"I like this place because of the number of options they offer, especially for vegetarians. Sometimes I think there is a bit too much spice in some of the food. I like spice when it enhances the favor of the dishes, but some of the spice seems to overpower the food. And, since the flavors are great, it's disappointing to have so much spice to cover it up. The service is okay (the bartenders and bus people are very attentive, but the wait staff is inconsistent. It is also pretty noisy. For a chain in the suburbs, it's worth a trip."

"One of their ads I saw said never trust a skinny chef. Even though I know skinny chefs that are incredibly good I tend to agree with this. Mago has absolutely wonderful food. It is all VERY authentic and I can safely recommend anything on the menu without hesitation. My wife is vegetarian and I am the consummate canivore. We both love this restaurant and eat here frequently. The bar is incredibly skilled as well. I cannot say enough good about this place and I hope you enjoy it as much as we do."

"What a treat! The ideal Mexican restaurant, which is so hard to come by, now at our Bolingbrook mall! The food is delicious! It is a step above your ordinary tacos, enchiladas, beans and rice. I would say not only a step above, but an entire staircase above.

"Mago's is a pretty nice place, if a little small and extremely noisy. It's also so dark in the restaurant it was hard to read the menu. They have some nice complimentary salsas with chips. I recommend the salsa verde. I had the steak fajita which had a great deal of flavor but the meat was just a little tough. We'll probably go back again but I won't go out of my way to get there."

"I have been to Mago Grill a few times and I always enjoy my dinner. The food is amazing. I usually get the three taco dinner. You can mix and match which tacos you want. I recommend the Chorizo and the Chicken Tinga tacos, both melt in your mouth. You absolutely have to try the guacamole, which they make fresh right next to your table!
The atmosphere is usually very lively and can sometimes be a bit loud. This visit they had a mariachi band playing, which to be honest, was just a bit too loud and made it difficult to hear my friends at the table.
Overall, the service and the food make it a place that I just keep coming back to."

"I have been to Mago's a few times and the service and food have never disappoint me. On this last visit, my only complaint would be that the restaurant was really warm because they had a huge party in one of the rooms. They did try to regulate the temperature but until that group left, it was really warm.
If you go, you must get the guacamole. It is the best guac I've had in the area especially since they can make it with habenaros (it is spicy!). They also specially made a chorizo burrito for two of us, which was amazing!
The staff was very pleasant and very accomodating! If you can make a reservation prior to going do, as there was a line out the door but since we had a reservation we were seated promptly."

"Have been here several times - great food and great service! This last time I had a daily special - it was Walleye w/ a Chorizo type of pate on top with a red mole sauce - out of this world! My bf had the Carne Asada and it was great as always! We always make reservations - some nights the line is out of the door - hard to get a drink and wait because the bar area is very crowded w/ the waiters getting drinks so there is not really a good place to stand wait if you don't have ressies...but LOVE this place!"

"I've been here before and I had an overall awesome experience however when I went the other day everything was awful except the food!!!!!!!
My table side guacamole was made with one avacado for a 6 person table at $8.50 an order this was unacceptable each person had one chip full and it was gone. Our server hardly came by the table to check on us and all we did was wait all night for everything"

"We have dined with this restaurant twice, both times the food is outstanding but both had lack luster service. It is frustrating to eat some of the best guacamole I've ever had with no tortilla chips let a lone only get one refill on a Iced tea. The coconut mole is phenomenal with the tiger shrimp, but sometimes I question is it worth the frustration of having bad to below par service. Our last visit happened to be valentines day and our server was great at the start, but once we placed our appetizer and entree order it just fell after that."

"Both my boyfriend & I were very disappointed esp since we chose this place for our Valentine's Day dinner. We made reservations & people who came in after us were seated before us!! The service wasnt good at all & it seemed like everyone was confused. Because of our experience on Valentine's Day, unfortunately, I dont think we will be back - at least not any time soon!"
