"Dinner was fresh, innovative, and delicious! The atmosphere was changes colors ever so slightly. Very neat in that the lights rotate colors. The bar was really cool and had a wall which separates the bar from the front area made of a bubble wall of different colors."

"Very friendly and attentive service. Restaurant a has a wider array of Japanese food than most type restaurants. If you want more traditional Japanese food it can be found here along with other non traditonal food entries. Floor managment is mostly Japanese in keeping with it's Japan roots."

"We had a wonderful experience at RanGetsu while trying a traditional Japanese dish that we were unfamiliar with prior to Sunday evening. The staff was super attentive as they explained the Yosenabe Pot tradition and carefully prepared the seafood and vegetables for four at our table. Every bite was a new delight!"

"Very good food, generous portions. Nice combination of sushi, appetizers, hot dishes make for great sharing. You can order "one of each" and throw it in the middle, or choose from their Bento dinner and enjoy a couple of things yourself. Sukiyaki is big enough for 2 with an appetizer or roll. Service is very accommodating, with managers offering to help us reload the hot pot every time we started doing it ourselves. Only thing that ruined our evening was a group towards the back with several loud kids. We heard their yelling at the other end of the place, especially when they started singing or sports chants. If your kids are like that, stay out of this kind of place at 8 on a Saturday night or have a ball at Golden Corral."

"Yes, the food was outstanding (soup, salad, Sukiyaki, & Sea Bass). Sure, the decor was interesting and trendy (check out the bar and washroom sink). But the service... it was the best I've ever had. We had the same server from the time we sat down outside for drinks, to inside for dinner, and back out on the patio for a nightcap. I've never experienced this before, and I like it. A very "high touch" approach."

"Cons: We had a 7:30 reservation made through Open Table when we arrived the Hostess said the kitchen was a bit backed up and gave us a pager. After fifteen minutes passed we asked if she could give us an estimated time of seating, her reply was it would be at least an hour (which it roughly was). I would recommend the Hostess to be up front and advise patrons when they arrive for a reservation of the length of wait.
Our server Johnathon was wonderful and redeemed the quality of service we felt was lacking up front. He gave fabulous recommendations and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal."

"From previous visits, I thought the food here was good and the decor slick. This time,I went on a busy, noisy Friday night and paid for part of our meal with (shudder) a voucher. Not sure if this was the reason for the slow service, or if (as our server, who insisted on calling us by our first names, claimed)the kitchen was just slammed. Anyway, at least 1/2 hour passed from the time our server took the order to when she came back and announced they were out of our appetizer (really? on a busy weekend they hadn't planned for enough to last past 8pm?) Well, my 2 free glasses of house wine (apparently aged on the truck) helped compensate,at least until the chicken skewer(only thing I ate that my friend didn't) hit my stomach later that night."

"The food was great, service was very good, and I love the decor. It is noisy, but we were able to converse (took some effort, though). Although it is a Japanese restaurant, the food selection is very diverse. My husband had the best barbequed ribs that we've had in a long time while I ate yummy sushi. We ordered some of the appetizers that were to be cooked tableside, and they weren't - so a menu change might be in order to fix that offering. The spicy edemame is a must try - serious yum!"

"The food was very good. We started with the and it w as overcooked but tasty. I didn't know it was that way until they accidentally brought another tables order out and it looked perfect in color. Then we had the scallops small plate. Nice but the traditional odd number of scallops for a couple sharing. Hate that. The sushi is fresh an taste great. Loved it. Service is not so great but the food makes up for it. 10% discount for residents of Village at Lake Lily."

"Best Seabass ever! Sukiyaki is out of this world. Get it with the raw egg. Sounds gross but so tasty! End with the GreenTea Brûlée. Best happy hour as well. $5 apps and drinks... Excellent sushi, calamari spicy edamame. Well worth a try!!"
