"It is fine dining and you generally get what you pay for; however, our server was having an off night and we felt she was somewhat rushed or stressed. We've not experienced this prior to our last visit at the Ranch. Appetizer taken away before completed (one of our plates); had to ask for another wine glass (we had both white and red), the recommended oysters were so small that they were more the size of clams in the shell-- would not order that again. We were celebrating our anniversary with another couple at the table. My husband surprised me with two bottles of their wines, one being a 1996 pinot noir from a favorite wine maker. Had to swap it out for the correct one he paid for!"

"If you are looking for a great meal, caring service and lovely ambience, the Ranch Restaurant is your kind of place. When dinner is over ask if you can visit the Ranch Saloon which is located next door. It is a Saloon which might remind you of Gillis's but, it is much better with line dancing, delicious snacks and great liquid libations. What more can one ask for in one evening."

"This was our second time to The Ranch Restaurant and the food and service was fabulous once again. It was a special evening "Mothers Day" and Mom made the choice to drive from Newport to Anaheim for the occasion. We couldn't have selected a better restaurant to spend time together as a family. Mom and one of our boys selected the Chef's menu and the food and presentation were wonderful. I ordered the chopped salad followed by the Chilean Sea Bass, both which I thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you for a wonderful evening and we're all looking forward to our next visit to The Ranch."

"my first time to this restaurant. After waiting while for our appetizer the waiter notice that it was taking longer than usual we had almost every manager and server at our table apologizing they comped the appetizer and then they brought us chef samples on the house they more than compensated for their mistake great food great service would recommend it to anybody"

"my wife and i went to the ranch for her birthday. the dinner was one of the best we have ever had anywhere.we travel alot to other cities across the country on vacation but its great to find a gem so close too home. the only down fall was when we were escorted to the lounge by one of the managers were we met with four of our other friends . as we walk in towards the bar we noticed all the tables had reserved signs on them i asked if he knew anything about that he said he had talked to the bar manager and he was told the tables are resered long in advance. i called a few days before and spoke to a lady named amanda regarding a cover charge and was told there is a cover charge for non dineing guests it was $ 10.00 after 8:oopm"

"Had a business dinner on a Tuesday night and it was an allaround wonderful experience. Our server was amazing. Very knowledgeable and well spoken. Provided great recommendations and timely service. Cocktails were fabulous (we tried the cucumber with elderflower martini and the lavendar lemon drop). For an appetizer we tried the pop-overs and they were amazing. Our meals were all cooked to perfection (Lamb, Filet and NY Strip). Dessert was presented well and had a variety of textures (milky way).
We will be back and we will recommend to others!

"Incredible service and ambience! We ordered the ceasar salad (a little large and too leafy) and the prime rib special. The meat was cooked perfectly and I still am dreaming of those white chedder scalloped potatoes...yum! We topped it off with two scoops of homemade ice cream which the Manager suggested (and even knew all of the current flavors!) when stopping by the table. Thank you for an amazing evening, we will definitely be back :)"

"Drove right past thinking this was an office building. Once you walk through the door you are transported to an upscale cowboy ranch. It is warm, friiendly and impressive.The most notable food items are the onion soup and Chilean sea bass, best we have ever eaten. Large portions beautifully plated. "As always, my meal at The Ranch was great. We went there to celebrate my birthday and most of the food was delicious! I was so hoping they'd have their prime rib entree available and it was! Sadly, it (and the au jus) were a bit on the cold side and that took away from the pleasantry of eating this hunk of meat that I was drooling months for. The green bean casserole plus that potato gratin were knocked out of the ballpark; they were so scrumptious!
And, ooh... to end my meal? The complementary birthday dessert I got to pick! Is it the sticky toffee pudding? That bread pudding was off the charts and I want some more right now :-)

"We decided to order the Spring Price Fixe menu and comparable ala carte courses so that we could share the dishes and get a taste of everything. In every case the items from ala carte were much more flavorable, seasoned appropriately and cooked to the proper temperature. It almost appeared that the Price Fixe menu were stocked in the back and the ala carte items were individually prepared when ordered. Please understand that except for returning the halibut dish because it was overcooked, the meal was wonderful. But it was apparent that more care was taken with the ala carte dishes...."

"When one of our long time favorite restaurants (Mr. Stox) recently closed after many years in business, the ownership of Mr. Stox referred its patrons to The Ranch. This was our first visit to the The Ranch to try it out and I'm pleased to say that the experience was awesome. The restaurant is beautiful and the setting is elegant but inviting. The appetizers and entrees were excellent as was the service. Although the restaurant is located a few blocks away from the Disneyland area restaurant scene, it is definitely a find worth seeking out. You might expect a restaurant named The Ranch to be located in a ranch style building, but this restaurant is actually located on ground floor of a high-rise building. Try it; you'll like it!"

"Celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary at The Ranch Restaurant. Had never been there before and went on a friend's recommendation. We're sure glad we did. The service was outstanding, the meal was delicious and the setting was perfect for our romantic event.
Our server helped us with by-the-glass wine selections that suited our different tastes. My wife had the New York steak and I enjoyed the BBQ spare ribs. We shared both and loved each bite. The vegetables served with the entree and the side we ordered were fantastic - the server said they were grown on the restaurant's "farm". It sure tasted like they were fresh picked.
We had a great time and will definitely be back. And we had fun dancing in the Saloon next door afterwa"

"When we could not get a reservation at the The Studio at the Montage we decided to try this restaurant. It has been suggested to us by a few people so we decided to give it a shot. We celebrated a couple of birthdays and the experience was great from beginning to the end. The restaurant's staff was friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive to our table. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the preset menu with the wine pairings which was excellent! This was a great dinning experience and we can't wait to go back."

"A year old, but clearly the top restaurant in Southern California. Exec Chef Michael Rossi is a culinary genius. They are fortunate also to have Michael Jordan, Master Sommelier. Foodies love this team. I had a prime beef, perfectly cooked, the heritage beet salad, my favorite, and my guest and I both had the Scuna bay salmon wrapped in a spectacular avacado overcoat. the team won a James Beard foundation award for this dish in New York last month. I hope it will always be a permanent item in the menu. As always, We start with magnificent Popovers - exactly like my Italian Grandma made when I was a child. I am a restaurant freak constantly checking top chefs. The Ranch is unbeatable in California. Service is impeccable."

"It was a special occasion for my wife and she loves steak and prime rib so we decided to try The Ranch Restaurant. We arrived for our reservation (recommended) a little early and were greeted cordially and seated right away even though the restaurant was full, and our server appeared immediately with menus and recommendations, all of which were excellent.
The food and service were both also truly at a five star level! We had the Prime Rib and both commented that it was the best we had ever had, with extremely generous servings of everything at a reasonable cost.
We are planning to make dinner at the Ranch a regular event and would recommend it highly."

"We were in town for a conference and found The Ranch through OpenTable. We were not disappointed. The night we were there is was pretty empty; which is too bad. The food was phenomenal--tasty, fresh and plentiful. We were four people and had 4 cocktails, 2 appetizers, 3 entrees, 4 sides and 4 deserts and walked away stuffed paying less than $250 with tip. Standouts include the escargot, short ribs, pork chop, popovers, roasted snow peas, mac & cheese and peanut butter and jelly desert. But everything was worth eating, and worth going back for."

"A very nice restaurant. The hostess was very pleasant and worked to seat us early. My honey and I split the cowboy rib eye (36-40 oz's) which was delicious with our side dish of creamed spinach.
My only "down check" would be the noise of the main room. Request a booth that is to the right of the bar; it is much quieter. We will definitely be back one night!"

"It was too loud to hear the waitress or hear anyone in our party of 4. So disappointing. The food was good however not worth not being able to carry on a conversation with anyone at the table. We were celebrating our birthdays however we had to celebrate in silence since we could not hear anyone. Would NEVER come back unless they acoustics were re-done."

"Although an unexpected location for a fine dining restaurant, the Ranch more than fills the bill. The menu is limited but changes with the seasons and depends on fresh ingredients. It should not be mistaken for a traditional "steak house", although the steaks are fine. It has excellent other entrees. The service is attentive and friendly, as are the managers whoare well trained in the business. Mr Stox diners are especially welcome."

"i ordered steak, medium and it came medium rare. I ordered creamed spinach and got a cup topped with melted cheese. ugh. My wife ordered creamed corn and I know creamed corn. This corn had an unpleasant aste that I had not experienced before
Plus, the waiter, very nice and very helpful, must have stopped by and interrupted us three times, inquiring if everything was well in waiter talk but when we needed him he was nowhere to be found. He gave the same intro sales pitch to every table around us in a too loud voice. way too long too. I had to wait through the sales We had to talk over him to have a conversation.

"Went here for my husband's birthday. The appetizers are unique and very delicious. Had escargot, rabbit with gnocci, butternut squash soup and salmon roll. All were delish! For dinner we had chilean sea bass, prime rib, new york steak which were all good. Best part was the dessert! We had Milky way and PB and J. Both were the best tasting dessert I ever tasted and even better because one of them was free for my husband's birthday.
