"Our 10 year old grandson is a Type 1 Diabetic. With the nutritional values listed in the menu, we as grandparents can enjoy taking the grandkids to lunch. Not only are your food choices amazing but we come especially because you provide the information we need to keep our grandson healthy."

"This if the best, healthiest restaurant in the Twin Cities. All of their selections have nutritional information. Their preparation of food was excellent. The serving sizes are somewhat smaller than normal, but that fits with the healthy nature of the restaurant. Will definitely go there again."

"I'm vegan my mother is NOT. I was sglad to find a quality resturant that we could both enjoy fully, on mothers day. If you're vegan you do NOT have to have pasta. There are other choices. Which is so nice. And if you eat meat, they have a very god steak, according to my difficult to please mother."

"We've been various times at Mill Valley Kitchen. Breakfast is usually quite uneven. This time, Mill Valley Kitchen was able to offer only one black tea, Earl Grey; the waitress portrayed the attitude "take it or leave it". Cappuccino was to be served one guest together with the food. It didn't arrive; only after great effort from our table did it finally arrive and wasn't very warm. Lunch has been uniformly good. We only had once dinner at the restaurant. Despite reservations we were put right by the bar and the noise level was atrocious. We were four people but our attempts at conversation were futile. Even though the food was rather good we are unlikely to return for dinner."

"Fresh, organic, flavorful, and healthy. Prices are a little steep, but an accessible way to get an upscale "foodie" experience without completely breaking the bank. Pretty good service (not crazy good, but friendly and knowledgeable).
And the food, frankly, was DELICIOUS."

"We loved our anniversary dinner at Mill Valley Kitchen. The food, service, and ambiance were all very good. We especially liked the "just right" portions. We don't mind taking home what we can't eat but having just the right serving size was kind of refreshing. The bite-size key lime pie is an especially great idea!"

"This past Saturday, we introduced two old friends to this fine restaurant. Our server was friendly, smiling and extremely helpful as she explained the history of the restaurant, and this evening's menu.
Three of us chose the swordfish steak, and one the pork tenderloin. Each of us found the choices delectable and substantial.
Desserts followed. Tapioca, butterscotch, black and white pudding, all delicious and just the perfect size after a hearty meal.
We were hooked from previous visits. I think my friends are, too."

"The restaurant has numerous gluten free options, and lists calorie break downs. Food was excellent as well as service. Desserts are small so those that feel too full, should at least be able to eat the shot glass size. The restaurant is very beautiful, though not a quiet restaurant. We will definitely go back. This neighborhood needed a nicer restaurant, so good choice."

"We come to this restaurant at least once a week. It has a large selection of gluten free meals. The owners obviously are concerned about healthy food, but always served attractively with abundant taste. It has been fun tasting this menu and I have never been disappointed. It has a lively feel inside, always busy, but not overtly loud. The one thing that makes this restaurant one of my very favorites is the incredible service that you always get. This staff has been trained by the experts and they will do anything to make your dining experience memorable. ( notice how they all smile!)

"This was my 2nd visit to Mill Valley Kitchen and it was equally as impressive as the first. Outstanding sea bass and mozzearella, tomato, basil flat bread the first time; mixed green salad with salmon and chicken, tomato, kalama, feta flat bread this time, which was delicious as well. But being a sugar addict, the desserts are my favorite aspect. They have a selection of mini desserts - as our waiter appropriately described - three lady-like bites. Killer lemon curd, delightful key lime pie and decadent triple chocolate. The perfect ending to a delightful dinner without overindulging. The wait staff here is excellent!"

"Mill Valley Kitchen is one of the best restaurants in Minneapolis. The menu is diverse - all of the ingredients are fresh and so well prepared. The portion size is "just perfect". They have a nice wine list - and petite desserts. Of the meals we've had . . . salmon, sea bass, bison burger, omelet, salads, turkey sandwich, chocolate chip cookies . . . each was outstanding! "My friend and I spent time in Paris last year and we were disappointed that we didn't have a fabulous, memorable meal. Since we returned home we've had several fabulous meals, including the one we had at Mill Valley. "Although the patio was full, we had a perfect table right next to the screen wall. They open up a large part of the wall next to the patio and the fresh air is just like being outside. The food is always delightfully fresh, never tastes frozen, like herbs and grains were growing in the back. Sea Bass paired with a light pinot noir and the fresh air was perfect. Delightfully fresh."

"Everything was wonderful except for service. Waitress was quite nice and knowledgable, just not very attentive. Waited for 1/2 hour for dessert. No refill on coffee, ect.But, I had gone there for lunch also and had a very nice and attentive waitress. It could have simply been too busy during dinner."

"We have eaten at Mill Valley Kitchen three times now. The food is so healthy and delicious! A favorite is ordering two or three vegetable sides with a small piece of chicken or fish. The scallops are wonderful. The burger is so so. The music is not great--doesn't seem to fit the overall ambience. The servers are very nice. This last time, we waited 10 minutes before ours arrived at the table and we had to ask a manager if we had a server--an oversight of some kind. Overall, the food is yummy and works with my many allergies, the decor is lovely and the staff sincere and helpful."

"The service is excellent. The food is fresh, delicious and exciting. The ambiance is crisp, (without feeling "stuffy") clean and comfortable. It's a new favorite! Love the many choices for people whose diets have special needs: gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian. Also greatly appreciate the use of organic and locally grown!"

"The food was outstanding, served while warm. My husband found the spice in the white bean accompaniment to pork at his limit for spice. I'm glad I ordered the steak instead, which was perfect.
We will return, and our out of state relatives will bring business clients when they are in town for projects. They lauded the quality of the Mill Valley Kitchen's food."

"This visit was for happy hour. We had been there prior for dinner and had a great time and very much enjoyed the food and the service. I would say the happy hour offerings are lacking, with choices really only being flatbreads and 3 burgers. This was disappointing. Since the bar area is quite large and appears to always be full, I assumed there would a fairly large happy hour menu and it just wasn't the case. The service that night was also just so-so. We'll go back but not for happy hour - we'll stick to dinner."

"I have recently been trying to lose weight, which makes eating out nearly impossible. However, I was so happy to see that the menu was full of items that were healthy and sounded delicious. I didn't feel limited at all, but the others with me that WEREN'T trying to lose weight didn't feel like it was too light or limited because of the healthy menu. I think anybody can find something no the menu they will like regardless if they eat healthy normally or not. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!"
