"It took the server almost 15 minutes to come to our table and get our drink order after being seated. The sweet potato fries were good. The chicken on my sandwich was very tough."

"Loved the energetic atmosphere but all 3 dinners were very mediocre. I have never had such dry chicken. the fish and chips were extremely greasy and the pulled pork was OK. They needed more staff help as well considering how busy the restaurant was. The drinks from the bar were very good."

"If you're looking for a restaurant in the Penn Station/MSG, Hammerstein area, you probably know it's slim pickings. In this tourist and commuter laden area, Houndstooth is a diamond in the rough. Mind you, it's no great shakes, but much, MUCH better than the nearby pubs and dives. The do offer a few non-fried entrees as well, thereby improving your pre-game options. The portions are large, the beer and cocktail list is lengthy, and the sweet potato fries are actually memorable. I recommend reserving in advance as this place is always crowded with commuters. I would also warn them if you have a game/concert to get to. Otherwise the service can be a little lax."

"The bartender both at the main bar upstairs and downstairs almost appeared to not want to serve you. I waited with my friend and a couple by my side waited for at least 10 min before he served us. The Bus boys and he did not even look busy. They were chatting amongst themselves, and avoiding eye contact with the couple and my friend and I. So service at the bar was poor."
