"always incredible food. The shrimp and prawn salad and the tomato caprese salad are fantastic. The French Dip is more like Chicago Beef but it is GREAT"

"This was my first time at Quinn's Lighthouse. We were celebrating a coworker's birthday and it was his suggestion. We had lunch in the pub. I liked the ambience. I love the idea of eating the peanuts and tossing the shells on the floor! Well, we quickly ran out of peanuts. The service was terrible! Our waiter must have taken a break and didn't have a backup. We had to ask other busy wait staff for everything (including set ups after our food came, and refills of drinks). Even though we were celebrating a birthday, we weren't offered dessert. The poor service was very upsetting! The food was wonderful! Everyone enjoyed their choices. So, I will try again and hope the service is better."

"Went here for Mother's Day, my wife ordered an Arnold Parmer which tasted like it only had tea only. Our waiter didn't seem to agree because he had made it personally himself. So she ordered a sprite, he returned with 2 sprites one for her and one for me. I was drinking Coke. The waiter at the other table made them aware of todays specials. Our waiter never acknowleged our thank you's or mentioned any specials. My wifes food was ok but my omlete advertised shrimp, chicken and sausage. I received 2 small shrimp,1 small chunck of chicken and sausage. I also found mixed in my red potatoes a sku# lable from a local farmer. I didn't mention this to our waiter because he was already upset about the Arnold Palmer situation. I won't be back."

"Only two out of four meals were acceptably edible tonight. My Mom's chicken parmesan plate was totally unappetizing...dry, bare pasta?!!! My Dad's seafood Newburg was too salty. He has been talkiing about how much he would love to find a restaurant that serves itt again, 'cause you just can't find it offered any more So I brought him here specifically because I know that Quinn's has it on the menu. He got all happily excited when he read it and exclaimed, "I know what I'm having!" Needless to say, he was disappointed. Worst of all, it was his birthday. With Mom not eating her dinner at all, and Dad no longer excited about his, you can imagine it was not a Happy Birthday."

"I came here with 3 other women for Mother's Day. We got a table right by the window and were very pleased. Our food arrived promptly & hot, despite it being busy. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was pleasant, and everyone had a lovely time! I order the half-bucket of mussels New England-style every time I come, and once again, I was not disappointed. Overall, it was a very nice experience."

"We went here for my mother's 70th birthday. Three adults and one child. The menu was varied and offered plenty of choices. They also had a good selection of specials. We all enjoyed our food very much. My wife thought her fish and chips could have been better. The fish was just a little chewy, though her chips were delicious."

"We were visiting from out of town and wanted to find somewhere to take my sister-in-law for her birthday. What a great find! Ambience at sunset was delightful and all five entrees were delicious. Our waiter noticed us giving cards and brought a hefty piece of delicious cake with birthday candle at the end of the meal. We will go back next visit and suspect our relatives will now have a new go-to spot for family gatherings."

"Quinn's Lighthouse and Pub was a great place to eat. Although my group was running late for our reservation, the host was very understanding and kind. We were immediately seated. Our waiter, James, was the best! He was efficient and awesome! This is a great place to eat and enjoy!"

"I was impressed by the variety in the menu, we all had a hard time deciding what to order, and were all pleased with our dinners. We had picked up friends from Oakland airport on Friday night,so it was a perfect location since it was late in the evening. Our waiter was great and extremely attentive. We will absolutely dine there again, the brunch menu looks great too and would love to see the view during the day."

"Quinn's is a special place in a different setting. From directions it seemed it may be a little tricky to find but was anything but that. A very nice setting right next to the water with boat slips all around. Even though pretty close to freeway it was really peaceful.Quinn's is really 2 places in one, the lower level is a nice dining area with great views and upstairs is a pub where you can eat peanuts and throw them on the floor and on nice days you can eat and or drink outside. The menu covers a variety of food, mostly seafood and same menu is ordered from at both levels"

"It was my first time at Quinn's and I have lived in Oakland for more than 40 years so this spot is definitely one of Oakland's best kept secrets. Met a few of my girlfriends after work for dinner. the food was good, the staff was great! We had a wonderful time and resoundingly we each felt that we would definitely come back."

"I discovered Quinn's back in 2003 or so and was delighted by the waterfront location as well as very by the food--notably the paella and the cioppino. For various reasons I didn't return for most of a decade. I'm glad I did. I booked an early dinner for my wife and me so we could watch the sunset over the harbor. My wife had a seafood pasta--portion so big she ate half of it for lunch the next day--and I had the cioppino again. It lived up to my recollection, with almost all the seafood perfectly cooked in the marinara-based broth (the calamari rings were just a tad chewy for me). Service was friendly but slowed to a crawl as we were finishing our meal. The somewhat harried server explained they were shortstaffed that night. Four thumbs up!"

"This is a restaurant that defines the word "funky", it's old, cluttered and just great! The view is fantastic, the food was good and the services was very good (although there weren't many people in the restaurant). It's nautical theme is taken to the max with ship wood walls and model ships mounted high on the walls all the way around the restaurant.
Fun place for lunch."

"Been to the Lighthouse many times but first review. Everything is always delicious and Service is amazing! You can sit downstairs for a more formal date type dinner or upstairs where there's more of a Bar Atmosphere but both levels offer equal service. We almost always get the same meals every time but decided to be adventurous this time and try something new! Our go to: Seafood Alfredo and Lobster Pasta - absolutely Amazing! Being from the New England originally I must say their Clam Chowder is spot on too! This time we had Coconut Prawns Special & Chicken Parm, perfect! Oh yah, and BEST Buffalo Chicken Wings!! I recommend Quinn's Lighthouse to anyone who's looking for a nice spot right on the water in Oakland, we're never disappointed."

"This is our go-to place whenever we have an event at the O.co Coliseum. Great seafood, nice sunsets, excellent service, reasonable prices, and quick in-and-out when you need to get to a concert or game. Beefsteak tomato salad was only so-so, but the seafood (bisque, shellfish, ling cod) were excellent, fresh, and well prepared. Good selection of wines by the glass at reasonable prices, too. I think it's as good or better than anyplace in Jack London Square, with the ambiance of being in an old lighthouse, and at a much lower price. We'll keep coming back whenever we're in the area."
