"I wish It had more entree choices, I love steak but it is starting to not be my favorite food anymore. The scallops, and escargot were amazing, the lamb my hubby had..... Phenomenal. Martinis are the best I ever had especially original sin. I would definitely go again but maybe a little later so I can catch the band..... My hubby had my steak the next morning for breakkie, it was awesome!"

"We were a party of five for lunch, and three of us were disappointed to learn that they did not have two of the five lunch items available that day, so why were they even open. Anyway, we decided to order from what's available and it took them 45 minutes to get us the food, and nothing we ordered was anything special at all! And the fries came brown/burnt!

This was not our first time at this place - it had been rather excellent before, but this time was extremely disappointing. The service was not good either and when we paid the bill, the waiter gave our host the look for only tipping 15% instead of the machine-default tip of 20%.

I will probably not include this restaurant again in my list of choices for special occasion dining."

"We had a wonderful time at the Vintage Chophouse. The live music was great and the ambiance wonderful.

My suggestions would be to use far less Montreal Steak Spice - it really was too much. The meat is excellent and the heavy spices detracted.

They have a huge but very expensive wine list. Corkage is not allowed which disappointed as we wanted to share in a lovely bottle of Bordeaux that we brought from France."

"Food is always fresh and service is always above and beyond! Sat on the lounge side which was a bit disappointing due to the uncomfy seating and noise level so a bit disappointed as I made a reservation weeks back but my clients were younger and didn't seem to mind too much."

"Went to Vintage Chophouse for a business dinner on the recommendation of a good friend. We found the food (steaks w/ sides & salads) to be quite good and well prepared. The drawback was the slow service. Our server was more intent on handling his larger tables and we had to repeatedly remind him to get attention. I'd probably go back."

"My husband & I both had the tenderloin, and the flavor was outstanding.
We each ordered asparagus for sides and my husband ordered a side of mushrooms.
The portions were ginormous and one side would have been sufficient for both of us.
Our server was good, and the staff extremely friendly."

"What a disaster. What started with a great choice of salads and a great wine ended in one of the worse steaks I have eaten. My was cold in the middle and well done on the outside, two of my coworkers were over seasoned and the fourth one was good but again cold . The lobster well , that one we had to send back. Now what surprises me is you have a table where one lobster was sent back and one of the steaks barely eaten and no one bothered to check what was going wrong. At the end we decided to go elsewhere for deserts in an attempt to salvage the evening. When we told the manger he basically gave us that what you what from me attitude .... Definitely not coming back."

"Took my dad for an early Father's Day dinner and it was the perfect place. Lucked out with a waygu rib eye as the butchers cut and those blew us away. Have been before and will go back. Best steak in the city!"

"I have come to expect an overall "very good" experience at Vintage. This time was disappointing as the service, particularly our server, was inattentive at best. The hostess is getting better but, could still use some training regarding receiving and seating guests.

My guest and I both had the Alberta "wagu" streak which was very good and would have been excellent but, was a little too salty.

Vintage has a great wine list. Note to servers; please offer to re cork the unfinished wine so that it can be taken home.

I will be back as I am hoping this was an isolated experience. Vintage has been the best chop house in town and my "go to" steak place."

"Reservation at 8pm. There was an open table however we were asked to sit at the bar for over 30min without even being offered anything to drink once! After personally identifying the open table to the staff we finally were able to sit. At a minimum they should have offered something for waiting so long, especially waiting at a bar without even an offer of a drink! In addition, steaks delivered to the table were mixed up. While it was my first time to your restaurant, I assume this isn't your "first rodeo". Service seemed otherwise."

"Great Restaurant atmosphere, not too loud but also not a tomb. The food was excellent, my wife's steak came over done but our server and the manager immediately ensured that the situation was corrected, above and beyond what I would have expected. Server was attentive but not pushy all evening. We ended up closing down the restaurant side. Restaurant honored my requested of a tucked away spot in the "velvet room", a booth enclosed by 3 walls for a more intimate dining experience.

Extensive wine/spirits selection and server knowledge capable of providing insightful suggestions and recommendations."

"It may not have been the best steak I have ever had, but it was right up there in the top 5 for sure. I asked for a Chicago style strip and it was delivered perfectly cooked. Alberta beef, properly aged and prepared, hard to go wrong. The Caesar salad was not done table side, but still pretty flavorful, and the mac and cheese was a nice side, even if it had truffle oil instead of the real thing, and yes there is a difference. The wine list was decent, including one of my favorites, Burrowing Owl Cab Franc, A little overpriced, but seldom seen on a wine list, and a gem. A band started playing in the adjacent tavern, which was not overpowering in the dining room. Not the first time I have been here and certainly not the last."

"We dined in the restaurant, the food and service was excellent, only one person in our party had room for desert. Then we headed over to the Tavern area and had drinks while listening to the excellent band. We will return next time we are in Calgary!"

"Our group of 4 had an absolutely divine experience at the Vintage Chophouse. Each of us tried a different cut of meat and shared 4 different sides. Everyone overly enjoyed their mouth watering cuts of meat that were cooked to perfection. Our side dishes were so delicious that we barely touched our 1 dessert shared by the group. The Vintage Chophouse's wine list was a little intimidating but our knowledgeable server (Alex) was very helpful in suggesting the perfect pairing and even offered to retrieve the wine director for us."

"The food was good, but nothing special. I have had better and worse. 2 people for $180.00 is not bad for mains, bottle of wine and desserts. Service was sparse and it took a while for the waitress to come around to begin with which left us sitting for 20 mins without even a glass of water. The sides were really good to share. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and we were seated in a nice booth by the bar."

"I took my sister their for her Birthday, great selection of starters, appetizers and main courses, the servers are very knowledgeable on the different cuts of meat offered, bringing out a butcher block with them all on and explaining each cut. The wine selection is very extensive and offers more than enough selection to satisfy most people, had a lovely Burgundy Cote-deor, made me think of my time I spent their. The deserts were very good, and a nice finish to the meal, I really enjoyed the old school baked Alaskan.... Yummy. Definitely be back.... Especially to hear some more of the music played by the live band in the lounge."

"Our experience here was like no other...great atmosphere, great service, great food...best tenderloin my tongue has ever tasted....and I consider myself a tenderloin connoisseur....wonderful selection of wines. A live band played in the lounge and they were a great add on to the evening. The food was served in an orderly fashion and very well presented. Our waiter was fun and personable...and very good at reading our needs throughout the evening. The atmospehere was warm and friendly with a great energy and vibe. The waiter promised we would never go anywhere again after eating here...and well...he delivered on his promise! Looking very forward to my next steak craving!"

"Great restaurant. Went on a Saturday night and after 10pm there was live music playing in the lounge area. Was nice to hear the music even though we were in the main dining room area. Great for special occasion and the staff are very friendly."
