"Our food was excellent! We had the Filet MIgnon, Sole Piccata and the Chicken Schnitzel and all were prepared to perfection! We loved that we got soup or salad and dessert with the Early Bird menu and it was reasonably priced."

"We went on Mother's Day. We had a baby with us, on arrival we were escorted to a table that had a high chair.Service was impeccable ,good wine selection, food was very good .hostess Dodi was very charming and showed genuine concern for her patrons.

"Second time at the Nest and our last for awhile.
Waitress(Sarah) rushed us at every opportunity.
Sarah is a friendly person, but seemed distracted much of the night.
Didn't even have a chance to finish Cocktails and the Entree was at the table.
My Veal Scallopenne was great. My wife's Spaghetti with Olive oil was watery and
barely tasting of the Oil. Very bland.
We were disappointed this visit because we had a good experience first time.
There are so many good restaurants in The Desert that we probably won't be back
to The Nest for awhile!"

"We did not feel that The Nest livd up to its reviews. The noise level was beyond terrible. There were several large parties with one of them shouting as they talked to each other. We changed tables as did others seated by them. There is a larg second room which would work nicely for larger groups which would then make the main room much more enjoyable for diners. Even when having change tables it was very difficult for us to have a conversation.
Our appetizers were very good....escargot and caprese. My husband enjoyed his ahi-ahi; however I was very disappointed with the sand dabs, a fish I always enjoy and seldom find on a menu. These seemed more like breaded sole rather than delicate, sautéed sand dabs.

"We were on vacation around Nevada and California from the UK. This was probably the liveliest and most fun place we have eaten at so far. We were glad we had made a reservation, because this place was in full swing by 8pm when we arrived; it seemed the whole town was here! I can see why it is so popular; the prices are right; the food is excellent and the party atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. The music from the bar just set your toes tapping. If you are in the area, you just have to dine here."

"Ok...maybe its just me but we were not that impresses with the nest overall. I went with my girlfriend and daughter on a wednesday night. Maybe our expectations were too high based on all the positive reviews i read. The place was very busy when we got there at 7pm. We were greeted right away and seated quickly. After that the experience was just OK. The food highlights were the Ahi tuna and the crab cake appetizers. My veal picatta was just ok. My friends filet and shrimp..the same..just OK. I expected higher quality of food for the price. If you think "old and cozy dated decor " are your thing then you will love this place. Im 55 but this reminds me of a place my parents would take us when we were growing up... UGH!"

"Went to The Nest for the early bird special and was so pleasantly surprised with choices on the menu. The staff, one and all, were the nicest. Three of us had pork chops and they were tremendous and grilled to perfection. Two of us had fish. Delicious. The best was the music. We danced which I had not done in ages. Can't wait to return. "The food would be best decribed as a mix including old favorites and comfort selections.It was generally good with a wine list also offering good value and not really overpriced. Service was busy but attentive. The bar is separate from the main dining room and the bar scene is something to see with all ages on the dance floor. It is a real hot spot and looks like a junior high prom with all ages standing around the edges.....something to see and experience."

"I love Dodie and Kevin Henry so I was excited to learn they had bought "The Nest" They remodeled the restaurant which needed an update. It looks much better. I was surprised by the higher prices on the menu and I feel that the prices seemed high for the what was served."

"What a nice surprise. We have participated in the music and dance here, but had never eaten here. It is under new ownership and the owner has done a tremendous job of making you feel welcome and providing you with excellent service and food. After dinner the bar scene is a happening place to socialize, have a cocktail, and enjoy the entertainment."

"Very fun and lively environment. Great music and the food was fantastic! A little loud and crowded, like a college bar scene for older folks, so I think I would prefer an 'off' night rather than a weekend, but we will definitely return!"
