Spinnakers Gastro Brewpub
Spinnakers Gastro Brewpub is Canadas oldest licensed brewpub, one of the pioneers of North America's craft brewing renaissance. Spinnakers features an array of house brew with typically 10 or more styles on tap and another 3 available in cask form with a daily hoppy hour cask special, Monday to Friday at 4PM. Spinnakers food is Farm to Table focusing on artisan growers and producers. The menus change weekly as seasonal products become available. Check our website for current menu offerings. We also offer a gluten free menu and have many vegetarian options. We feature the bounty of Southern Vancouver Island. Our seafood is always Oceanwise and meats and poultry are all ethically farmed and processed. Our wine list reflects our regional focus and provides international benchmarks to compliment the styles. "Apparently they ended up deliciously on a thin crust pizza at Spinnakers Brewpub!!! i am not a fan of "thin" crust pizza and there are only one or two I don't mind. Spinnakers' 3 little pigs pizza I actually look forward to. Of course then there is the Hefeweizen beer ... unfortunately they had run out but it wasn't a deal breaker ... After a little consultation and taste samples, a suitable replacement was found ... I forget the name and can't find it on the online menu, but it was a melon blend beer ... very nice!"

"We had a group of 8 and even though I didn't get my first choice the food was good. Unfortunately our waitress must have been having a bad night. She was quite rude to the birthday boy and brought no personality to the table. Her mood almost ruined the night."

"THe resrvation system worked perfectly including notification of a birthday which waas acknowledged whemn we arrived. The service was very cgood. THe food for all was fantastic. I would definately return. LOcation is excellent and on-site parking, sometimes a problem in Victoria is appreciated."

"I find it beyond absurd that you are unable to split pitcher to multiple persons' bills on request. It takes literally 15 seconds to complete this task, and a waitress refusing to or beyond unable to do this reflects poorly from any perspective. Fix this annoying peculiarity and you will have a wondrous establishment."

"It was our first time there and the food and service were both very good. I loved the fact that almost everything on the menu is locally sourced, and the open concept kitchen was a joy for my son to watch. We would definetly eat there again, and tell anyvisitors about it aswell."

"We visit your Pub often however this is the first review I have written. In general we love coming to your place due to friendliness, atmosphere and the great view however on the last two occasions have found the service very slow. We waited a good 40 mins. for our meal. The waiters are fairly attentive put appear rushed off their feet.
We were also disappointed to find that you were out of your pub stout beer on one of our visits. We absolutely love your pot pie - a real winner. The crust and is moist, flaky and melt in your mouth good. We also love your Americano's.
We find the price on the high side for pub food- $18 for halibut burger and small salad. $50 for two for lunch. No HST will definitely make a difference."

"We booked for Easter lunch. The website indicated there would be some Easter special menu items and we were somewhat disappointed when we arrived, there were no real "Easter" items. It was really just another lunch menu. What we did order was very good, however."

"During our visit back to Victoria (we lived near Sooke for several years prior to 2005) we got together with old friends from our Sooke days for a meal at Spinnakers. Great location right on the water and attentive and helpful service from the friendly staff. Best of all, a very enjoyable food experience for all of us -- everyone was delighted with their meal -- we especially loved sampling the beers available with one of the diner's menu choices -- and personally, my Oysters Kilpatrick were the best I've had in years! Great evening!"

"One of the great places to eat in Victoria, unique and full of character. The food at my last visit was delicious. Drinks were Scottish Ale and a Mojito with berries; appetizers Beer and Cheese Pot, and Meatballs; entrees Steak Frites with their Kennebec Fries, and Bangers with pickled cabbage; dessert was Flourless Chocolate Cake, and Housemade English Toffee Ice Cream. The service was attentive, prices reasonable, but reserve ahead."
