"First time. Great choice. Went by open table reviews. Staff was very attentive. Food was wonderful. Was very nice out , and they had the front windows and door open. Knew I had made good choice when Michael J. Fox came in with his whole family for Mothers day!!!"

"Warm, friendly, and accommodating staff; small but not crowded & tastefully decorated, food was outstanding and we liked the fact that the food was true traditional Italian not the Americanized versions, everything was cooked to perfection, pasta was not overcooked, the deserts were original and outstanding and one of the best ricotta cheesecakes we ever had. Will definitely be returning in the near future."

"This is a gem. The food is outstanding: you feel like you are in Italy. Just like in Italy, you cannot get a bad meal! Perhaps it is its out of the way location, but I cannot understand why crowds are not out the door."

"This place has become one of my go to staple places. It is always excellent food with superior service. Never been disappointed. The chocolate polenta cake is one of the best desserts so save space."

"Went here on a Tuesday night for a birthday dinner. First, was not thrilled with the table, small table against the wall in the back of the restaurant. Took longer than normal to order a drink and the service went down hill fast from there. A party of six came in 15 minutes after us, got their entrees 15 minutes before us and could not help but think that either the waiter forgot to enter our order into the kitchen or they just were catering to the larger group. Our apps were served and another 35 minutes went by until we got our entrees. THe waiter was nice enough but not attentive in the least and very rushed. Hard to blame him totally, the restaurant is totally understaffed. Food is very good, please hire more wait staff."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The restaurant is small and has an intimate feel to it. We went there with friends we hadn't seen in a very long time and we sat for hours and they didn't hassle us or try to shoo us out. The food was very good and it has an interesting, creative menu."

"Cute, local Italian restaurant with fresh homemade pasta, wonderful waitstaff... you definitely feel like you've been transported outside of NYC into a cozy Italian home.

"I'm not sure whether there was a management turnover or there was just dissent among the ranks. Service was noticeably slow, with several patrons making complaints. Front of the house argued amongst themselves in plain sight. Service was clumsy, with only the head waiter making an effort to provide service. The calamari in the frisee/mango salad appetizer was overcooked and rubbery. The prosciutto with the burrata was old and dry around the edges, as if it was old or left out for too long. The pasta was much better. It was cooked just long enough. The bolognese was good, and the orecchiete with broccoli rabe and sausage was a well executed dish. Too expensive to justify a barely par experience. I will not be returning."

"What a deightful surprise on a street with nothing comparabe.
Food & service excellent--very accomodating. I asked for a grilled veal chop which was not on the menu & chef, who was a real presence, .made it happen. My only concern is that location may work against it, so this is one find that I want everyone to support. I'm confident that you won't regret it"
