"Went in not particularly hungry and was afraid I wouldn't be able to finish my meal; not a problem, ate every bite of my Caramelized Salmon. Tried my wife's Jaeger Schnitzel, it was fantastic as well. Raw bar had blue points that day, very good, got a good martini. Chocolate Mousse and coffee desert drink excellent. Prices reasonable I think considering the quality. Before tip we were under $100 for two. As a near beach restaurant, you can probably get away with less formal dress even though it is an elegant place."

"My wife and I went to Jonathan's on Saturday, May 11, 2013 with another couple and enjoyed the usual positive experience. We tried some different dishes and were very pleased with the "made at the table" ceasar salad, chicken piccatta, and the seafood pasta dish. It was difficult to steer away from my normal stuffed haddock entree, which is aways great! Our waiter, Ryan, was attentive and personal and we liked him a lot!"

"Lobster bisque for $9.50 with no lobster; Jonathan's salad with iceberg lettuce, cucumber and carrots -no offer of fresh pepper for anything. We ordered a bottle of Pellegrino - no lemon or lime wedge offered. My husband's chicken piccata came breaded like a schnitzel! I had a vegetarian offering the bottom of which was doughy overcooked gnocchi, then a piece of breaded eggplant, then some spinach for $22.50. The only thing I "enjoyed" was a Manhattan. So sorry I wasted a $100 on a bad meal when there are so many good restaurants in the Ogunquit/York area. I guess you should be wary of the food in a restaurant that has dinner shows!!!"

"This was a very nice place for a getaway weekend. Very romantic atmosphere. Food was excellent. Appetizers were terrific. Desert was wonderful. "I was here on Friday evening to hear Holly Near and her band. In order to get the best seats for the concert, dinner had to be part of the deal. The setting was lovely and I can only imagine how beautiful the gardens would be in the spring and summer. I started the evening with a recommendation of the elderberry martini which was outstanding. The vegetarian entry for the evening was eggplant, it was nice, could have been a bit more flavorful. The sauce was a basic tomato sauce that lacked depth and complexity and the gnocchi were not made on site. For the price, I thought the quality should have been a bit better than it was. The service was attentive and friendly."

"A dining treat for all seasons! In the summer we always treat our summer guests to dinner and a show at Jonathan's and when the summer season sizzles, Jonathans remains our favorite local dining experience. We especially enjoy the eclectic "arty" atmosphere, the "chef's special," the extensive and delicious wine and food menus and the fabulous service. We have NEVER been disappointed!"

"1st impression, Kid laying on the floor to the entrance of dinning room and then when he got up was awalking around the dinning room in circles over and over, no one asked him to sit down. Didn't have the bottle of wine I ordered ($60) so they made my drink stronger to make up for it which ruined the drink, which wasn't made right to begin with (I bartender for 20 years). Wait staff very nice.. Food just OK. Order mid got mid rare. husband ordred well done got mid rare. Room with very loud and not relaxing,, to many kids.When the menu is so limited expect food to be spot on. We eat out at least 2X's a week and try new places all the time. A nice warm roll or crusty bread would be more upscale then a biscuit. OK calamari nothing special."

While the waiter was fine, he didn't seem particularly engaging or interested. It also took a little longer than I would have expected for him to come back and check in on us.

"Jonathan's was an excellent chose. They catered to my personnel request of having flowers for my Angel on the table, waiting for our arrival. The food was amazing and prepared to perfection. The staff was very accomadating and right there when you needed something, and not hanging around when you didn't. The only negative I can think of is the noise level. It was loud and sometimes I had to lean over to hear what my Fiance was saying, but given the awesome food there I can see why people raise the voice octive to where it was that night. It is a place we will frequent ofter in the future."
