We have combined the best of our prior locations into the ultimate casual Uptown destination. The historic 100 year old building that is our new home has reclaimed many elements. Tin Ceiling tiles adorn our main wall. Our Open Concept Kitchen allows you to see and smell our fantastic food as it is prepared. Our 14 seat semi-private dining area is the perfect place for a business lunch or family gathering. All our food is prepared in house and our 68 seat dining room allows us to manage every detail.
"My first visit here was for Mother's Day dinner with my husband and son. We were greeted promptly at the door and I found the staff very warm and welcoming. Our server was very friendly and knowledgable, able to answer any questions we had about menu particulars. The pyhyllo wrapped Brie was to die for, and the fish cakes equally good. My ribeye was perfectly cooked and really a melt in your mouth steak! Hubby had the pickerel and quinoa and said it was excellent. Service was timely, even with the restaurant almost full. The red rose given to all Moms was a nice touch - definetely going back!!!"

"Food is somewhat below average for this class of restaurant. My steak was overcooked and a bit tough. The place looks a bit slow. May not survive. Given the quality of the food is only average. Suggest the restaurant to lower their price to get a bigger crowd."

"The restaurant is nice and the service is friendly. Unfortunately, the food is mediocre, comes in small portions, and is overpriced. The acoustics are odd in the restaurant itself, and seems to facilitate an echo. There were few full tables, and yet sometimes we had difficulty hearing each other."

"We have been there at least a dozen times and it is always fantastic!. We have been to every other decent restaurant in KW with Langdon Hall being the only exception and this is by far the best food and service. Don't waste your time and money at the chain places or Wildcraft, Charcoal JLB, Rushes, Sole etc etc. Just come here, your won't be sorry!"

"This place had a very modern look to it but was also quite rustic and warm. We order the phyllo wrapped brie as an appetizer to share and let me tell you, it was soooo good. The brie had a nice crisp on the outside and the cheese just melted in our mouths. The onion jam was a perfect match for the brie- I could eat a whole jar of it! I had the crispy skin pickerel (light but full of flavour) and my two coworkers had the Spinach and Feta Stuffed Chicken which they thoroughly enjoyed. Presentation was beautiful and the food was, as my co worker said, "The best food she's had in a long time." It was simply divine. To top it all off, the chef make a personal visit to our table. What a great place! We will definitely return!"

"The restaurant is beautifully decorated. We asked for our caesar salad to have a light dressing and that's exactly what we got. It was an excellant salad. Everyone at our table really enjoyed the food. The veal was a little chewy in spots but the sauce and overall plating was excellant."

"We had my Dad's 80th Birthday dinner in March and my birthday dinner on Friday. Brian and his staff made both occasions special with their attention to us in addition to the great food and service. King Street Trio is a great spot for a special occasion or to enjoy a nice meal in a comfortable atmosphere."

"Food was great. The one thing that was bothersome was the waitress. We were interrupted by her all the time for no real good reason (e.g., she wanted to get one unused fork from us). Maybe she was too eager/inexperient. The noise was too loud too. Not a place for a quiet conversation at lunch hour."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our 36th anniversary. We were seated so as to be able to observe the open kitchen and was impressed with the obvious capability of the chef. The service was considerate and appropriate for a fine dining restaurant. The wine list was balanced and of good quality. The food was done to a turn and presented at a leisurly pace so as to be warm when set before us.
We have no hesitance in recommending King Street Trio."

"We went there for my husbands birthday and we were very happy with the food and service we received. I ordered the roasted chicken pasta and I was very impressed! There are not many times I go to a restaurant and order pasta because usually I can make it at home. But this dish came with home made pasta and the flavours were incredible. My husbands steak was done to his liking. And our friends were very impressed with their meals as well. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a romantic spot or an intimate meal with close friends."

"My husband and I were there for our first time. Waitress tried to take away the wine menu before we even ordered. She was not familiar with the wine list and tried to serve us a cheap wine even though we had ordered a better bottle. However, the wine list was fairly basic. This is not the place for wine connoisseurs - it was mostly a list of Vintages "Essentials". Hubby's meal was pretty good - scallops appetizer nicely presented and a salmon special entree. My meal was extremely disappointed - the caesar salad was basic and the roasted chicken pappardelle was littered with dark meat AND some chicken skin. Not sure we will visit again."

"Food was great. Service very good. There is one thing that this restaurant should take into consideration. Special ocassions make people to come back. I informed our waitress that it was my boyfriend's birthday and he didn't get not even a tiny dessert with a candle, dsomething that would have made our evening complete. Too bad. I may consider go back as we loved the food but next time we will probably go for a regular dinner and nothing special."

"Our third visit at the new location. We were seated promptly at our reserved time. The restaurant was busy. The service was excellent, our young lady was pleasant and visited the table at regular intervals. The red wine was good and at the right temperature, not warm like many restaurants. I had the soup and steak, the soup was hot and the steak was served as requested "medium rare" and tender. My wife had the special, seafood risotto, she pronounced it excellent. The portions are generous.
Will certainly return."

"Overall, very enjoyable. Nice atmosphere and friendly and honest staff. Food was good with one exception; veal was over-cooked and tough. Although the flavour was pleasant, it was an unpleasant surprise to find the veal (of all things) to be tough. Desert was not charged."

We did not feel rushed to finish within the 2 hr time frame between seatings, and appreciated the staggered seatings which provided my husband and I the feeling of quiet, initmate and romantic dinner!!"

"Not all seniors are looking for a cheap meal in a family style resto. We visited King St Trio with a group of retired professionals who appreciate creative cooking and admire a nice atmosphere. We had some difficulty in reading the menu due to the lack of lighting. There was a small votive candle on the table and we were in danger of setting the menu on fire as we held it close. We were all pleased with our choices. The pickerel was delicious. Some of us loved the salad with pears and goat cheese, along with the crab cakes. The scallops were cooked to perfection.Fortunately the service was quick and attentive as we could hardly wait to leave because of the deafening noise from other diners, and dishware. So we had coffee at a nearby cafe."

"We were sat right in the front window. It felt like we were on display for everyone to look at. Our appetizer(calamari) was really greasy and rubbery. I got the chicken alfredo which really had no flavour at all. My boyfriend got a steak, it was just alright. Our waiter basically ignored us the entire time we were there. It took at least 40 minutes for him to realize we were finished and waiting for the bill. I don't think we will be going back."

"The decor is unique and extremely modern (beautiful)!
The ambiance was perfect! The manager was incredibly nice and inviting. The waitress was very bubbly and positive!
The food was out of this world! Every bite was mouthwatering and full of flavor.
My husband and I loved our experience at King Street Trio... we've been recommending it ever since. Every valentine's day we usually go to King Crab - the sister restaurant - however, we thought we'd try KST this time... needless to say we'll be going again and perhaps make it our new annual valentine's day dinner tradition!"

"The three appetizers were exceptionally good (Risotto Ball, Crab Cakes, Calamari). We shared and agreed that the calamari was among the best we have ever had. The pork chop main was excellent; however, the steak was medium not medium rare and the salmon was overdone so that it was dried out. The accompanying vegetables in all cases were very good. The dessert, apple crepes, was good but not great. The Crepe itself needed to be a bit richer, and the ice cream was disproportionately abundant relative to the apples."

"Food was fantastic, especially the crab cakes! Brought the kids and even though there isn't a kids menu, it worked out well (they were willing to split some of the menu items). Sat at the front window and even though it was freezing outside, it was nice and toasty inside. Can't say enough about the crab cakes! We'll definitely be back!"

"First time here. Classy atmosphere. Was loud out in the street, but completely quiet inside. Nice classical jazz piano playing.
For the size of our group (10), we were very well taken care of by our server (Melissa). Appetizers were speedy and delicious (oysters, soup, calamari). Accidentally got 12 oysters instead of 6. Not a problem. Everyone loved their meals. Dessert and coffee were nice, coffee is a little pricey.
Great wine selection.
Thanks to our server for making a birthday dinner special!"

"KW needs more restaurants like this - ie, urban, ambient and welcoming with a respectable selection of continental menu choices; for this, i am thrilled that king street trio is in our town and has the visibility that it does on King Sthowever, i think meals themselves were a bit inconsistent - my dining partner's camembert appetizer was wonderful, while my shrimp cocktail was below average (the sauce tasted like ketchup and the presentation - in a bowl of lettuce getting soggy on far too mcuh ice was really not acceptable-the meals were well presented and generous, but there was far too much duplication in what they constituted -a bed of rissotto on a creamy sauce - personally, some variety and creativity in side dishes would be"
