"Love the crispy duck, cabbage and grits. Serving is big enough that my husband and I split it. They always are good about bringing it out on seperate plates. Service is always prompt. We consider Zea's one if our favorites ( and my husband is picky)."

"The song Crazy Train by Ozzy was blaring from the speakers signaled trouble. The girl sat us down then made us move over one table for some unknown reason.Waitress brought out a 1/2 dozen charbroiled oysters.Three of the oysters were a size of a Quarter. I looked around to see if someone was playing a joke on me. These were the smallest oysters we have ever seen. Seriously...... It was a joke. For someone to actually open these quarter size oysters and put them on a plate.Ate average size one and had to spit it out.Overdone rubber.Then..... wait.....it gets better........ the Redfish special was so overdone / hard, you had to cut it with a knife. And..... It was the size of a perch. And they forgot to put dressing on the wifes salad."

"Food was great! Setting was great.,the food was out really fast. The only downfall was yelling kids right next to my table. Other than that, no complaints. Still my favorite spot."

"We always eat at Zea's when we are in Baton Rouge visiting family. The service is very good and the food is great. Our favorite is the Thai style ribs (best I've ever had!). On Easter, we enjoyed splitting a piece of Sweet Potato Pecan Bread Pudding -- yum!
Our granddaughters (age 5 and 6) also like this restaurant because it is kid friendly and has Shirley Temples, as well as several good kids' choices on their menu.
We will keep coming back!"

"We received the worst table on the restaurant next to the kitchen door, our entree came just as we were getting our salad ( and I sent it back ) after which the same food returned ten minutes later....warmed from hot lights. The waiter seemed inexperienced and scattered,"

"Although the online reservation I made was not on the list when we arrived, they sat us quickly because we had the email confirmation in hand. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. The food was wonderful and well cooked. We will be returning to dine at Zea in the near future."

"I called the restaurant to make a reservation and they said they were only taking walk ins. So, I went on open table and was able to get one. When I got to the restaurant, I wasn't on the list, I told the MGR/receptionist I made it through open table and they seemed irritated. They seated us right away. The food was good. I'd recently had a hamburger at the Covington location that was wonderful. So I thought I'd try this one in BR. It wasn't nearly as good. It was dry. Mt husbands food was very good, and so was our duck empanadas. Overall, I'd go back, just don't get the burger. Our waiter was wonderful !"
