GOLD COAST BISTRO & BAR
Enjoy American classics and homemade Greek specialties at the Gold Coast Bistro & Bar, located at the corner of Park & Clement Streets in Alameda's historic Park Street District since 1992. Open every day for dinner, they offer a variety of grilled-to-perfection steaks, Greek dishes, fresh seafood, pastas and roasted Rack of Lamb. Lighter appetites can grab a seat in our comfortable bar area and order from our unique "taverna" menu with tapas-sized dishes ~ a great place to relax and catch the ball game! In addition to a full bar, the Gold Coast offers a well-thought out wine list to complement the menu.
As we are the preferred caterer for the Alameda Elks Lodge, we are able to utilize their facilities to provide full catering service for up to 400 people.

"It was my third time at Gold Coast Grill and it's back to a 5 rating. We had a very pleasant and attentive waiter. My husband had a martini (excellent) and a smoked salmon appetizer which he loved. I enjoyed a Greek salad as a starter. He had their signature dish - rack of lamb - which he said was one of the best he'd ever tasted (high praise). I had the special halibut which was also excellent. It was fresh and cooked to perfection. Tom had a Greek dessert in filo pastry that we couldn't pronounce, but he loved it. I had written down in Open Table special instructions that it was his birthday, so the wait staff came and sang to him (nice voices by the way) and put a candle in his dessert. Very classy!"

"Gold Coast Grill is one of my favorite Alameda restaurants. It's great for aa special occasion but comfortable enough to take the family. There is something on the menu for everyone. My personal favorite is the Shrimp Scampi!"

"A neighborhood favorite; almost everyone in the restaurant was obviously a frequent diner--all kissed the host and were greeted as old friends. This restaurant is for the "older set", though the bar was well patronized, obviously just a comfortable place to dine out."

"This restaurant continually provides tasty well prepared food. Some Greek dishes too! Attentive wait staff and owners who are always there. This time they accommodated a special request I had for a person in our party who wished corned beef the day before St Patrick's Day."

"The Gold Coast is one of the best restaurants in Alameda. We dined here again on Friday evening. The service was impeccable and the food excellent. There Specials Menu is impressive but we ordered the braised lamb shanks off the regular menu and they were delicious!! Friday nights is also enjoyable for the live piano. We will return!!"

"We went for the 'blue-haired special' at 5pm on a Sunday for my mother-in-law's birthday and it was perfect for the occasion. The service was great, food was excellent and ambiance was just right for having lovely conversation. The moussaka was excellent as was the lamb chops. My mother-in-law loved her salmon dish. It was a great find."

While it looks nondescript, the food and service is outstanding. On valentines day we started with Saganaki. It was quite good. They brought it out and lit it on the table. It was a nice size and had good flavor. We shared the soup of the day which was potato and leek. OMG I would go back just for that soup. A bowl was good size and the flavor was totally surprising with bits of leek in the soup and small bits of potato. It had a nice amount of cream.
My wife had the petrale sole which was awesome. Very tender/fresh and lightly . served with veggies and rice. I had the calamari which was very fresh with a nice batter. it could have been just a tad more crisp."

"The staff at the Gold Coast Grill is unmatched in our area. They are professional, while being engaging and responsive. They truly appreciate the fact that we were there. They were nice to everyone. The food was excellent. Between the four of us, we had the sole (fabulous), the salmon (excellent), and the lamp (great). Everything is fresh and cooked perfectly."

"I ate here a few weeks ago and someone at the next table recommended the linguini and clams. I tried it on Staurday and it was superb! Our party was for 5, and everyone enjoyed their meal. My one criticism of this place is the unfortunate lighting. But I would rather have great food in a so-so setting that the opposite."

"It was my second time at The Gold Coast Grill. It was good, but not quite as good as the first time. I had lobster - my favorite food, but it could have been cooked a little more - it was a little under done - and it was also a bit bland. The server was nice but seemed a little distracted. The bartender talked to us on the way out, and he seemed very nice. The bar seems very comfortable as well. We said that we might eat at the bar next time we are there. I still like the vibe here - nice place to dress up and have a date."
