Over the past 3 years in our new location, Trattoria Timone has established itself as one of the most exciting new restaurants in the Oakville and Mississauga area. We are located at the AMC Theatre Plaza - 2091 Winston Park Drive, directly beside the AMC Theatre, and Dirty Martini. Trattoria Timone’s authentic Italian cuisine is attributed to the kitchen staff’s experience and passion in the culinary field, led directly by Michel Fronteddu, Head Chef for 22 years and Owner since 2002 . Chef Michel and his team of professionals base their success to making everything on site, while only using the freshest ingredients available. Hand -rolling gnocchi, churning gelato, and growing our own organic herbs, are only a few examples of the quality and dedication that sets Trattoria Timone apart from chain restaurants. Our menu has been extended to include a greater variety of regional Italian dishes, along with a wonderful selection of seafood, and oysters from the Rodney’s Oyster House.

"We were a group of 8 adults-put in a secluded room with a party of 30+ celebrating a family birthday. The noise was such we could not hear across our table for much of the time. The service was attentive, polite, quick-the food excellent-the dessert cake memorable for generous size, good sauce. I would visit again, but only with a small group so as to be in the main area-which seemed reasonably quiet."

"My main was an Angus Beef flank. Literally just a 6 oz medium rare on a bed of arugula. It didn't look like much, but WOW it tasted incredible!
I highly suggest you have the Stick toffee pudding for dessert. Definitely a yummy treat that was beyond our expectations.
Rating a 4 because the pasta special left a lot to be desired. We also had to wait 15 minutes despite having made a reservation. Nothing complimentary was offered for the wait."

"We wanted something a little more up-scale to celebrate a birthday, and something close to home. I'd heard about Trattoria Timone and thought this would be a good time to try. We were absolutely delighted by the food, the service, the decor, the general feel of the place and we will definitely be going back! It is elegant but not stuffy -- a real gem!"

"Went for 40 birthday celebrations with girlfriends later in the evening for drinks and appetizers. Sat at a table at the back so it was more private and stayed until we closed down the restaurant, much later than the closing time (10:30pm). Left at midnight but we were never bothered by the waiters to leave. Had a great time."

"Having been there a number of times and loved it, we were disappointed when 2 of our group ordered the seafood lasagna and the shrimp, scallops and lobster were dreadfully overcooked. Let's hope it was just a bad night. The grilled calamari was perfectly cooked, the Caesar salad cold and crisp and perfectly dressed with a nice garlicky dressing. The crab cake was tasty and a generous serving. The duck was delicious."

"Extremely overpriced (both food and wine). The visit was for a supper club for a Probus Club - just one with about 9 supper clubs. Never mind the connections with all the other Probus Groups. Restaurant didn't seem to be capable of dealing with a larger (approx. 12) group. The consensus was pretty much "not going back/recommending". A shame as these people dine out a lot and money isn't an object. As far as selecting Special Features - Scenic View - the restaurant is in the middle of a complex of a theatre, other restaurants, is difficult to find and has poor parking."

"We had the worse experience ever at Trattoria Timone WOULD NOT recommend to others. We made reservations to celebrate a 50th birthday and ended up leaving without finishing our starter salads. Poor taste in food and when we asked for a manager to come to the table we waited over 10 minutes after paying for the starters and wine and a manager did not even call it was another server. The next day I called in to speak with a manager and I was told that the owner would call me back when he was in and did not receive a call back as promised."

"Food was not up to par for fine dining. Appetizer was good. Entree stone baked pizzas were below average, pizza hit makes better pizza. The desert, gelato was by far the best. The cocktails were also great. The ambience and music was great and so was the service! Although we would not return due to the quality of the food :( disappointing!"

"One of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time. We had a table near the back, which I recommend especially on weekends when it can be busy in there. But service is fantastic and food to die for. I have been to more expensive restaurants and the food doesnt even come close. Great alextion too, for all types, including veggies. "This time my seafood salad was awful. I noticed smaller portions,but the costs increased from $18 to $26 ( lunch menu). This time my salad was not so good- overgrilled calmari,shrimps. Also my salad was cold. I remember the times when the salad was so good and portions were bigger. Very nice staff. I booked my table thru open table website and I asked for a window table and they put me in the middle of the restaurant. It happened twice.
I loved going to that restaurant but recently I noticed that food is not so good, smaller portions, but the costs increased."

"Trattoria Timone's is fine dining at it's finest! The atmosphere was light. Our dinner felt private, we didn't feel too close to neighboring tables and most importantly the food and service was excellent! For a party of seven, our meals were served within 15 seconds of each other.
I had the warm goat cheese salad, which I highly recommend and the grilled beef tenderloin with wild mushroom and marsala sauce, just amazing.
What is unique about this restaurant is the gourmet pizzas done in the brick oven. The pizza chef is worth watching in action.
Overall it is bigger than what one would expect. Don't hesitate to try this restaurant. We drove an hour to dine there and would go back in an instant!

"The portions were very tiny, service was bad. Had to ask the server for our bread half way through our meal since it was never delivered, we were not greeted for over10 mins. Did not get water in our glasses until our dinner arrived. Not what I expected from such a highly recommended restaurant. Would not go back. The saving grace to our valentines night was going to Demetrees desserts across the street after."

"We booked the restaurant for Valentine's Day and the restaurant was packed and did not have enough staff working for that evening. It took about 20 minutes for us to get our waiter to come and take our order for drinks and dinner.Once we were done it took about 20 minutes after we finished to clear the dishes. There was 1 person who was clearing tables and resetting, need to have more people than that on one of the busiest nights for themThe music was on a constant song and played Adelle's Rolling in the Deep for 4 times in a row before we had to advise to change the musicOverall great restaurat just don't go on Valentine's Day as too busy and too noisy"

"It's little things that make the difference between an ok experience and a memorable one. I found it unprofessional and rather unwelcoming to see all the staff cell phones, personal beverages and a dead flower arrangement as I entered and approached the hostess stand. (dead flowers on a packed Saturday night?)
Our apps were good, particularly the grilled calamari which was very tender. My pasta was ok - the sauce was rather stogy and the bison was overcooked, grisly bits of meat of varied sizes - yuck. Dessert was an overcooked and rather tiny piece of housemade cheesecake.
I find that the waiters have a bad habit of "dumping" wine perhaps in the hope we will order a 2nd bottle?
I have had better here, they need to step it up."
