Steingarten LA is a California-inspired beer garden that combines the old country feel of München and the contemporary flare of Los Angeles. Offering over 20 variations of sausages, from salmon and elk to wild boar and bison, Steingarten prides itself on their exotic selection. The Small Bites Menu changes frequently and offers uniquely crafted recipes that present an array of fresh and sophisticated dishes. The burgers are all natural, grass fed, no hormones, no antibiotics and made out of ground sirloin steak.

True to its name, Steingarten offers an array of 70 beer selections, with an extensive bottled beer collection and 20 rotating craft beers. Exotic signature cocktails and wine are also available.
Dark wood, fireplaces, a retractable dining-room ceiling and a quaint private patio make up the ambiance, where diners can sit at traditional communal tables or opt for a more private experience at the individual ones.
Weekday Happy Hour is from 4pm – 7pm.

"Went here with my wife for "date night". Its really nice for a low key dinner and drinks. There are also communal tables for big groups and a separate bar seating are with TV's. This also a great place to catch a game with friends. The burgers are great and the fries are delicious."

"We made a 6:30 reservation, but were running late. When I called Steingarten they said no problem. When we got there even a little later than anticipated they were still very accommodating even though the restaurant was crowded. A very nice family dinner out for my husband's birthday. All the food was really great, and the service pleasant and professional. The only drawback was that it was very loud. Next time we will definitely take the table on the patio."

"Steingarten is one of our neighborhood favorites and a place we regularly choose as the venue for any big groups or special occasion. The Golden Prize Burger is a wonder, and the ever-changing beer list is always fun to experiment. Also, they have good mojitos!"

"The beer selection here is awesome! So if you want to try some really out-there beers, Steingarten is for you. I thought the meat selection was also interesting, including alligator and bison! They really have something for everybody, even three types of vegan sausages and portobello mushroom sandwich and burger. The sweet potato fries are delicious! The food didn't blow my mind and something was missing in the ambience. But it's definitely a comfortable, laid-back place to go with friends or buddies to watch a game. Not ideal for a date night."

"I was very impressed by the nice ambience, the friendly staff and the good food. The sausages were almost as good as the real German ones. The rest was very American, such as the potato salad (the German version would have been much better). Still, the food was good. The only thing we were really disappointed about was that there were no steins."

"I gave the noise level a quiet, because I was there on a Monday night at 6:15pm and the place was not crowded, thus the noise level was low. From looking at the interior, long benches, tables and a bar it would be a different story when the place is full and jumping. Which I expect it will. Our food, we had a variety of sausages, were excellent."
