"The food is excellent, and the surroundings are very comfortable. Service is friendly, and the restaurant has an overall friendly atmosphere. Good for just the two you or a family."

"I brought neighbor's for dinner for the first time it took a long time to get our food- we ordered a a bottle of wine which waitress brought to us when we were almost done with dinner so we cancelled order - it was our 3rd bottle of wine. i was embarassed that we had to spend a lot of money for poor servie. Needless to say I felt bad because I picked the choice of restaurant due to the fact I have been there before and enjoyed very much. As you can guess none of us will be going there again."

"Really great food which was worth the wait. Make sure you make a reservation! Our wait staff was extremely slow though (only saw our waitress twice) and it took FORTY minutes from the end of our meal to get our check. Great food but poor service."

"Yvonne was attentive, the bus boys were efficient, the food was delicious and the timing of each entrée was perfect. Making the reservation was easy and pleasantly fulfilled.
We look forward to our next night out."

"This was our first visit to PASTA PASTA. The two complaint I have is that parking is tough and there is no bar. They do serve beer and wine. We were greeted nicely. The menu has a lot of unique dishes. We had the appetizer for two which had shrimp wrapped with bacon, baked clams, and calamari. I had a baked chicken dish which was an upscale chicken parmiagiana with extra features. My wife had a cavatelli dish which she said was excellent.. We had a homemade dessert which was excellent, an apple cobbler type. Very nice place."

"Our dinner at Pasta Pasta was for the most part a very enjoyable evening. Since the restaurant is quite popular, the time between the reservation and when you are actually seated can be up to an hour difference. Everyone in the crowded lobby area was quite friendly and it seemed like there were a number of regular patrons. A waitress will bring drinks out to the lobby area for those waiting for a table. Once seated, the service and the food was terrific. There is a fairly extensive wine list, changing daily specials, and a nice variety of traditional Italian and American entrees. We will definitely come back in the near future."

"The food was good but the entrees were all a bit heavy. The pear salad was excellent. The waitress service was very accomodating. We were originally seated at a table far too small for 4 and were moved upon request. The restaurant is crowded, with tables very close together. We all enjoyed the evening and the food. We were given a gift certificate, with an additional $10.00 coupon if used by 4/30, from a friend. The manager came to our table stating the coupon was altered and therefore invalid. It appeared he was accusing us of altering it, which was embarassing to us in front of our guests. My husband owns a business and works for a local business. In order to keep customers they both would have just accepted the coupon."

"Our favorite restaurant never disappoints! We celebrated the announcement of our sixth grandchild here yesterday and Steve graciously gave us a bottle of chardonnay on the house!
We go here all the time to celebrate a special occasion or just to have a quiet delicious dinner by ourselves or with our family. I also go here monthly with my book club.
Speaking of favorites, try the Penne with shrimp and andouille, the rigatoni with goat cheese and shrimp, the calamari for an appetizer and the chocolate bag for dessert!
Pasta Pasta is a winner and IMO, the best restaurant in all of Suffolk County!"

"This was the first time that we arrived for an early dinner. Food, service, and ambiance was good. Food could have had more taste and flare for the price, and the house wine was just okay. We will go there again, but it has been better in the past."

"We have been to Pasta Pasta several times in the past and have always enjoyed the experience. This is the first time that the main course was a disappointment. The grilled mahi mahi over risotto did not measure up to Pasta Pasta standards. The grilled fish was dry. Except for a tiny piece of squash, the risotto was colorless. The food was presented on a white dish adding to the bland effect. What ever happened to at least parsley? We will probably return at some point since this meal was our first disappointment with the restaurant. However, it will probably not be for awhile."

"I remember it being better in the past. The basic menu has been the same for years and years and years, although they do seem to have specials each time. The wait staff was friendly and attentive - brought plain bread when we requested some, checked to see if the buttery spread on the first loaf contained garlic (it did not), and agreed to substitute chicken for sausage in a pasta entree. The fried calamari was soggy and the "grated cheese" was some sort of powdery stuff. Freshly grated parmesan or Romano would have been a much better way to go. We all agreed that the noise level was too high, but I am not sure what could be done about that, other than to have fewer tables, which I am sure they don't want to do."

"This was one of the best meals I had had in a long time. There were so many outstanding menu options I couldn't choose. We decided to share an both of our meal choices were fabulous."

"I took my girlfriend to Pasta Pasta for Valentines day and have been there a handful of times before. The ambiance is fit for date night with soft lighting, not too loud, etc. The staff is friendly and attentive with a good knowledge of the menu. The Italian is some of the best available in the area, in my opinion. I will definitely be back and highly recommend it."

"The front end staff was very accommodating. I made a special request for a corner booth, and was given a corner table. Which actually have us a better view for a first date. We were very pleased with the food,I especially with my rack of lamb. Service was fat, though inconsistent. I would dine here again and not think twice."

"This was the first time we were at Pasta Pasta and we were not that impressed. We made reservations almost a month in advance and asked for a quiet table in the back. We were placed in the line of kitchen traffic, next to a large group of loud people, with wandering little children. Normally this would be fine, but this restuarant boasts a quiet, romantic setting, and it was far from that. Also the pasta dishes & salad were good, but run-of-the-mill, nothing special at all. The fried "sesame encrusted" calamari appetizer was obviously prepared with frozen calamari rings and the sauce it was served with was terrible. Although, The glass of wine that was poured was a good amount and tasty. In conclusion, we will not be back."

"Since we went on Valentine's Day, I assumed we would face a mob scene, but was happily surprised that we only waited 10 mins for our table and were seated in normal Pasta Pasta fashion, with some room to spare. It could have been our late 9:30 seating, but it worked for us.
Food was fabulous with the small exception of the lobster in my tortellini dish being a bit overcooked. I'll give them a pass on that considering the sheer volume of diners they must have had that day. I love the fact that they always offer their full menu with specials for Valentine's Day.
Service was a bit slow and we had to wait a bit for refills on my soda and the additional beer we ordered, but nothing horrendous. I did have to ask for pepper which never happ"

"Caesar salad was good. Loved the seafood pizza with lobster, calamari and shrimp. Penne pasta with shrimp was good but not special. Apple blueberry crumble was the low point of our meal. This is a great local spot with nice ambiance. Make sure you make reservations!"

"Pasta Pasta serves just "okay" food. We had the two specials hoping they'd be special. Unfortunately, nothing special about either dish. We haven't been to Pasta Pasta in over a year and won't go back until they change the chef. The special pasta dish was bland - nothing creative, nothing that keeps you eating because of the taste. You just keep eating it because it's costing you $$ and you're hungry. The bread they bring you before your meal is a hunk of a loaf with what seems like an italian oil salad dressing dripped in the middle of it. It's terrible. Warm bread and some nice butter would have been a lot better. Very disappointing dinner at a costly price."

"Had a wonderful dinner on a Saturday night. Restaurant was very busy. I had made reservations and we came in a bit early. Comfortable waiting area with plenty of seats, wonderful host asked if we needed anything while we waited. We were seated within minutes of our reservation time. Staff was incredibly friendly, courteous, and attentive. Food was delicious, everything was brought out in a nice flow. Couldn't be happier."

"This is a pleasant, informal small restaurant with very good food at moderate prices. My order of boneless BBQ ribs was a bit bland for my taste, but generally the food on the early prix fixe menu was excellent. One suggestion: plates should be put under the desserts which are served in double sundae-style dishes."
