"Our third visit and we had a great meal. Arrived at 8:30 for our 8:45 reservation-- They allowed us to go sit in the lounge (next to the DJ) and we had a few drinks. Finally sat down around 930 and did not leave until 1230!! They did not push us out and we will return. Excellent menu and they even had a few specials available.

"Nice meal. We were disappointed that their business was slow on a Thursday night. We were hoping for a little more of a lively scene. Apps were fair with Crab Cake (mostly breading) and lobster Cocktail (not too sweet). Tuna Tartare was good. Dessert was good with Cheese cake and a creative banana cake."

"Excellent food and the ambiance is great located in the Dream Hotel Downtown, in the heart of Meat Packing District. If you go, the one appetizer that must be ordered is the 24hr rib. It is heavenly. I would recommend to anyone wanting great food in a nice trendy location with amazing music and energetic vibe to come to Marble Lane for dinner and have a wonderful time."

"It was the worst dinning experience Ive ever had in the city. It took 1.5h to get our table and another 40min to get our food. Had a reservation at 9pm and got seated at 10:30pm. After another 40 min the food came out and had a poor finish to it. Our server first forgot our wine, then didnt let us taste it before serving it. Second bottle of wine went straight into the glasses used for the first wine. They dropped 2 plates on the floor next to our table and to top it off a piece of their ceiling feel down more than 20feet and smashed into the floor next to our table. Ive NEVER had a worse experience in NY."

"We started off w/ the 1/2 dozen oysters which were amazing. Then we split the pepper crusted filet and salmon with dill sauce. Absolutley outstanding. We also indulged in a side of triple cream mashed potatoes. Amazing! Seriousy a wonderful dinner. Everything was prepared perfectly. waiter was incredibly helpful and accomadating."

We were told by bouncers that a reserved table at the weekend requires a minimum $1.500 bar bill - who said the economy was in trouble, Barack?? Sadly, there is an obscene/sad aspect to all of this..."

"Cool, swanky - definitely a top notch ambiance. Food was good - nothing over the top, but I'd definitely go back. I actually can't even remember what all I ate - so couldn't have been life changing, but i definitely enjoyed it. The host was very friendly as well as the bar tenders. The waitstaff could have been more attentive. I found myself pouring my own champagne often and plenty of servers chatting in the corners...
Bottom line, this place is cool, it's enjoyable, and I will return. You should go too."

"The service was fantastic. The food was good. Decor was somewhat outdated. The restaurant is in a 4-star hotel and we were hoping for a more sophisticated experience on Valentine's day but the restaurant definitely had more of an out-of-town, touristy, transient vibe which was disappointing. It had all the trappings of what would make it a great adventure but more of a "good on paper" experience. For instance, there was a DJ...volume was not loud but the music failed to connect with the entire dining experience. And as chefs, we noticed there was no cohesiveness to the menu. Picky, I know, but it's the little things that count."

"Had a wonderful night out with friends at Marble Lane. The food was fantastic; I ordered chicken (something I would normally never do at a steak house) and it was spectacular. The service was helpful and friendly without being overbearing. The atmosphere was perfect for meeting a group of friends - place was vibrant but we were able to talk without problem. "I have never wrote a review on here because I have yet to have a horrible and inedible meal in NYC and I have lived here for 15 years. This was horrible. Not only was the server completely inexperienced (had to check with chef about 4 times abou ingredients and then when we had to order something else from apps, he stole them from another server about to give them to a table), but the food was borderline inedible. I ordered the skirt steak, sauteed spinach and mashed potatoes the salt content was so high, I could barely get it down. We asked them to take away the salt in potatoes and it was only a tiny bit better. Dessert may have been the best part of the meal, but the fried apple ring was way too large and over the top and overly fried."

"While the food and space were exceptional, I have never had worse service. Our waitress was extemeley disinterested in our needs or requests. We had to get up out of our seats to seeks help or utinsels more than once in the corse of brunch! She was great at disappearing and ignoring us but not much more. Its a shame that a place that invested so much time and money creating a beautiful setting would care so little about service."

The only complaint I have is the wine list. It is very small and VERY expensive. I don't recall seeing any bottles costing under $68. That is a turnoff especially if you like wine and like to try several different bottles during the course of dinner.

"This place was an overpriced tourist trap for restaurant week. Food was just ok but not worth the premium prices. The hotel lobby was beautiful but there was no real separation from the lobby to the restaurant, which killed the ambiance. I was very excited to try this we restaurant in a cool neighborhood, but was sadly extremely underwhelmed."

"I had always wanted to try this place but it was always a little out of my price range. We went for restaurant week though and it was fantastic! Don't even bother getting anything aside from the steak because it was cooked perfectly and the sauce was fantastic. The crab cake app was great as well, not too much cake. And it was refreshing to finish off with a lot of fresh fruit. The cocktail was ok, I love sweet drinks but this was way too sweet even for me. "The parts of the meal we ordered which actually arrived at the table were very tasty. We ordered 4 sides with our meal, they forgot about them, then 3 of them finally arrived we backed them into a 'on the house' gesture which was oddly not forthcoming earlier. The fourth side never appeared.
Admittedly they said it was our waiter's first day; unsure if true or not. I would not return given the choice in NYC, but wouldn't be terribly upset if I had to return."

"This restaurant is located in a hotel. You should be hungry before you go because they give you a lot of food. The appetizer alone filled me up. They served a large bowl of tomato bisque with three cheese toasties. The Kobe beef sandwich was very good. My only complaint is the french fries. They were not crispy and they were on the dry side. Dessert was also excellent. The Gelato was very nice and the Cheese Cake was great."

"Went for restaurant week...had mixed feelings about it. Dinner was ok...the tuna tartare starter was very good. The chicken entree was a bit salty...could have been the sauce reduction on the spaetzle. My companion had the steak (6 oz), which came with nothing else on the plate...I guess that was an opportunity for the waiter to upsell a side item on the menu...which seems really lame for restaurant week...since the menu is supposed to be $38. Don't put steak on the menu if it's too expensive....a small potato and a sprig of broccoli would have been a nice show of good faith. The rocky road desert was very good. Overall it was just ok. Glad I tried it, but probably would not go back...."

"The only reason I would come back would be because of the food and the waiter we had at our table.
When we arrived we were told to wait at the bar for our table as we were a bit early for our 9:30 reservation. However the bartender was extremely rude. When one of the people in our group asked a question about a drink, he laughed out loud like it was the most stupid question he had ever heard.
Furthermore we were only seated at our table at 10 PM, even if our reservation was for 9:30. We had to ask the hostess twice what was going on and no excuses were offered."
