"Impressive and cozy atmosphere. Very pleasant staff. Truly authentic Italian cuisine. Extremely reasonable pricing. Large portion dishes. Coming from a very large 100% Sicilian family where great authentic Italian cooking is a constant pride, I can say that Bella Sera Restaurant made me feel right at home. Thank You :)."

"Our first time at Bella and we would definitely go back. The food was delicious and the desserts were superb. It seemed like we were on a Center City restaurant without the traffic. A neighborhood gem!"

"Went here for Easter Sunday, they started with great, crusty italian bread with a dipping sauce that had beans, garlic, and other great things. Two had parmagiana, one veal and one chicken and both loved them. I had a squid ink linguini pasta with scallops and shrimp in a fra diavalo sauce, also terrific. It seemed prices were a bit higher than on a regular day for the holiday, but everything was terrific and since it is a BYO, that holds down the cost a bit. Service was mostly attentive, it is located in a small strip shopping center, but is nicely decorated, white table cloths, nice artwork."

"We were there on a weekend and the place was quite crowded. Plus, there was a singer/accordion player. The service was a bit slow - no doubt due to the crowd. However, the veal ranked with the best I've had - extremely tender and flavorful. And the veggies retained a bit of crispness and were also flavorful. The staff was very friendly. For a quieter dining experience, I would avoid Saturday night. If you enjoy a vibrant scene, then by all means go on Saturday."

"Food was great-service not so much. There was no host to take us when we came in and we just stood around with 2 or 3 other groups not sure what to do. Also had a hard time understanding our waitress and we were brought the wrong entree...twice."

"My husband and I were there on a busy Saturday night, so even with reservations we had a wait. It was ok, though, because they had an absolutely incredible singer, Greg Armstrong, crooning to all the best old songs by Frank Sinatrra, Bing Crosby, Dean Martin...etc. Fantastic! Highly recommend dining there just for THAT! The food was delicious, service wonderful, everyone couldn't have been any friendlier or willing to please. Great job Bella Serra!"

"Love Bella Sera! Food always fantastic and so is the service. The only thing that confuses me is why sometimes we are given Limoncello after our meal and sometimes we are not. On our last visit, the table next to us was given Limoncello, yet we were not. We are regular customers so it would be nice if the offering of Limoncello was consistent and not only offered to some customers. We look forward to it and not getting it at the end of our meal is a disappointment."

"Ahhhhh, Bella Sera... our favorite local eatery... how do I love thee? Let me count the ways... The Southern Italian food is great and consistent, the Owners and Executive Chef are wonderful, the servers are very good, the regulars are loyal, you're BYOB and just down the street (yay!). What more could we ask for? (Thank you for the shutters... can we maybe lower the lights a bit and add a little ambiance?) :-) There's interesting nightly specials, a menu with something for everyone, delicious desserts... and it feels like you're family when you're here. Eccellente, Dom and Nancy! Molto bene, Marco! We'll see you on Thursday. Two thumbs way up for Bella Sera!"

"Dined here with my mother and husband on the advice of Opentable. We were a bit skeptical at first, as it is in a strip mall, but the overall experience turned out to be a good one. Our waiter, Mike, was very knowledgeable and mannerly. I had the branzino, which was filleted tableside. My husband and mother chose pasta dishes; both were excellent. I do think, however, that the prices were a bit expensive -- especially for a BYOB, as not even a small salad is included. The room was a bit cold at first (large windows) but it warmed up as more people entered. The live music was a plus. All in all, I would go back."

"I had never heard of this restaurant and found it on Open Table. We were very pleased with our meals and our waiter was outstanding. My only negative comment would be that they do not offer any substitutions with their entrees. My sister wanted two orders of the vegetables instead of the potatoes and was told that they could not accommodate that request. The meals overall were very good and we would go back again. On the Saturday night that we went, there was even a gentleman singing old Italian type songs which was nice."
