Ranch House Restaurant at Devil's Thumb Ranch
Folks in Grand County know that if it's a special occasion, there's really only one place to go. Ranch House Restaurant at Devil's Thumb Ranch sits rather unpretentiously on the edge of a sweeping meadow with the Continental Divide above, and worn hardwood floors below. You see, it's located in the original homestead that was built on the Ranch in the 1930s. We like to think that when those early pioneers picked the spot for their home, it was chosen for it's magnificient views - elk and moose wander by, the stars blanket the sky like you'll never see in a city.
We also like to think that those early Ranchers knew a thing or two about eating well. And we carry on the tradition with style at Ranch House Restaurant. We serve New American Mountain Cuisine here - which means real food, cooked with real ingredients. Organic and locally grown whenever we can. Always fresh, always delicious.

"The Ranch House Restaurant offers Colorado Wagyu beef, if you're willing to pay top dollar. As somewhat regulars here, we finally decided to try it. We won't do that again. We paid $72 for a 6 oz. Wagyu steak that was nothing special, & actually a bit tough. It was overcooked the first time & we had to send it back. The 2nd one was cooked perfectly, but-again-was not near what we were expecting--flavor & tenderness-wise. All our other food was fabulous. We just won't order their Wagyu again."

"I love this place! We have been coming here for many years and this restaurant has not missed a beat. While we had a reservation for 815 and were not seated until nine the food was outstanding and the service was excellent.The bartender made excellent and very innovative cocktails. The wine choice was very good and the elk was to die for. The portions were very large and prepared perfectly.We were a party of six and they did not add the automatic gratuity which was good since we had ordered an expensive bottle of wine and I feel like it's unfair to charge a flat gratuity on an expensive bottle of wine.Our waitress was outstanding and offered very good suggestions."
