"It appeared a band might have been setting up during our dinner and something was causing loud feedback for a while completely disrupting our meal. I would have to say that if this ram location will continuing live music on Friday nights we ill no longer be eating there."

"We went to Ram for Mother's Day dinner. Hostess was very friendly and inviting. Drinks were expensive and small. All three of us who ordered martinis commented on the low level. What do you want for $12... The food was ok. Rib eye was not good. Service was fine and really nothing special."

"A get together in a central location landed us here. The restaurant honored our request for a quiet part of the restaurant for 6 people, round booth. We had a three hour catch up dinner that was perfect. Our waiter, Mack was excellent. Had never been to this restaurant before but will again."

"We attempted to use two debit Visa cards only to be told there would be a 40% gratuity added. We proceeded to place the entire tab on a Visa credit card. I proceeded to purchase items at a big box store only to find out both cards had an $18 pending charge.
So not cool!"

"A friend and I were in from out of town for the weekend. We found Ram Restaurant & Brewery through an internet search and made our reservation online. We are SO pleased we did! Our server, Siri, was energetic, helpful and incredibly friendly, as was her trainer, Jami. We ordered drinks and appetizers to start. The drinks were delicious, so we had a second round! We ordered three delicious appetizers! My friend ordered the salmon salad entree and said it was the best she had ever had. She described it as mellow and flavorful. I ordered the chicken/shrimp lo cal dinner. The chef was flexible and I switched spinach for mexirice and added grilled veggies. Superb!"

"My husband and I have been on a search for a nice rack of ribs and thought we would give the RAM a try. When my husband's plate was set in front of him, he thought he was being "punked". The ribs were so small he couldn't stop laughing. The server said they go for "taste" not size, but even the taste wasn't impressive. They were chewy and overly unsatisfying. The fries were also chewy and had sat too long before being served and the cole slaw was thick and pasty. The baked beans and hot cookie/ice cream dessert were the best parts of his meal. I had the haddock fish tacos and I thought it was fine for $12. The service was very good and she made up for the ribs by offering a free dessert, which was nice."

"Anytime we are in the Northwest Chicago suburbs, we stop in for dinner at the Ram. The burgers are great and the beers are spectacular. For the size of the restaurant, the service is also pretty good. If you go, be sure to make reservations. Even making reservations we had to wait 15 minutes for a table to open up, and walk-ins had to wait for overan hour."
