"My husband and I took my moter to dinner on Sunday evening. I had given your restaurant such awesm reviews and this was her frsttime at yor restaurat. Thefood was fine, excet my prm rib wasbarely warm an the service was worse than mostrestaurants we frequent. We had o ask fo more rolls twoce, and I had to ask for my water to be refilled thre times!
TWICE, the waitress told us how tired she was, and that he had been thre since 8:15 that morning...WELL, why did that mean we deserved less than even average service?
I won't be back to Village Tavern for a long,long time!!!"

"Food and service were great, and overall a great experience. Unfortunately, a group of seven young females (20's) nearby were laughing much too loudly and not being considerate of others who wanted a relaxing dinner and conversation with friends. Don't know if I expected management to say something or not, but apparently this was acceptable. It would not deter me from returning."

"Village Tavern has something for everyone and is always packed. I personally want someplace less noisy. It was very difficult to have a conversation. We had a reservation but had a terrible table near waiters bustling around."

"Waitress was pushy and went far beyond the bounds of merely recommending something. I've been to VT many times and know what I like. When I didn't follow the waitress' recommendation she acted like I was an idiot and I'd insulted her because I didn't follow her recommendations.

"We were at this restaurant on Easter Sunday so they were at capacity. Service was still great - order taken and food received in a timely manner. Drinks were kept full at all times. Manager also checked on our satisfaction during the meal.
The menu offers a wide variety of choices for all tastes. Quality of food was great - good taste & freshness.
Very cozy atmosphere, big stone fireplace was lit in the main dining room."

"When I made my reservation I requested that we be seated at a table rather than a booth due to a person in my party having a broken foot. The man at the receiption desk tried to make us take a booth and when we refused, we had to wait for a table. The food was okay, the pizza was really bad. We spent $150.00 for an okay meal. We more than likely will not go back."

"Food was great as always. Original Tavern in Reynolda Village has more ambiance, but this one is definitely larger and of equal quality. Made reservations online with Open Table and walked straight in and to our table. Food was delicious, large portions. The drink specials hit the spot. "The food was amazing and the list of beer and wine was great. But the service could of been better, the server didnt really know anything about the menu. Also the "special" that was sent to me in email (the main reason we went to Village Tavern) was no longer available even though I had it on my phone and showed the manager. So Great food but if you get an email special for them then dont count on really being able to order it when you get there. You will get much better service across the street at Applebees!"

"Being Valentine's day, my expectations were not all that high as I know all restaurants have to handle the large crowds. I was, however, surprised to find that the Village Tavern handled it ver well, with no delays in our reservation; prompt, friendly and attentive service; and well prepared food both visually and tasting. If they can do this on what is perhaps their busiest day, imagine what they can do on a normal day!"

"Had reservations for 5:45 and did not get seated until 6pm. We were asked by staff prior to seating if we could be done by 7:15 because they had another reservation at 7:30 and needed to make sure they could turn this table over by 7:15. Told us if not we would have to continue to wait. Remember we had reservations and did not get sat by our scheduled time. Went to sit down and they stuck 6 adults and 1 child in a booth. It was extremely tight and if you have anyone of any size in your party you will not fit in these booths. Thank goodness food was good because that was the only saving grace. Very expensive place to eat and turned off by overall experience."

"Overall reliable sort of place. We like it for weeknights. Ordered the filet mignon this time even though I'm kind of a steak snob and only order steak at higher end places. The flavor was good and it was cooked correctly, although it was not the highest quality cut. It was priced well though, being less expensive than average for filet. Service is always great, friendly."

"Truthfully I didn't see what all the fuss was about. I got shrimp and grits and my husband got baby back ribs. There was way too much garlic and I am a big garlic fan. My husband's ribs were tough and dry. The food was way to over priced for the poor quality."

"The waitress was very accomodating and always there to check to see if we needed anything. The atmospehre is very nice especially when sitting close to the beautiful fireplace. Parking is limited, so you need to get there early of your reservation. It is one of the best restaurants in the Winston-Salem area."
