"Chinook used to be in Cherry Creek then they relocated to the Tech Center...I had not been to the new Tech Center location till last weekend.... EXCELLENT. Love the new location. Food was exquisite. Jager Schnitzel was wonderful, my old favorite was still on the menu also, Wasabi Pea crusted halibut. THIS is the place for any special meal, or even just a weekday meal out... and, IT IS THE place to be for Oktoberfest festivities...."

"Service was very disorganized and painfully slow yet the restaurant did not seem overly busy. We had to request things several times before they happened, somethings never did. We saw tables receive the wrong food, have it wisked away and brought to a different table. Our desert was first given to a table near us. Skimpy paper napkins were a real disappointment too fur such a pricey place. The food was excellent, it was too bad it was overshadowed by the poor service."

"Finally! A restaurant still standing after many years that isn't part of a chain. Wonderful energy and yet able to converse with everyone at the table without screaming. Incredible food, delicate sauces and interesting, varied choices. The service was probably the best I've experienced in years. Truly a gem of a night and we'll definitely be going back for more!

"Chinook is one of my favorites because the food and service are consistently excellent. One person in our party is hard of hearing and the hostess who seated us gave us the perfect spot. Two of us ordered the calf's liver (a rare find in restaurants) and raved about it. Our server made wonderful wine suggestions and timed his appearances at our table perfectly."

"We were seated promptly. However After we ordered 40 minutes passed before we got our food (sandwiches). My friend ordered a burger medium. It was well done. I had a$12 sandwich and two glasses of house wine which was listed at $7. My bill was $39. Perhaps they padded my bill. I will not return."

"We went to Chinook Tavern on Sat 4/13/13. We there for a while before we even got a glass of water. We did have our waitress come over and say she would be right with us a couple of times. After a while she did come back with water and took our drink order and gave us menus. It was another 15 minutes before we got our drinks and then we did order. We waited for well over an hour for our entrees to arrive. Our waitress told us a couple of times it should be up soon. She was very nice and trying to appease us.
We have been to Chinook Tavern a few other times, and this was the worst experience we have had. My husband said it would be a long time before he would think of returning--if ever, due to our experience."

"Chinook Tavern has changed the "Hearts of Romaine" salad which was excellent. Even though it is still billed as a Grilled Hearts of Romaine it is a chopped salad with large chunks of bacon instead of a split heart with small bits of bacon. The dressing did not seem as creamy as before.
The rest of the food was excellent.
Out waiter poured the entire bottle of wine in the first pass....a no, no. Some of us like to have room for swirling and not everyone wants the same amount of wine."

"My wife and I have been to Chinook on a number of occasions. The food and service on this Easter trip were nothing short of "memorable." Tina was a wonderful hostess with much insight. She even took the time to ask me how spicy I wanted my bloody mary. It came out perfectly. Because it was Easter, my wife was interested in lamb. We had not had lamb before at Chinook, and it was "over the top." I got a taste from my wife. The lamb was awesome. And I have stayed away from lamb all my life. Now I won't -- at least not at Chinook. What a wonderful place."

"The food was fantastic, but the service left a lot to be desired. We had a reservation and weren't seated for 30-45 minutes after our reservation time. The hostesses were confused about my reservation, and kept giving contradictory information. Their excuse was that it was busy due to being 5280 restaurant week, but our table was empty from before our reservation time until we were seated. I understand not overloading waitstaff, but the restaurant was not full. Being that it WAS restaurant week and that they were aware of the amount of reservations that were booked, would've thought they would've staffed accordingly. After being seated, the waitstaff was courteous and friendly, but not terribly attentive."

"We wanted to like Chinook Tavern as our server was personable and seemed knowledgeable, and the decor and menu were appealing. However, after a delicious appetizer, it took forever for our overcooked entrees to arrive. There seemed to be major problems either between the wait staff or the wait staff and the kitchen. We also observed an adjacent table complaining about how long it took to be served. My husband had ordered one of the specials, and it was poorly prepared and dry and tough."

"I had never been to the restaurant and we went on Thursday night for restaurant week. I had never had schnitzel and it was awesome! My husband had steak and he said it was OK. I also had fried brie, and oh my that was so good! My entire meal was very, very good.
The drinks were a little pricey but probably not out of the norm. The restaurant was beautiful. It was a great evening and definitely worth restaurant week and I want to try it again soon!"

"Difficult to find the parking garage. Of the previous restaurants that we visited for 5280, this was the nicest atmosphere. You could have a conversation and hear the person at your table. I loved the bright eclectic art pieces. The fried brie was excellent. We both had the pork schnizel[sp?] which was tasty and the roasted vegetables were delicious, but not much food if you look at the original prices. The apple strudel was delicious, and the other two desserts looked tempting also. The weeknight service was very good, and I like a brighter dining atmosphere (I like to see what I'm eating)"

"This was our first time at Chinook. We were recommended by a colleague at work. I am glad we took her advise. I took my wife there and had a wonderful time. "We really enjoy the fact that this room is quiet and the tables are spaced appropriately. It is a relaxing and lovely dining experience as the ambiance is attractive and the service friendly and knowledgeable. The food was fine, though nothing I would go back for."

"The food was very good but was shadowed by the terrible service. Shawn, our waiter took 10 to 15 minutes after we sat down, just to take our drink order. It was another 10 minutes to get our drinks, then 10 min to get our appetizers...and so on. when we finished our drinks, he took away our glasses without ever asking if we wanted another. I have eaten out a lot but rarely do I come across this kind of terrible service. Too bad. I might have gone back if it wasnt for that."

"5280 weekend dinner; many empty tables;were there 2.75 hours!!! After being seated, had to go find a manager as no one ever came to our table, not even to pour water or acknowledge we were there! Waiter Shawn had what appeared to be dishonest excuses for everything, even tried to overcharge for our wine. We were please with the food, however had to wait 45 minutes for desserts which we plated earlier that day; waiter never poured more water, wine, or asked if we wanted second glasses of wine. Did not offer coffee or port with dessert; There is a reason we don't leave downtown or Cherry Creek for a nice dinner!"

"We had a wonderful experience and really enjoyed the food. It was fabulous. The only bad thing is we liked everything so much it will be difficult to want to try something else! Ha! It was truly yummy! Our server, Tina was the best server we've had in years, and we eat out a lot! Some servers treat the customer with disappointment when you order the 5280 menu. Tin did not. She was proud of what she was serving and she appreciated our business. Thank you, Tina!"

"The hostess was polite and seated us immediately even though we were early for our reservation.
Our server (Tina) was professional, friendly and helpful with questions. My wife tries to eat sugar and gluten free and the server was able to help select options from the menu.
All three courses of our meal were wonderful, beautifully presented, and outstandingly flavorful.
The restaraunt itself is beautifully laid out with tables and booths, numerous private rooms for groups and a beautiful bar area.
The menu is reasonably priced for boththe quality of fod and service. Truely a marvelous experience."

"The waiter only came by our table once to greet us, then never came back again. We had to go get the manager to get service at our table. A server spilt a pitcher of water by our table on the floor and some splashed up on my friend. He never came by to clean it up. After a while, we had to go get the manager for fear someone was going to slip and fall. We were a group of 4 people and most ordered the chicken piccata....it was not prepared properly, small chicken breast not pounded down and sparse vegetables, 2 fingerling potatoes cut in half. Afer waiting for about 30 mins after finishing our meals, we had to flag someone down for our check. Over priced for what you get and the service is lacking. Probably will not be back."
