Marsilio’s Kitchen is the latest creation of Alan Meinster, owner of Marsilio’s Catering and Event Planning. Meinster is best known for the personal dining experience he and his team of chefs provided at Marsilio’s Restaurant in Chambersburg, NJ from 1986 to 2007.
The newly named “Kitchen” honors the original Marsilio’s Kitchen established in 1951. It offers an eclectic Italian menu, balancing traditional Italian selections such as its popular chicken cacciatore dish, with the latest in culinary trends. The value driven menu features homemade dishes with fresh ingredients seasoned to perfection.
The Kitchen’s ambiance transports diners to the rolling hills of the Tuscan countryside, and highlights a family style Farm Table for 16. They also offer Theme Nights, a Private Dining Room for 100, Corporate Drop-off Catering and Curbside Take-Away. Whether it’s a first date or a casual dinner with the whole family, there is something for everyone!
"WE WENT FOR MOTHER'S DAY. THE RESTAURANT OFFERED A FULL MENU, NOT A SPECIAL LIMITED MENU AS OTHER RESTAURANTS OFFER FOR MOTHER'S DAY. THE FOOD AND SERVICE WAS GREAT. WE HAVE DINED AT MARSILIO'S KITCHEN MANY MANY TIMES AND WE ARE NEVER DISAPPOINTED!!! ALAN, CHEF/OWNER ALWAYS WALKS THROUGHT THE RESTAURANT TO GREET THE DINERS. HE ALWAYS MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE VISITING HIS HOME."

"Went there for an early dinner on 5/11/2013. From the moment we sat down, it was a perfect experience. The owner takes time to visit each table and the service is attentive without being intrusive. Food was perfect. We enjoyed the sausage appetizer (will get this regularly now) and everyone loved their entrees. I had a veal dish with mushrooms, it was delightful. Others had the filet with bernaise sauce, which I tasted, it was tender and delish. I had the Canoli Sundae for a treat, and the pistachio gelato was delicious. We will be returning soon for my birthday! Loved it and looking forward to making this a "usual" place for us."

"The food is very good and portion size is on the large size. Four of us had dinner and all took home leftovers. Our service was a little slow due to the waiter having a table of 8 he needed to deal with. The table size needs some improvement or they need to take off some of the table items as there was very little room when appetizers, bread and out wine bucket was put on the table. While this table was for four, it really would have been a better table for 2 or 3 people. Overall I would still recommend a visit to Marsilios's Kitchen."

"We used to dine at the Marsiello's in Trenton and weren't aware they had opened this location in Ewing. The atmosphere was warm yet nice. My husband had the chicken cacciatore and I had veal parm. Both were delicious. We will definitely be returning."

"Marsilios was a classic Italian restaurant in the Chambersburg section of Trenton when that area offered the best dining in the Delaware Valley. Now located in nearby Ewing, this version of Marsilios is a pleasant reminder of the past. It still offers very good Italian food at moderate prices. The menu thoughtfully marks the original Chambersburg recipies for those of us who yearn for the days when there was excellent dining on every block in the Burg."

"We have eaten a lot in places like NYC...some of the best places in the world. Marsilio's is right up there with them. All four of us had meals that were superb. It could not be better. I would highly recommend Marsilio's to anyone who wants a fine dining experience."

"We were there for Easter and it was very nice. The Veal Saltimboco was terrific and my wife had the Filet Mignon which was outstanding. We will be back soon."

"Marsilios is a nice restaurant, have been there several times and have found the food is just lacking something. Chicken Catch is just not the same as it used to be. Have heard they changed chefs and maybe that's the reason."

"Friendly service and fun, homey atmosphere. Traditional Italian food in big portions. Lots of cream and/or meat in most dishes. The food is okay, not excellent."

"The owner/chef Alan, greeted us at the door as if we were coming to his home. He also saw us out the door when we were leaving. He continually asked if everything was to our liking. We have dined at Marsilios Kitchen several times and have never been disappointed."

"This was our second visit to Marsilios and we enjoyed it both times. Benjamin, our waiter again, is wonderful. Attentive and knowledgable.
The artichoke hearts appetizer is amazing and generous. So is the chopped antipasto salad (enough for two). The dinner salads are scrumptious. The crispy salmon was very good as was the stuffed flounder with shrimp and crab. The shrimp were large delicious shrimp and there were lumps of crab meat. I forgot there was a pink cream sauce, which many people like, but once again they were generous and I found it overwhelmed the dish a bit.
Our friends had pasta alfredo with sausage (liked it) and a veal chop (the only disappointment as it had too much gristle).
We will go again."

"When we arrived we were seated right away. Noise level was very quite but this was a Tuesday night. Food was excellent and hot. We took our time eating without feeling we had to leave in an hour. The only thing I thought our pinot grigio should have been colder."

"Staff was very friendly, food was excellent, enjoyed Unionville Pinot Noir, wish I had room for dessert (which looked delicious) but I was too full to partake. Had been to Marsilio's in Trenton, but this was the first time we went to Ewing--will definitely go again."

"My family of four visited this restaurant after reading the reviews on Open Table. We wanted a place near TCNJ, my daughter's school. Our manicotti, gnocchi, and salmon dishes were delicious, and I especially enjoyed the beet salad, but the "crispy" calamari were not crispy. They were somewhat soggy and bland. The outside of the restaurant does not look very inviting, as it appeared completely closed and locked up with parking in the rear. However, the inside is extremely warm and inviting. We would definitely visit it again."

"Prior to last Sunday evening, we had dinner at Marsilio's three or four times and loved it. What happened this time? The special oysters of the evening were blah and the calamari was not crispy. In the entree' zone, the stuffed fish was soft and mushy...two people had that. The other three adults were satisfied with their entrées."

"Went for lunch with a colleague from out-of-state. I had the tilapia francaise; he ordered the chicken cacciatore. Both meals were very well done both in presentation and in taste. Service was attentive and polite. The main dining room was nearly full on a rainy Tuesday though staff had no problem addressing the demand. My colleague was so pleased with the experience he has already planned to bring his wife to Marsilio's in the near future."
