"The friend was more than right. This place is fabulous. Extended restaurant week menu was tempting, but offers on regular a la carte menu couldn't be passed up. Standouts include ceviche, rack of lamb, appetizers were excellent. Don't miss the leek blue cheese ravioli. Real value in wine list with wide selection, quality emphasized over quantity. Intelligent and perceptive service was not intrusive but on top of things throughout entire meal. Deserts were special, delicious and varied. Definitely will be back."

"As opposed to many other restaurants in the area, Chachama grill's emphasis is on Quality, rather than quantity. This does not mean to say that the quantity is lacking, rather that it just seems ideal, while the quality of the food is always excellent. Not sure how many times we have eaten here, but we have never had any complaint, nor have we been dissatisfied with any aspect of the meals or service."

"This restaurant has been one of our favorites for a number of years! Although unassuming on the outside (as it's situated in a shopping plaza), once inside you are transported to a softly-lit, tastefully-decorated room where both the small, but more than adequate, bar and the intimate dining area are located. You are warmly greeted by a gracious hostess who treats you like a member of her family and goes out of her way to ensure that you are having the best possible dining experience. The wait staff is attentive, engaging, and knowledgeable. The food is consistently delicious and innovative; the meals are always beautifully prepared and presented. We look forward to our next visit!"

"Rather dull. Entire staff has no personality. One roll, served with tongs. No one ever asked if we cared for another one. Thanks, but no thanks. At least bring over a basket with a selection. Allow the customer to take what they want, and take the rest away. Then there will be no waste, and everybody is happy. Not very hospitable. Food was OK. I've had much better, for the same price. Won't be returning."

"It was our first time at Chachama Grill, and we loved it! The restaurant is certainly a neighborhood gem, hidden in a mundane plaza in East Patchogue. Form the moment we walked in the door, we felt special. We arrived early in order to have a drink at the bar. The bar was not crazy-busy and we were able to enjoy a drink before dinner. Once seated, we realized how small and intimate the place really is. It was a welcome change from the noisy, crowded restaurants we usually go to with hundreds of people around us. The food was excellent. The portions are just right and the presentation was superb. The Oysters Rubio (named after the chef) are to die for! It's a bit pricey but the fact that it's tough to get a reservation speaks for itself."

"One of South Shores best kept secrets. I would have never found the place, or gone in for that matter, except for the recommendation of some foodie friends whom I totally respect. It is located in a not-so -new shopping center so you might overlook it. DON'T!! It's one of the best restaurants around. The food and service are excellent and the prices are more than fair. "Unfortunately there was only one waiter for the whole restaurant on the day we were there. The food was excellent, so it didn't spoil the whole luncheon for our large party. We had long wait times for ordering and receiving each segment of the meal. The one person was maitre d, waiter and bartender, so it really slowed things down."

"Food was outstanding!
One major problem though was where we were seated. Despite having a reservation and arriving on time, seated at table next to bar and close to door. Given there was a large party waiting to be seated and cold temperatures, this took away from overall experience.
Will dine there again, but it will be last time if we get this same table."

"can't wait to go back. I have recommended to everyone I know. Loved this place and the food was so fresh, well prepared and served. It was embarrassing that my plate was "licked" clean....."
