"Food tasted great, very small portions for the price. Service was okay, our waitress heard my order wrong and acted as though I was a liar when we tried to get the order fixed. The atmosphere was excellent, very quiet and romantic. Overall the experience was very good. I would recommend it as a special occasion restaurant."

"This was our first visit to The Brickhouse. We chose to sit in the back
Section which was quiet and Romantic!! For another visit, the bar area
Looked ready for fun. Steve had the halibut special-parmesan crusted and topped with mandarin oranges-
and I chose the Porterhouse pork chop, 16 oz of tender pork cooked to perfection. Both were outstanding.
Our servers were attentive and helpful.
We will definitely return. It turned out to be a great choice."

"Steaks are always wonderful and the fish specials fantastic! The staff has always been gracious and attentive to my food allergies. The wine list is quite impressive by the bottle and decent by the glass. Would be wonderful if the wine flight changed often or could be made according to entree selected."

"The dinner was for my wife's 85th birthday. She had the lobster and it was fantastic. Her daughter had seafood noodle disk (forgot the actual name) and it was fantastic too (I had a couple of bites) and I had the seafood tempera and it was just OK, the scallap potatoes were dry. Not a dish I would order next time that is for sure, nor recommend it to any one. The dress code on the web site said 'smart' casual, however some people came in jeans (we were a little more dressed up and expected other customers to be the same). Would go back again. This is a place to go for that special evening as the prices are a little high for Bend Oregon."

"Excellent steaks and overall general quality food is served at this pleasant restaurant. Nice to find the owner working as the bartender! With such close detail to watching their customer's needs, yet within a professional manner, it is a guarantee that the food and service are top rate. Note that Kobe beef is expensive and worth it for that occasional time to splurge."

"The food is always cooked to perfection and ohhh so tasty, and the wait time for the delivery of our meals, is as expected. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The view is beautiful at dusk, overlooking the Deschutes River. Definitely a keeper and if you haven't tried it, you should!"

"When we first arrived the service was great, but as the restaurant filled with people, the service deteriorated. It was a long wait to get coffee and dessert at the end of our meal. I also asked for a take-away bag for the remainder of my dinner and dessert. When I got home I realized all I got was my dessert bagged up, not my dinner. The steak I ordered, although from the early bird specials, had a lot of gristle (sp?) so 1/2 of it was not edible."
