"Table side cooking was spectacular. Flambé' was exquisite and expertly prepared by Antonio, who, incidentally had prepared the flambé on Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown. I have never tasted a filet so tender and flavorful. The wait staff was friendly, and attentive. Go and enjoy."

"We saved this for our last night in Quebec City, after dining at the best places for a week between Montreal and Quebec City. This was the best of all, and the most fun. The classic style of the past is there, for the ones who love great service and the feel of French hospitality at its finest. We had a Caesar Salad prepared from scratch table side. Just the best ! The Veal Tenderloin and the Dover Sole were impeccably prepared. The wine list has a good variety.
The waiters all wore white coats, and were all very helpful, and extremely professional. They did not miss a beat.
We highly recommend this finest of fine restaurants. Making a reservation well in advance is probably a good idea. Do try to dress for the occasion, it's a nice place."

"As usual the overall ambience, service and of course the food was outstanding. We took two close friends who are quite used to fine dining and both agreed the quality and atmosphere of the restaurant was excellent. The Continental never disappoints. Highly recommended."

"Went in for our 20th anniversary while in Quebec City. Waitor had 4 tables to serve table side service to and was struggling to keep up. Another couple came in after us and sat down and he explained the menu and the service in detail, which he did not do for us. They then had bread brought to the table, which we didn't have and had been there for 20 minutes. At the rate he was going making Ceasar salad for the first group, we would have been there for a long time. We ended up walking out and leaving money for the round of drinks he did bring to the table.. Went next door to Conti which was awesome and the food was great. Had to at least rate food above so I gave it a one, but never actuall got to eat"

"This restaurant came highly recommended by two associates of my husband's. The decor is very dated and the menu and presentation very old-style for my liking. My husband enjoyed his steak which was cooked perfectly. My veal was passable. Vegetable accompaniments were nothing special. Maple dessert was disappointing. I found the table-side preparation more of a distraction than theatre. It was very difficult to carry on a conversation with the constant moving around of the prep tables and over-the-top service of the many staff members. Our waiter, Kevin, however, was wonderful. The service was very efficient."

"This resto is well known for its impeccable service and great food. Finding a resto which does flambé is rare and these people being the art of this style right to your table. Even the sugar pie which is made the same way every else I've eaten, is unique and wonderful. Scampi and Filet Mingnon was the favorite."

"We enjoyed our first visit to Le Continental on May 4. A very nice menu with many choices for table side flambes. They have team service so there were multiple people waiting on us; a couple were outstanding. I had the table d'hôte which included several nice choices. My wife ordered À La Carte and enjoyed whiskey flambe shrimp prepared table side. They have a nice wine list with some good choices at reasonable prices. Overall, the price was very reasonable for a fine dining meal complete with before dinner drinks and wine.
The restaurant is steps from the Chateau Frontenac so very convenient if staying at the hotel. We really enjoyed the food, service and experience and will be back."

"There is nothing special about the food unless pyro techniques is what you're looking for. One of my guests was served a bass entree that was literally inedible. How fish can arrive at table so tough it couldn't be cut with a knife will forever be a mystery. It was replaced but by the time the replacement arrived all of the others in my group had completed our meals so we just sat. Nothing was what it should have been and so, the cost was out of line."

"Amazing meal! Service and ambience was amazing. We did the flambé (shared filet mignon and shrimp) as well as Caesar salad to start. Everything was prepared table side and our "chef" was very entertaining.We were helped with our wine selection as the list was very extensive. The wine was outstanding. We are planning another trip to Quebec this summer and we will definitely book here again. Can't wait."

"Our anniversary fell on vacation week and, since we were in QC, in winter, with the kids, Le Continental was a perfect restaurant for a romantic dinner with the whole family. We checked our coats, the food was exquisite, the wait staff was attentive and particularly engaging with the kids. Could not have wished for a more perfect experience."

"This is a great classic french style restaurant. They specialize in the tableside flambes, which are very entertaining to watch. The food was very good - I would say excellent if both our meals weren't overly seasoned with sage & rosemary (it was very strong). Meals were cooked perfectly, and the service was excellent."
