"I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich which sounded so loaded with flavor on the menu because it was not only made with cheese but also an apple, bacon and maple syrup.
I barely saw the apple for it was just a sliver cut so thin I could barely find it yet alone taste it, the bacon strip was tiny and carelessly cut leaving it hanging on the outside of the sandwich in the cheese rendering it useless, and the french fries were overcooked, cold and hard.
Because the waitress noticed how much was left on the plate she asked if I liked the meal. When I said not really, she nodded and asked "it was too cheesy?" Am guessing others voiced their displeasure along the way.
Won't be returning any time soon, if at all."

"Here is a great brunch spot. I took one of my friends here and we were completely amazed how our day turned out to be. 3 dollar Bloody Mary's as well as mimosas and bellinis and great food with a magnificent accompanying music, just don't miss it. You will enjoy."

"We were back for another performance by Calamity Chang and her talented colleagues in Room 69 burlesque. The place wasn't that crowded, but it meant we were able to enjoy the show without anyone standing in front of us or having to maneuver for a better view. As always, great food and service in a place we're pleased to visit regularly."

"We were back for Calamity Chang's Room 69 Burlesque show, and it was a terrific one! Lots of great performers and a large crowd. I do wish the crowd were more appreciative, and though I've learned a few tricks after numerous visits it can be a challenge to get (and keep) a good view of the show when there are that many folks there. But we still had a good time, a good dinner and enjoyed an amazing show."

"WOW! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Hotel Chantelle as a brunch spot! I have been here many times before at night when it is a lounge/bar and even then it has been a WONDERFUL experience. As far as brunch goes, the ambiance was perfect, especially with the live jazz band playing, and the way it reminded me of central park with the cute benches. The food was absolutely delicious. I normally am not able to finish an entire meal but , I pretty much licked my plate clean. The drinks were delicious as well, strong but not overpowering. My waitress Sophia was a doll; I do not often meet waitresses who always have a smile on their faces and are willing to assist with anything, but she was kind, patient and extremely sweet. I will definitely be returning!"

"We ate dinner at Hotel Chantelle on Tuesday. The good: picture perfect setting for a beautiful spring night, enhanced by the live jazz and professional dancers. The ok: the food was fine, nothing special but not bad. The atrocious: the service. Our waitress appeared completely out of it and never came to our table unless we specifically asked someone to get her. Even then, there were laughably long gaps between each part of our meal. The couple next to us had the same problem, and we could see other extremely upset people around the room. Other than the manager, whose attitude was equally bad, the other staff were quite helpful and seemed to be working hard to pick up the waitress's slack."

"We've been here a number of times to catch Calamity Chang's "Room 69 Burlesque" show, and it never disappoints. We've learned to make reservations so we could get a table with a good view, and the bar staff and wait staff have always been friendly and helpful. Good food, reasonably priced cocktails and beers on tap, and an energetic vibe and crowd. As long as it doesn't get too crowded (fortunately, that hasn't happened often), this is our go-to place in the NYC metro area on Friday nights."

"Delicious food. Great staff and the jazz band did a phenomenal job . $.92 cocktails were fantastic and well made. Only down side to brunch here is the proximity to which you must sit to other tables, which sometimes is not an issue, and other times it makes you privy to conversations you wish you didn't have to listen to. Overall i love this place and try to make it at least monthly."

"The energy there was fantastic. Well, really best of all were the mimosas--less than $1 a glass. It was great. And the food was great. A number of options and all great light brunch items. There was great live jazz. The tables are a bit crowded as its busy at brunchtime but being on a rooftop makes it feel still like an open space. The mimosa deal seriously is the reason to go!"

"Went there with a group of friends for brunch. Food is nothing special but ambience is great. Live jazz band, people dressed up and dancing 50's style. Nice rooftop, tons of light and space enough so that you don't need go hear your neighbour's taking . fix brunch was 19.5$ and drinks 49 cents..?!! Service is a bit slow but friendly. I recommend this place!"

"My wife and I, with our daughter, went to see Calamity Chang's Room 69 Burlesque show. We made a reservation online, and got precisely the table we wanted. We didn't have much food, but our drinks were well-prepared and served expertly and quickly. Service overall was excellent despite the crowded room (that's why we enjoy getting our favorite table so much). We've been there a few times already, and plan to be back regularly. Great venue, drinks and show!"

"The food was good overall, though I thought the risotto was too al dente. Midway through the meal they changed the music and it became loud, club music. The view from the roof is nice. The service was horrible. The host was lost as to where to seat us. Our waitress kept interrupting us, and the other waiters kept trying to take my plate when my date was not done with his dish. I would not return to this restaurant."

"Hotel Chantelle was a place very unexpected.. As they say, it's better to experience once than to hear a hundred times, and it perfectly refers to Hotel Chantelle. Standing outside of it, gives you absolutely no idea what it might appear like on the inside. The only reason I even knew about is because I had bought a voucher that was advertised on Facebook. I took a friend for brunch and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The service was great.. the crowd was hip.. and the jazz was live! Perfect place to come to for brunch..! Don't let the outside fool you..When you're upstairs dining on the rooftop, you forget where you are.. it feels like you've just escaped NY.. I'll definitely be going back!"

"Ok for brunch. It's cheap and you get what you pay for. It's busy and the service is a little slow. Cocktails are only .92 at brunch so that's nice. "We were originally 5 for brunch but that changed last minute to 4. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, even holding our table as people arrived at different times. Food and drinks and ambiance were great - cheap cocktails (not in quality) and awesome jazz music.
