Cebu Bar & Bistro
The Bistro, as an institution emerged in the 19th Century as an eating and drinking place accessible to the working man/woman. The cooking was simple but flavorful, the portions copious, the wine modest but abundant and customers and waiters were on first name basis. Cebu features an eclectic take on the usual bistro fare. Offering up "home style" cooking set in a cozy atmosphere.

"This was my second visit, though the first time was an anomaly noise-wise.The food and service were good. Our table was too close to the kitchen, and a tremendous amount of noise emanated. As our meal progressed, hoards of young singles, mostly female, arrived, and we realized this place is predominately a bar scene. There are several rooms, all with bars! The din increased over the course of our meal. I would not go back. If you're in your 20s-30s and are looking to drink and meet, it's for you. If you want a good, quiet dinner, eat somewhere else!"

"I went with friends and their 18 month old for brunch on Saturday and as always it was great. The Bloody Mary's were spicy, the food was hot, and the service was attentive but not overly so. I had requested a high chair that was already at the table for us when we got there. I was glad to have a successful outing with baby in tow and happy parents to boot!"

"Went for Sunday brunch. My french toast was great! The servers were attentive, but not overly so. Definitely would go back for brunch. Have a feeling the bar gets pretty busy at night. By the time I left at 2:30, there wasn't one open seat at thr bar."

"A little loud, food was ok (nothing I'd mention to friends about).. I had the tuna appetizer, a little fishy. I've actually never had a Tuna Appetizer that smelled fishy and thats something i eat frequently. Many had the sea bass, was ok but not sure it was fresh.... The purée it was sitting on was not something I really cared for.. The Creme Brûlée for dessert was a treat though. Very creamy. Bar scene was lively. If you want to hit a bar scene check it out."
