Lido’s menu is Northern Italian. The menu can be described as fresh, simple, and delicious. Flavors are layered so that each one stands out but does not compete with others in the dish.
The food is organic and local whenever possible and all poultry and meats are from farms that treat animals humanely.
The ambiance is modish but relaxed. We look forward to seeing you soon.
"I had an ok experience, but was informed they were out of lasagna and another patron came in after me and not only did he have lasagna, but his party had some as well. When i questioned my waiter he stated the lasagna was not settled and the patron did not mind. My issue was he informed me and my party they ran out of lasagna.. We were not told it was in the process of being made. All i wanted to do was go across the street to tavern."

"Lido,a lively neighborhood gem, is part of the "new" Harlem. It has a lovely casually chic ambience with outdoor tables and doors that open wide towards the outdoor area. While the food is ok italian ( nothing bad but nothing memorable) it is a great place to it , drink wine and watch the neighborhood change"

"I was slightly annoyed that when I came in and told the hostess that my friend was about 10 mins behind, I was told I wouldn't be seated even though the restaurant was NOT busy. I was told to go to the bar that had no seats and really no where to stand without being in the way of the wait staff. So I had to sit outside like the red haired step child. I got tired of standing in the cold and went to ask to be seated, promising that I did in fact have another person coming, I wasn't trying to horde a table to myself and wi"

"Came here after looking at the menu, which made my mouth water! The food did not disappoint. Delicious! Nice, hip Manhattan crowd but not pretentious hipster-y, just real people. Will definitely be back."

"The waiter was the worst we've ever had. He didn't offer the specials upon his arrival; no fresh napkins for your desert, at which he handed us our silverware instead of crumbing the table and placing it for us. He didn't offer a wine list. I had to ask for everything. He didn't tell us that there was a coat check, as we were crambed in a corner table of the booth area. We actually heard a waitress apologizing for his lack of customer service ettiquette to the party next to us. My date looked for the manager on our exit but there was no one at the host station. I normally leave a 20% tip, but do not believe in tipping well for poor service. I recommend:food but not the service. They're fairly new so I hope that they heed this feedback."

"I traveled from Brooklyn to meet a friend from Westchester for brunch and it was a great place to meet up. The food was delicious. Service was great. The crowd was eclectic and fun. Literally, the only criticism I could say was that it was a bit loud in the restaurant. But other than that, I would go back when I'm in Harlem again."

"great food - terrible service. Our waitress had no concept of time or sense really. She asked us for our order when we didn't have menus. And when we asked for a few more minutes to make a selection, she took that to mean 15 min. Food was good, cappuccino and tea was cold - didn't bother sending it back because it would have taken forever to return."

"Great service, lovely menu. We were seeing a friend's band play in the area and had no idea where to eat, so thanks to Yelpers for helping us pick Lido. Tried the ricotta and proscuitto appetizers, and then had the warm kale salad and the meatballs. Kale salad was really spectacular, which sounds silly considering all of those other delicious things. It was all really good. Only complain would be how close the tables are to each other, especially because we had the loudest family behind us. A grandpa dropping the c-word a few times sort of put a damper on date night. Still, I was in the area again, I'd definitely go back."

"I love this place and their brunch is fantastic. The poached eggs with polenta is amazing - and even simple dishes like the side of grilled bread with jam are delicious. Lido is a great addition to this neighborhood - and I love that they take reservations for Brunch, which is hard to find in this city.
The only drawback is the noise level - I feel like any time I bring friends/family here it's hard to converse over our meal. I think one of the problems may be too many tables in the size space they have (by the end of the meal it was getting crowded and the waitress had to squeeze around chairs to get to us) - or it could just be that there's a lively crowd at the bar.
But it's worth it for the food."

"I just love Lido. Great for any meal - brunch, lunch or dinner. Terrific service and a cool friendly vibe. I am a regular with no plans to change. Eat the marcapone polenta and smile from ear to ear. But then everything is yummy. Truly!"

"Lido is one of my local favorites in South Harlem. It's truly one of the better places on Harlem's "restaurant row". The staff are all friendly and attentive, and the food and wine are first rate. I always have a great time here."

"Waiters could better explain menu especially to senior citizens who accompanied me for a 90th birthday celebration. Food was quite good but entree selections misundetrstood by the older members from our group who needed a bit more coaching/explaining from our waiter. Otherwise, great!"

"Lido is our neighborhood go-to gem for food, drinks, and friends. Kwame is the best bartender around and the rest of the staff are always friendly and accommodating. The food is top-notch and the spicy jalapeno-infused cocktail is insanely good. Beautiful interiors and smart plating."

"The restaurant has a warm atmosphere. I ordered Pumpkin Ravioli and the Sautéed Cauliflower. My date ordered the Gnocchi with Guanciale and the Crab Cake. Both of us were very satisfied with the flavor and presentation of the dishes. Once we were done eating no one checked with us to see how we were doing or to offer a dessert menu for over 30 minutes while these courtesies were extended to all the tables surrounding us. After 30 minutes my date said we'll give it 5 more minutes and if no one checks on us we'll flag down a waiter. We brought the lack of service to the waiter's attention but instead of an apology got an attitude from the waiter. I asked to speak to the manager. She apologized profusely and gave us a discount on the check."

"I have been to Lido 5 or 6 times with my wife, family, and friends. I have had both their brunch and dinner menus and have never been disappointed. Their food is delicious, well prepared and presented. Their service is friendly and accommodating to families with kids, such as mine. The vibe is laid back with a diverse crowd that is just there to have a good time. I definitely recommend Lido as one of the better restaurants to go to in Harlem."

"Wonderful meal. Delicious burrata, goat cheese panini w pickled onions and roasted beets, and fabulous desserts (tried crepe, budino, and pumpkin cheesecake)
Nice neighborhood, well decorated, not crammed together, attentive service. Only complaint was a little loud, had to strain at times to hear brunch companions.
Will definitely return."

"Bright and buzzy on a bitterly cold Saturday night. All dishes sampled...and we both had three [different] courses...were well executed with generally strong flavors and really high quality ingredients from a menu that balances unusual, regionally inspired dishes with the more familiar. Service was adequate but a little cool and distracted and the meal felt a little rushed. Barely put last forkful to mouth before the next course appeared. Small but interesting and well priced wine list."

"As always, excellent from start to finish. I like that they change the menu to offer seasonal fare. The red snapper with golden raisins, pine nuts and roasted cauliflower was super, and they had a lovely Riesling that was a perfect match."
