"The food is absolutely delicious and the service impeccable. I like to take my favorite clients here. The owner is always there to greet the patrons and make sure they have an outstanding experience. This is my favorite restaurant in Sonoma!!!"

"Although the food is outstanding and the host is very warm and friendly, I won't be returning to Cafe LeHaye. The portions I felt for the price were exceptionally small (1 day boat scallop + 1 ravioli for I believe $9). With an appetizer and entree, I left feeling unsatisfied. If the restaurant serves reasonable portions for the same price, I would return in a heart beat."

"Had visitors in town who were celebrating a birthday, this restaurant was recommended by a local for a good place to go for a special occasion. And, that it was! We all ordered something different, from quail, filet, sole and pork chops. All of the meals were exquisite...wonderful flavors and just the right portions. Made a reservation (only 3 days in advance)...and when we arrived, we were immediately seated at our table...did not have to wait. Great service...very attentive. Would definitely go back to this restaurant again and recommend it to others."

"We had a wonderful dinner at Cafe La Haye. The wine list was great and the food was impeccable. We started with the strawberry & arugula salad and a bottle of Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc. We followed that with the Daily Roasted Chicken entree and finished with the chocolate silk cake. Everything was divine. The atmosphere was quaint and the service was fantastic. The place is small so reservations are a must."

"We discovered this restaurant in Sonoma and are very pleased with our dining experience. The food and service at Cafe La Haye was excellent. We like the tasteful décor, simple but clean and elegant. The owner made us feel very welcome and the staff provided attentive service.
The food was fresh and deliciously prepared!! The portion was generous so three of us shared 3 appetizers and 2 main dishes. The special dish was the stuffed quail. It was tender and tasty, strongly recommended. The salmon was fresh and scrumptious. If you like top notch quality service and delicious food at a reasonable price, this is the place!!!"

"Thumbs up for Cafe La Haye in downtown Sonoma. I loved its specialness, warmth and great clean food. The evening was perfect from the moment we entered the door to the last bite. The decor was a cross between being in an art gallery and someone's home. The staff was attentive, the restaurant had a feeling of intimacy, good portions, affordable, nice local wine list, and our evening had a wonderful rhythm to it. Can't wait to return."

"Our party of four dined for dinner. First courses were Pasta Fagioli with Ham Hocks, Old School Shrimp Cakes. Both excellent. Entrees consisted of Pan Seared Salomon with porcini broth, special of quail with stuffing.Both excellent. Two of our party had the roasted chicken with ricotta gnochi. Chicken was moist, but nothing special. Gnochi was bland; otherwise a higher food rating. Deserts were delicious and for a small intimate restaurant a good wine list with special vintages that are hard to find."

But make sure you save room for dessert...that butterscotch pudding was incredible.

"I brought my wife there for her 45th birthday. Saul and his team did an amazing job coordinating flowers to be on the table upon arrival and making us feel very special. Couldn't reccomend cafe la haye higher"

"After an impromptu conversation with a guest at our hotel, we visited Cafe Le Haye......it was as described and more!!!!!! Contemporary and quaint, all at the same time. The food, service and ambience totally exceeded our expectations. The attention paid to our special request was impressive. We will be back for sure......"

"Enjoyed our dinner...I had the soup and the pasta dish both were very good. My wife had the romain salad with croutons and avacados but the avacados never made it to the plate. She also had the hanger steak with the balsamic reduction. Flavor was very nice, the meat was a bit tough should have served it with medallions of beef instead. overall presentation was very nice. Wine was a bit on the pricy side."

"The food was very good. They have a limited menu and didn't seem open to substitutions. The service was personable and attentive. Only issue I had was that they asked me about the wine I ordered and I let the server know it wasn't great with the food and it was 3/4 full. She just smiled and nodded with no other offers. The art work and walls could use some redecorating. Definitely worth the food."
