed. The wild boar Monday night special was outstanding. We will definately be back."

"The last time I went to Paris club is was French small plates. It has changed formats to a regular french restaurant, odd since Lettuce Entertain You already has Mon Ami Gabi. The lobster crustini was fantastic. I also had the Steak Frites, which wasn't as good as Mon Ami. My husband had the Pork Shank which was pretty good. The wine list is pretty expensive as well.
It's good, but I believe Mon Ami is better."
