"I took my mother and Abuelita (grandmother) here for brunch on Mother's day and it was great! They both still talk about how delicious the food was and how great of a time they had. We are planning on going back for dinner since we heard the dinner food is great as well. I would make sure to make reservations since its a small dining area and it fills up quickly!"

"We had a delicious Mexican brunch for Mother's Day. Acitron is a lovely restaurant, with friendly and attentive waitstaff, good food (including the requisite chocolate chip pancakes for kids), nice ambience. We'd been there before for dinner, found it to be a bit overpriced; not so for brunch. Will go back for same."

"We enjoyed our food and drinks and the staff was great. We went on Mothers Day and there was a musician with a guitar who played some fun and romantic spanish music. Overall we had an enjoyable experience."

"Admittedly, I am not very familiar with authentic Mexican cuisine, but to me this would be one of my highest standards for the "real deal"! The chef obviously takes his duties very seriously and does not underestimate his clients. We loved the nuances in the mole sauce and enchiladas and my girls loved the chile verde and soft tacos! We will return!"

"Food was very good-their salmon and steak dishes are excellent. I don't like food very spicy, and they were very helpful in guiding me to dishes I would like. Food is nicely presented. It was bit noisy, but it was a Saturday night."

"Great margaritas and warm atmosphere, with delicious chips, salsa, and guacamole. Entrees offer the cuisine of northern Mexico and more traditional fare."

"We enjoyed Acitron; I think my husband liked it more than I did. I found the carne asada to be a little on the bland side. The guacamole appetizer we had was delicious; the salsa that came with the chips they handed us shortly after we sat down was spicier than my taste, but I freely admit that I am not a huge fan of spicy. We both enjoyed the sangria very much. We tried the Mexican bread pudding for dessert, and other than being served a teensy bit hotter than seemed necessary, it was really delightful. Full of interesting flavors I couldn't quite place (maybe clove?), but very very good, and unusual. The service was maybe a little on the slow side, but attentive, and we weren't in a rush. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful."

"We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. We were expecting the usual Mexican fare (IE - tacos and enchiladas-ho hum) but instead found the entree and app. selection to be creative and more upscale than typical. We went on a Saturday night and thankfully made reservations because the place was packed. We did have to wait a bit to be seated - we had a reservation for 7 and weren't seated till 7:20 ish and there really wasn't anywhere to wait so were stood in the entry way. The service was friendly and efficient. Overall it was a good experience and we will go baCK."

"We came to celebrate our son's birthday and another son's great finish in the Boston Marathon. The food was delish, FLAVOR, was my main impression. This is not taco bell or chipotle, it is real mexican food! Great margarita's,and an amazing tequila list. They even helped us sing Happy Birthday!"

"Great margaritas, great guacamole, creative meals. The tables are a little packed in there, so not all that great for an intimate dinner, but great for an evening out with friends!"

"The food was great. Our server was friendly, smart, and helpful. They need some blinds for the windows, the sun was blinding. The tables are a little close."

"Small busy restaurant. Excellent food but could use more staff. Reasonably priced for the quality. Great guacamole. Very glad we made a reservation because it was packed!"

"This was my first visit to Acitron, which features sophisticated Mexican cuisine.Really enjoyed the guacamole app and the shrimp taco special. The waiter brought out a sample of the taco sauce so we could taste it before ordering. Friends liked the margaritas, which were fairly strong (wide selection here). Dulce de Leche ice cream was a great end to the meal.As we ate early on a Sunday night it was hard to judge noise levels. A welcome addition to Arlington Center. I would go back!"

"The food at Acitron seemed very authentic, and everything we had was fantastic. A picky friend even said the salsa (pico de gallo) was the best she had ever had at a restaurant! Our server was very nice, appropriately attentive and really helpful. While the decor didn't feel warm, or embracing, or even fun, it wasn't a turn-off - it just wouldn't be a place I'd go if I was focusing on the ambiance vs. the food. I would definitely go there again, if I were over in the Arlington area."

"We have been here twice recently and both times enjoyed it very much. The food is very good and so is the service. We have not been there on a busy night and can see that it might be noisy when crowded."

"We were seated quickly. After that it was down hill. Poor service from the wait staff. After an hour the hostess came over and offered to check on our meal but never came back with an answer. We needed to call her over to find out what was happening. I don't blame the waitress for the slow kitchen service but I do blame her and the hostess for not being more attentive and informative of what was going on. The food tasted plain. The chicken mole was drenched in chocolate and very unappetizing."

"Great food, and extremely friendly and attentive service. We were recently in New Mexico, and Acitron had some of the same dishes on the menu as we had at an excellent Mexican restaurant in Taos, and Acitron's food compared favorably."

"We went on a quiet night, so not many patrons. The menu and presentation were really quite spectacular -- this is not your neighborhood taco bar (think Tu Y Yo with more space and better parking). We felt that the flavors were not as sharp and clear as we might have liked -- the mole, which was quite nice and offered a mix of subtle flavors, might have had just a bit more tang. Overall a fine experience."

"We really enjoyed our night out at Acitron. Great food, great drinks, and friendly service. We especially enjoyed the appetizers (sopas and guacamole) and margaritas! We went with a group of six people and it worked really well. They were very accommodating and the fact that it is not too noisy made conversation possible. We will definitely add it to our list of places to go back to. In fact, after looking over their brunch menu, I have added to my list of Must Try Brunch Spots. Always good to have another one of those!"

"Very mediocre old style Mexican food. Heavy, no finesse . 1bar tender for bar and entire restaurant made drinks come out extremely slowly. Margaritas were all ice. When asked for one with no ice they gave my husband a TINY one. It was embarrassing . Good if you dont feel like going to one of the much better options in Boston."

"Food was absolutely amazing. I haven't had enjoyed Mexican cuisine this much since I lived in Mexico City many years ago. The service is outstanding. Every dish we ordered was excellent. The restaurant was rather quiet the night that my family and I went, but my oldest daughter has been there on a weekend night when the entire dining room was filled. A must try for dessert is the chocolate tamal served with ice cream and whipped cream. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Acitron Cocina Mexicana and cannot wait to return!"
