"My party of four arrived Saturday night to celebrate. The ladies in the group, vegetarians, requested a salad with no bacon. For religious reasons, they do not consume pork. Midway through consuming the salad, I spotted the bacon. They later complained of stomach pain since they were not accustomed to digesting pork. We also ordered the pesto fries. They arrived cold and stiff...it was unpalattable. I ordered the buffalo chicken flat bread and it was practically cold... In general the staff failed to execute and deliver a quality product."

"I love the variety on the menu (steak, seafood, salads and sushi) -- something to please everyone. Our service for a table of 5 was very good with a very attentive waiter. On two visits, our family has had salmon (the blackened salmon was way overcooked on the first visit so I asked for plain salmon and medium on the 2nd trip -- much better); rib-eye and sushi. Of all of these, we've liked the sushi the most. They have a happy hour from 3-7 and the outside dining has a beautiful view of Lake Eola. I'd give it 3 1/2 stars. It's a bit better than average, but I wouldn't go so far as saying 'very good.'"

"Terrible terrible terrible service. We made a reservation at 8pm for 4 people. They seated us quickly but the waiter never came. When he finally showed up he immediately asked "are you ready to order?" He didn't introduce himself, ask us if we wanted to drinks to start out with or anything. Then we had to ask for the wine menu and again it took him forever to even come back and take our wine order. Our food appetizer showed up and we didn't even have any silverware or plates to eat with. My husband ended up going to another table to just grab some plates and the wine decanter. Our entrees were good. Nothing great. For the price we should have received a lot better of service for this type of establishment. We will not be going back again."

"Great food, a little rough around the edges (party of 4 sat at a table for 8 because none of the numerous empty regular tables had been cleaned yet, mashed potatoes cold in the center, 1 order of dessert cookies burnt, the other perfect), and friendly service. I'd definitely go back, and the food taste and quality was superior, but some execution mistakes that did take away from the experience. Great view of Lake Eola, good atmosphere."

"I had had many friends rave about Spice, so one night after work a few coworkers and I headed downtown to celebrate a 25th birthday. We had requested an outdoor table and had placed in the notes we were celebrating a birthday. It was a Sunday night around 8:45pm, the place was empty. The servers were all busy cleaning a section which happened to be right next to our party, they were rather noises and quite distracting. The food was good quality, ordered the filet peppercorn crusted, steak was cooked perfect. Although it was a little spicier than I had anticipated per the waiter, but delicious nonetheless. The sides, or lack there of, was unexpected. I literally had 5 tiny chunks of potato and 3 broccoli clusters. Overall, average experience"

"Not really satisfied with my experience. Food was just ok, which for the price is a bit disappointing. The view is beautiful but even though I made reservations and specifically requested view of lake eola, there still was not a table outside available for us.
The pics shown on the website are nothing like the real dish. The menu is very limited and a lot of the items are pre made which does not allow the guest to make changes.
I not planning to visit the restaurant again or recommend it to other people. Overall disappointing experience."
